Integration with GitHub
I would like to suggest integrating GitHub accounts with GoodNotes to enable synchronization between a specific repository and a designated GoodNotes directory (or a virtual directory mimicking the repository). This feature would use the GitHub API to periodically push and pull data, allowing for backup creation and facilitating tracking edits and collaboration. Considering its intended use in university settings, if the API costs become a concern, offering this functionality as part of the GitHub Student Developer Pack could be an option. I appreciate your consideration of this suggestion. Thanks.

Study set tags
I’d like for there to be a way to “tag” cards within individual study sets a variety of colors. For example, if I have cards related to biology, I can tag them “green” and cards related to math can be “red”. When I go to study all of my cards, I want to be able to customize how many of each “tag” I want in my study session. For example, maybe I want to have a study session that’s mostly Biology with some Math as well. I would customize that I want 15 “green” cards and 5 “red” cards in…

Pen stability, streamline, pen smoothing or whatever.
I know it's been asked a few times but none recently (from what I have seen). I think it would be the best addition for people like me who write in cursive so that our handwriting is simplified (because I put so much pressure on the pen to write neatly). Procreate has this option and it's so helpful !

Add links for handwriting
When selecting objects written with pen or highlighter by using the lasso tool, add an option to the lasso tool which allows you to create internal and external links just like we can currently do with text!

Search handwriting with handwriting
Instead of searching indexed text, I want to be able to search with a handwritten phrase/drawing. The result would be whatever looks most similar in my handwriting. This would be a game changing feature.

Option to disable Smart Learn for a given Study Set
Having an option to disable the smart learn mode for a given study set feels essential. As of now, a study set that I used Smart Learn mode on one time keeps notifying me in the menu forever, while I don’t need to learn it anymore.
This also risks keeping me from finding the sets that I need to study now, in the midst of all past study sets.
I don’t want to delete them, I just wish I could disable the smart learn mode/notifications for specific sets.

GN6: More Folder Colour options with MUTED COLOURS / Colorwheel
Pls: The New Folder Icons are WAY too big, cartoonish, and colours look GARISH!!
Please make more colour options available, to make them look at least less CHAOTIC! ( Colour wheel / Colour picker)
Changing the size of the Folders when in Gallery mode, would be VERY HELPFUL, indeed.. Or Better: Change the folder SYMBOLS in general..
( Presets or possibiltity of self-made symbols would be cool) But definetely let us decrease the size.. ( Maybe with a simple slider, +/- sign at the bottom or simply by PINCHING our fingers)10 votes -
Automatic backup: integration of pcloud.com with their API
Your automatic backup is a great feature My request: Please include https://www.pcloud.com/ in your list of backup locations.
The backup folder should be user defined.
The ability to restore GoodNotes notebooks from backup should also be implemented.
pCloud has a full API: https://docs.pcloud.com/. Maybe https://pipedream.com/apps/pcloud can help you or give you some ideas.

Similar to the old school paper notebooks, I am having difficulty writing at the bottom of any page, as my hand is out of level from the notebook (iPad goodnotes) and I do not like leaving my pages half blank just because its a digital notebook.
It will be very helpful to write with the same comfort level on the whole page if the bottom of the page can be pulled to the middle (at least while in Zoom) with non-writable blank space to put my palm on.

Smaller UI
The UI does not have to always be visible. When i am taking notes i just want a FULLSCREEN (see that idea too) paper and maybe a widget on one of the edges for changing the color or the thickness of my pen. I don't need to have the save and delete and bookmark and tabs and title and everything on top of the paper. Just tools and colors. For more there should be a pop-up menu or something.

The comments should be searchable in GoodNotes!!
Comments is a very useful way to take notes, thus I write many of my thoughts in comments. However, I find I can’t search for my comment in GoodNotes, which cost me a lot of time to search my notes. I hope the the contents inside the comments can be searched.10 votes -
Tapping flash cards in study sets to write.
Having to tap each field of a flash card to start writing on it in study sets edit mode is so inconvenient that it is faster to write the cards as a normal flash card file and then convert it into study sets. Please provide an option allowing users to instantly write new flashcards without tapping. Love the app!

pCloud Support
Please add support for automatic backup to pCloud as well as importing easily from pCloud.
They have a public API that should make this a relatively easy task.

Line up thickness
Please can we have the three line thickness options back on the toolbar? It’s an extra click now to access a drop down which is less convenient.
I think you’ve replaced it with an extra line colour option but I preferred it before.

Margin Extender
Be able to add set amount of blank white margin to an imported file. Currently, my round about would be open it through the MarginAdjuster app (Made by some japanese) the after editing it in the app, open with Goodnotes. It would be better if the process would be seamless and more people would be able to access this kind of feature.
