  4. Hi! I'm big fun of GoodNotes5 using everyday!

    Summery

I want to suggest to implement new function.
It's file explorer pane like VSCode.

    Why I suggest this.

When I edit lots of files, it's difficult to move to other file quickly. If there is File Explorer Pane on the left side like IDEs, it's easier to move to other file.
    Regards.

    1. Reverting works for the whole document - even if I on the second page by reverting I can clean up the first one. It’s really annoying.

Would be nice to have reverting working for each page rather than the whole document

    1. By some accidental reverting or just inaccurate editing I can lose data or put some new edits I was not intended to but I won’t notice it right away.

Would be nice to have an ability to lock a page from editing or reverting

  5. in order to create perfect technical drawings, you need an improved shape tool and a ruler (like apple notes). It would even be best if you could edit them afterwards without having to remove them. Then it would be the perfect app.

  6. GN5 has three tabs to find documents: Documents, Search and Favorite. It would be very convenient to add a new tab to open recently used documents.

  7. It would be great to have more options of editing images:
    Prioritised order —
    * able to change order PLEASE (send to front or back)
    * rounded corners (roundedness can be scalable)
    * edit image (exposure, contrast, saturation, brightness, etc....)
    * mask / cut with shape (circle, square, etc...)

  8. It would be useful if we could insert small little boxes in our notes\ pdfs, that when pressed would open a bigger box where we could put our extra informations, like in the image below

  9. Imagine you are writing a thesis, you need to read tonnes of heavy journals and you want to easily extract the essence of the content for use in your work. While highlighting is useful, being able to remove everything else and only see the highlighted content you have marked will significantly improve the understanding of that journal.
And imagine if the content is editable too, as in exporting it to a Word file. Can you imagine how this reduces the time spent on reviewing literature??!

  10. Right now, it is a little bit complicated to choose new colors in GoodNotes 5 since one has to tap on several menus to arrive at the color wheel. I wish there would a a feature that'd show previously used colors in a palette, down there the usual colors. (Also: adding colors to the palette is confusing! And the hexadecimal RGB-Code shows the value "#ffffff' no matter what color until you move the color picker.)

  11. I love the new GoodNotes 5, but I miss the zoom window from GoodNotes 4. I liked how the zoom window had an undo button and the three color change boxes right there. When writing in the zoom window now, it’s a bit tedious to have to reach all the way to the top of the screen to undo or change color.

  12. Sometimes I want to add to a page and using the pen setting matching the existing writings. (For example, to use the same pen thickness, color, style).

I wonder if a new tool can be added to recognize pen settings from selection.

    Thanks!

  13. macOS version desperately needs to be included in the share menu so apps can send data to Goodnotes e.g send webpage content and share PDF to be imported into GN5.

  15. when I tap the lasso tool, I would love that there will be an option in the menu for shapes created by shape tool, just like those options for handwriting, images, text boxes.

For instance. Sometimes I might write on color-filled shapes. I would lasso it if I need to move it, but it would be impossible to move the handwriting without the shape along with it, because the shape was color-filled and I wrote on it.

  16. Like for the eraser, please add the option to deselect highlighter. The main purpose of this app is for annotating with pen, not simply highlighting. Like the eraser, it’s frustrating having to tap the pen every time I finished highlighting.

Like for reading a long book, after highlighting a good quote I want to be able to go back and annotate straight away.

This small addition would be very helpful.

  19. I am still using the Goodnotes 4 app because the pen thickness options are much better. In 5, the ball pen is either too thin, the smallest option, or too thick, the middle option and higher. None of the present options feel natural. In Goodnotes 4, I use the 3rd weight (2nd thickest) and there is no direct equivalent in 5. The variations between thicknesses in 5 is too great.
