Mirror presenter page: scale to align top and sides rather than top and bottom
I use goodnotes on an ipad when teaching large calculus classes. The vertical scroll feature with "mirror presenter page" is great, but currently the projected image is scaled so that the top and bottom of the student view matches the top and bottom of the ipad view. This forces the instructor to turn the ipad sideways (in landscape orientation) to make use of the full width of the projector screen. But then the zoom window interface hides at least 1/3 of the screen on the ipad, obscuring much of what the students see from the instructor's view. It would be nice to turn the ipad vertically (in portrait orientation) and still have the width of the page on the ipad match the width of the page on the projector. The zoom interface could then occupy clipped real estate that the students don't see anyway. Right now, if we zoom in to fill the width of the projector screen when the ipad is vertical, the sides of the pages are severely clipped on the ipad. With "vertical scroll" and "mirror presenter page", it seems much more natural to have the top and sides of the images match up and the bottom be clipped on the projector or the ipad. (If the tool position is set to "top", then I guess you'd want to align to the bottom of the page and clip the top if necessary)

Automatic Heading Numbering & Grammarly Integration.
I create my notes off professors’ notes, and thus I need an option to go to a subsequent number when I hit enter. I still use Microsoft Word for this because GOODNOTES 5 doesn't offer this possibility. Also, it would be great if you could integrate GRAMMARLY to GOODNOTES 5.

annotate pdf without importing into goodnotes
Often times I annotate pdf in dropbox/Google Drive. I'd like to use goodnotes a PDF annotation tool rather than use PDF expert because I like the UI. I don't want to have to import PDFs directly into goodnotes and then export it.

Take a picture with iPhone camera instead of iPad camera
Take a picture with iPhone camera instead of iPad camera.
For better usability it would be easier to use user's iPhone to take picture and it is a feature I need every day. (Apple notes app has the feature)6 votes -
Customized colours when using The Lazo/Lasso instrument to change the color of a handwritten note
There is often the need to change the colour of a handwritten note or a marker sign through the lasso/lazo instrument, but we can’t choose between our personally customized colours: instead there are only a few default ones, that never match the ones that we have been using for the rest of the document.
It would be very handy of you add this functionality to the said instrument.1 vote -

Add "delete page" to the "More" menu
Simplify the "delete page" feature by adding it to the More menu. This would make the deletion process much quicker, logical (and easier to remember).

Switch from pen to lasso, and scribble to erase
I switch between pen and lasso probably about 10 times minimum in 5 minutes, if not more. I write things and like to continuously organise my content, my thoughts as I go. This is especially useful in process diagraming and mind mapping.
Automatically turning off lasso once used would be annoying if you have to organise multiple things sequentially.
I would like to see this feature improved by being able to swap the double-tap Apple Pencil 2 gesture for Pen --> Lasso --> Pen, rather than Pen --> Eraser --> Pen as it is by default.
An additional option to improve this whole experience would be to allow a 'scribble to erase' feature. Therefore I could write, scribble with my pen on top of words to erase them, and double-tap the Pencil 2 to switch to lasso.

Import original image size
Currently when you import or crop an image, it seemingly randomly resizes depending on how much you’re zoomed in etc. If you crop part of a full sized page, it will show the cropped part full sized after the cropping too. This is a very tedious process.
I create a lot of sticker sheets with labels, icons etc. If I export them as separate files from my graphic software, I’d like it to be imported in goodnotes at the exact dimensions I exported them at. Mainly since my dimensions are based on the document I am working with, so a sticky note or label will fit exactly where I want it to.
