Duplicate page
As part of my workflow, I am quite regularly wanting to insert a new page with just parts of what is on on my current page.
There are two ways I can accomplish this at the moment:
Open the multi-page view, tap edit, select the current page, tap copy, tap done, tap +, tap the + in a circle where I want to insert the page, tap "Paste Copied Pages", tap done, select my newly inserted page, use the lasso tool to select the parts of the pages I do not want to keep, and delete them.
Use the lasso tool to select only the content on the page that I want to keep, copy it, insert a new page (with the drag gesture if my current page is the last page, otherwise from the plus-in-a-circle menu in the toolbar), then paste in the copied content.
Option 2 is seemingly simpler, because it has quite a few less steps, but depending on the content of the current page, it can actually be quite difficult for me to select only the content I want to keep, as opposed to selecting what I want to remove. For this reason I often find myself having to use Option 1, which as you can see is a lot of steps, just to duplicate a page.
Ideally, it would be awesome to have a one-step option to duplicate the current page and insert it after (or before) the current page. I could see this as an additional option in the plus-in-the-circle menu in the toolbar as something like "Duplicate Page Above/Below", as a nice companion to the "Add Page Above/Below".
Such an option would dramatically reduce the number of steps required to complete my workflow as described in Option 1.
Thanks :)

Print from the page I am on
We can currently only print all pages or print 1 page, but I have lengthy notebooks with my math homework for instance, but I don't know the number of the page my homework starts on, I would like an option in addition to Print all and print this page, that would print starting from my current page. Sure its possible to scroll through the notebook and select the pages you actually want, but as I get further into the term, my notebooks get longer and longer and this becomes more and more tiresome.

Endless Paper
Sometimes to sketch things out letter or DIN A4 are to short, so it would nice to have endless paper (like OneNote). Which you can scale if you need to print it out. Or have something like 4 DIN A4 papers which fit together with tesa strip.

Better custom color selector
I like that there are a fair amount of colors to choose from, but it would be nice to have some way to make and save custom colors. Perhaps some sort of a color wheel.

Pen options
Add more pen options please! I don't like how my handwriting looks in this app but I love everything else this app has to offer. Notes Plus offers pen types that resembles my handwriting but is limited in areas where this app excels. Adding more pen options would eliminate the competition altogether for me.

Use the current highlighter color when highlighting selected text with the "highlight" button
As far as I can tell, the current version of GoodNotes (4.7) uses the default highlighter color of yellow when highlighting selected text with the "highlight" button. It would be great if GoodNotes could use whatever the currently selected highlighter color is, as I often use multiple colors of highlighters on a single document, and find the highlight button to be a far more accurate method of making crisp, accurate highlights than using my finger or stylus.

Is there a way to hide the new "sub-toolbar" in the Mac App?, it takes up valuable space!
The one that changes when clicking Select, Edit, Text, Pen, Highlight, Eraser...
I honestly think it doesn't make sense to have that toolbar always active when you are just visualizing a document without editing it. It takes up valuable space for visualization! (specially in Macs with small screens).
Is there a way to disable that "sub-toolbar"?

Pen and marker "presets" should store thickness and shape recognition settings
When choosing a preset, it would be useful if presets remembered what thickness you liked for that pen and if you had shape recognition enabled.
Use case: I'm studying on a PDF book; to underline and take notes I'm using:
- A yellow marker with shape recognition enabled to draw a perfect line on the text
- A red thick pen with shape recognition enabled to further underline
- A black thin pen and a red thin pen without shape recognition to write notes. With the current implementation, I have to choose the color, then choose the thickness, then enable shape recognition = Too many taps.
With this idea implemented, these features would be one tap away. When choosing a preset, it would be useful if presets remembered what thickness you liked for that pen and if you had shape recognition enabled.

Ability to view PDF annotations from other PDF software when imported into GoodNotes
Sometimes you highlight or add comments to a PDF using Preview or Adobe Reader on a computer. You then want to use GoodNotes to take additional notes; however, the previous annotations do not appear. This would be extremely helpful when taking notes.

Change paper template for whole notebook
Add an option to change the paper template throughout the whole notebook, so that in the end every page will have the same background with one simple tap.

allow quick-select options for highlighters in the zoom box, and also different widths for the pen quick-selects
fully customisable quick select options on the zoom box to allow us to have heading-width pen size and colours and different highlighter colours all just a single tap away.
6 quick select boxes as well as the eraser would be great!9 votes -
