Add Zoom with Mac Magic Mouse
Allow zoom in or zoom out using the opt key+swipe up and down on Mac magic mouse as i.e. Adobe Acrobat.

‘Freeze’ main window when using zoom box
When writing in the zoom box, it is often convenient to focus the main window at a site separate from the place one is writing. In GN4 the window stayed where it ‘was set’. In GN5, it slides to the place of writing. Please freeze the main window. (And return the other features of the GN4 zoom box, as others suggest :)). Thanks for a great App!

Arrange objects
We need the option of sending back a diagram or bring text to the front, because when drafting and stuff, its a bit disappointing having to erase or re-do stuff in order for it to fit hierarchy when working

Tabs in notebooks with pages
Please add notebooks with rename able tabs and ability to add subpages under the tabs like a table of contents

Copy or cut, after update
Since the last update, if you want to copy or cut some text out and past it somewhere else, you first need to hold long onto the text, and then you need to switch to the menu to the right. Before the update you didn't need to switch to the right, this was better and faster.

Simple theme based icons (similar to PowerPoint )
I would really love to see a lot more theme based icons which can be directly imported in a notebook. They would save a lot of time, since you don’t have to draw them manually anymore and they would improve learning by visualizing the topic!
This could be easily located in the new Sticker menu (with a search function).
A really good example is the icons menu in PowerPoint.
Example:
You type „school“
Icons: School Building Icon, Classroom icon, calculator icon etc.
I think it would be Important that these icons look very simple (Not fancy and colorful) just like…4 votes -

Filter & add more pages to Outline
A feature where you can filter Outline topics for example if I created an Outline and called it "Javascript Variables" and pages 2-6 are related to "Javascript Variables" I'd like to filter by that topic only.

Quick scrolling as in other pdf viewers.
I really miss the feature that many other pdf viewers (and browsers, eg safari) have, where one presses and holds the scrolling button to move it up/down to a desired page.

sound of chalk writing on blackboard
Love the app. I use it to teach computer science and mathematics subjects to college students in online mode. For the math course, at present I start with an empty white background and write on it. I was wondering if it would be possible, using your app, to recreate the experience of teaching on a blackboard by simulating the sound that the chalk makes on the blackboard, so that when I write on a black background template (with white color pen), if I enabled this option, then the students will hear a sound whenever my apple pencil is writing on…

Recolor Highlighter
Similar items have been suggested but only after selecting them which is cumbersome. Would love an option to recolor text by using a variant to the highlighter. Just like dragging a highlighter over text would highlight it, the recolor highlighter would instead recolor the text you've drawn a line over to the color selected. Think of it like putting a strike through a sentence, but instead of the line strike, the result would be changing the color of that underlying text from black to red for example. Much better UX than trying to draw a select around text.

PowerPoint Notes/Comments Tab
When converting a powerpoint to GoodNotes, it would be great if the comments and notes that were attached in the PowerPoint were able to be transferred as well. Since the conversion to online, my professors just post the slides with notes attached to certain slides to elaborate more on the topics. These comments and notes aren’t transferred but it would be nice to get these ported over to GoodNotes.

Add undo feature to snap curve to line
I love the feature that if you draw a freehand line and keep your pen on the screen then it snaps to a straight line. But sometimes I draw/write something complicated and leave the pen down too long by mistake. I then have to erase and start again. It would be nice to be able to undo the snapping to a straight line and return to whatever I originally drew rather than return to before I started drawing.

Dark mode
I would love to have a feature where I could turn on dark mode only in GoodNotes and that I don’t have to turn on dark mode on the whole iPad

Look at power point - and add most of the features found with regard to
Layers/shapes/form background/PASSWORD PROTECTION.
I could go on, buy GN 5 is still quite awesome. Just add the password protection and be done with that silliness already!
Oh, and sync with iCal / add alarm features for the TO DO list please!

reduce motion
The motion when switching to another file, change page, or other things is very annoyed. The motion improve the beautifullness of the app, but I use this app for work and study, I think the motion is useless, time consuming, and make the app slower.
I prefer instant change to another page and reduce all the motion

Please add good notes on windows! I have a surface book and want to use good notes so bad but I can’t. It’s forcing me to use one note instead. I don’t want to buy an iPad when I have a perfectly capable tablet. Please add this to windows software!!
