Shift document view off-center for handwriting
I do understand that it makes sense for the document to pop back into central view when dragging to the side, but when handwriting at the document’s edge, this becomes an annoyance.
How about a new action/feature where the documents still pop back into central view under normal circumstances, but when the user really drags the document far off to the side, the document stays there at the side of the screen. Now the user can handwrite comfortably, with his hand resting on the black part (background) of the screen, and the document on the other side of the screen. And when the user wants it back into the default ‘pop to center view’, just slide/flick the document back towards the center and it’ll be back to the default behavior.
Without this feature, handwriting on a document’s edge will result in a person’s hands needing to be held off the side of the device’s screen, which is not good. With the ability to keep the document on a particular side of the screen, the user’s hand can rest on the other side of the screen for more comfortable handwriting.
In the first photo, is the current state of GoodNotes where the hand goes off the device surface. The second photo shows the ideal GoodNotes where a document can be set into a particular side (not split view) so the handwriting hand can rest on the tablet screen.

Selected notes on the lock screen when there's a reminder
There are already ideas to have reminder. extended from the idea, to have the reminder notes showing on the lock screen.

Query Intervals
Please make smaller query intervals for cards you don't know yet. Even if I have classified half of the flashcards as difficult, the query interval increases significantly.I think it's good that not every day the same flashcards and always only a few flashcards are queried. Nevertheless, the date for the next query should also take into account the cards that were not queried on this day and were previously classified as hard, otherwise they will be queried, for example only in two weeks, which affects the learning progress.

Improve Text
The text function needs improvement in my opinion. I would like it if there was an option for automatic bullets with an index instead of spacebar + - (see attached image)
This would make the text more pleasing to write and look at.Furthermore, when I copy and paste text boxes e.g. the „bold“ font disappears and i have to turn words/sentences bold again. An improvement would make my work way faster.
It‘s a small detail, but it seems that whenever i type the text and i want to edit the first word or add a word in front of the first word and use my cursor / pen to locate the spot it makes the box move. So then I have to press on the 2nd letter of the first word and move with the arrows. I hope that makes sense :)

less steps for copying and changing color
Every time I copy or do screen capture, it takes me 3 steps from different buttons to copy the picture, so my hand needs to move up, top right for copying.... can streamline for copying process?
Also, every time I change color, I need to move my pen from left to right for selecting different color, is it possible to allocate the changing color just under "pen" button? So my hand can move less for that action?

More Intuitive Color Picker
Right now, it is a little bit complicated to choose new colors in GoodNotes 5 since one has to tap on several menus to arrive at the color wheel. I wish there would a a feature that'd show previously used colors in a palette, down there the usual colors. (Also: adding colors to the palette is confusing! And the hexadecimal RGB-Code shows the value "#ffffff' no matter what color until you move the color picker.)

Group pages together to move them all at once and number them into this group
It would be great to be able to link and lock pages together.
When you are taking notes on a subject and you have multiple pages, you could link them and the, if you need to reorder these pages in your notebook they will always move together.5 votes -
formatting
Do not change font and formatting of text when changing the size of the font. When you have text with various formatting (underlining, bolding, or italics), changing the font size of the entire group of text will change the formatting and apply the bold or italics to all characters within the group.
If the size of entire group of text is changed, only the size of the text should change. The formatting should remain unchanged.1 vote -

for example for PowerPoint PDFs necessary, because ther is no template with that format.

Add sticky page markers to your notebooks and PDF documents
It would be so cool if you could add sticky mage markers (see attachment) to your notebooks and PDF documents – just like in a "real" notebook. If you "click" on a page marker, you jump to that section. But the difference is, this does not have to be a structure point or something.
Also, I cannot use bookmarks, because I cannot arrange those in several categories which I would definitely need.
Also, this would be quite handy.

Patch Tool
I like how the patch tool works in Photoshop, and I think it would be useful in GoodNotes too. I would use it to edit diagrams and remove parts, such as labels, that I do not want. Here is an example of how the patch tool works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=II4lfxoNrJ8
Even though the patch tool is commonly used to edit photographs, it can definitely be used for editing illustrations too. I have used the patch tool in Photoshop before, and I started seeing the need for it again as I was trying to prepare diagrams for GoodNotes. I feel that it would be very beneficial if GoodNotes offered some tools for editing image backgrounds.
Other tools that can also be useful for editing diagrams are the clone tool, as well as tools for removing the background by making it transparent.

Resizing Based on Corners, Not Center
Suggestion: Have the opposite corner as the pivot point when adjusting the size (how all document editors have it)
Currently: Center of the image as the pivot point.
Reasoning: To adjust images to the same size as the one next to it without having to constantly reposition the item

Scaling of line thickness
I wish I had the ability to select a line and change just the thickness of the line (just like you can color). I often draw things and realize the object it too big or small. When I change the size of what I drew, it changes the thickness as well. I'll often misjudge how something looks and not realize the lines are all too narrow or too thick. This would allow me to select them and change them to a new thickness (much like you can color) without changing the size of the object.
Several years ago, there were a ton of folks that were looking for this option.

Mathematical notation
The use I meant to do with the iPad is a sort of infinite whiteboard. And I use to draw diagrams and mathematical notation.
Would I be able to use the Lasso tool for exporting formulas to something editable in text, like LaTeX? Maybe with a huge community of students and researchers currently using Goodnotes that may be interested to that.5 votes -
Virtual desktops for documents
I have a professional app that allow user to create a virtual desktop on whatever thematic. Inside you can bookmark all the file, page, folder related to that thematic. I find that very pratical.
It would be great that Goodnotes develops this. For example we could create a desktop for "Gardening" where I could link all the documents already in Goodnotes, relating to gardening, it could be a whole file, a folder, a bookmark.
Then I could create a desktop, "Current homework" with all my current work, like a temporary desktop.
It's very interesting because you don't have anymore to search in all your favorites or your documents tree to find each time all the file.
It will look like your real desktop table when you are working with all the books open at the correct page !!Hope you will find the idea interesting :-)

Maintain text size when converting handwriting to text.
When converting handwriting to text, it maintains what is written on each line but not the text size. It would be a great feature if the text size was maintain.
