Editing Length of Audio Recording
I accidentally didn't turn off my audio recording on my iPad and it has been recording for 5 hours. I want to edit it so that it's only the length of my lecture but there's no option to do so. Please add a way to shorten the length of the recording. Thank you.

Night Mode for PDFs and the app in general
Could you guys make it a sort of greyscale effect when given the Night Mode option. Auto Converts any uploaded pdf into dark mode when using in the app, and converts black to white and vice versa. This would be especially useful when revising at night in a medium lit environment. I gave a little idea in the picture. Hopefully would give some idea.

Please add GIF Support
This feature has been requested for years, please at least add GIF support if video support is not possible. This is crucial for many learners these days.
Then I will even upgrade to Goodnotes 6. Otherwise, the other new features of version 6 are absolutely superfluous for me (and I think for many other users as well)13 votes -
Linking together images/shapes and be able to align them easily
When I'm making several shapes or using images and want to be able to auto align them by either aligning of the top, bottom, middle, etc. Also the ability to space them evenly would be amazing.

Move tools around in tool ribbon
Would be great if you could re-organize the toolbar or tool ribbon at the top of the page. I use the zoom window the most, but it's all the way on the right so I have to swipe on the toolbar with my finger to get to it. it would be great if I (or you) could put it right next to the pen tool.

Laser in audio recordings
When I am using the new feature audio recordings, I have to write over my work with a pen in order to see what I am referring to on the video. It would be nice to be able to use the existing laser pointer in the video and for it to come through on the video when I watch it later in time.

Adjust opacity of highlighter
Could we get an option to adjust the opacity of the highlighter we are using? In using it as a marker it would be nice to have the option for the color to be fully opaque, and then sometimes when highlighting it is nice to have a color brighter in some areas and more transparent in others.

Revert stroke thickness and colour controls to before 5.9.88
In version 5.9.88, an extra slot for stroke colour was added, burying thickness control out of easy reach. Reverting to three colour slots and easier-to-access stroke thickness controls would be more convenient

Bring back the favorites tabs in the header
Since the update that includes voice memos, the favorites button is no longer in at the top with the other tools like took up and export. I would prefer it was brought back because it takes much longer now to add a favorite page. Thanks!

Goodnotes Online
I love using goodnotes, however it would be even better if I could get it on my school chromebook. I think that you should make a website where people from any device can access the app on a website, like the notion app. They have a website, that allows that same features as the app.

flipping
when resizing the image, lines, objects, etc, make it able to flip horizontally and vertically and have the option to fix its proportions while doing so and show degrees when simply just rotating.

More than 3 colours at the top
People have been asking for this since at least 2019. I felt the need to report since it is halfway through 2022 and there still is only 3 colours. There is a lot of unused space in the top par, even in smaller iPad models. There is space for at minimum 6 colours. Having to switch back and forth makes note taking a lot less efficient. GoodNotes is far behind. Notability allows us to add a large numb of favourite pens/highlighters and dag the fact bar across the screen. Multiple Favorites for Text Box
Being able to save more than one text style is necessary for Titles and Headers while taking notes. One more reason I have had to switch to notability. They allow three saved text favorites with font, color, and size.

combined colour palettes for tools
it would be nice for colour palettes to be shared across tools so that we don't have to add the same colour multiple times for each tool's palette.

Colour Options
Like to be able to change the colours for goodnotes and having only 3 options for the colours with one usually being black is quite restrictive and changing it every time can be tedious. Would be very nice if we could have more pen colour options on the toolbar. Thanks for considering my idea!

Writing stabilisation
Add the option to increase/reduce stabilization of hand-drawn strokes and as this would help make a lot of people's handwriting less jittery and MUCH MUCH neater.
For reference, Procreate has a great stabilization feature and I absolutely love using that to write down important titles... If not customizable stabilization, then a stabilization of around 30% to 35% on the Procreate standard would be absolutely wonderful :D

So many basic tools are missing
*no send to back/bring to front options
*no table creation options
*no way of editing hyperlinks within goodnotes, you have to do it externally
*no layer tool (adding this would solve the send to back issue)
*no opacity settings for pens
*no bullet point options for typingThese are such basic tools in other apps and I’m actually astounded GoodNotes does not have them. Even word 2007 had some of these options, let’s not pretend they’re innovative tools. Without them GoodNotes is frustrating to use and frankly just a poor way of organising information, I really expect better, come on…

Putting mind mapping, tables, and shifting documents to another page
1 - There should be at least different types of tables available.
2- mind mapping should a must have thing for students for making and remembering notes very easily.
3 - shifting of documents ,notes , and pictures automatic to next page if added in between will be very helpful for us.13 votes -
Lock zoom window
Give users an option to not snap the main view to the zoom window whenever the zoom window moves: just have the main view stay on content
