Taking Notes while highlighting a pdf
Suppose I highlight and annotate text in a pdf. I want a summary of all my highlights (not my handwritten annotations), how can I do that. Once I can do that, and maybe the optionality for adding my handwritten annotations can be added as well, then this 'page' becomes my 'cover sheet' for the pdf. At a later date, I only need to refer to this sheet and if I need more clarity I can go to the underlying pdf which in any case is attached to the 'cover sheet'. This is a feature that is available in the 'free' version of the Highlights app - screenshot attached.

Search for word parts (not only beginning)
Search function to find wordparts
Example:
Note:
1234 5678
12345678Searching for 5678 should find both lines. This would be great because i get many pdf files named like productsheetproductname. to search for such a imported pdf i have to search for productsheetxyz with xyz the productname of the sheet im needing.

MacOS Share Menu Extension. IOS Share Actions Direct to Goodnotes.
IOS Sharing direct to Goodnotes irregardless of what the source application is. Currently Evernote and OneNote appear to be able to receive just about any share from any application on MacOs and IOS. Screenshot attached of a sample of what they are able to do. I also have a screen shot of how I can send an application to either Evernote or OneNote. Being able to share an output directly from an app into Goodnotes removes a 1 or 2 step necessity that would require a user to transform the output into pdf and then go into Goodnotes and import it. I have seen a series on requests on this, however I'm adding screen shots of my experience so its clear what Im pointing out.

Mac App power consumption way too high
It frequently takes up 97% of CPU power on a 2017 Macbook Pro 13-inch, and the fan on my mac just shouts like crazy (like fighter jets taking off from a carrier).

Suggestion about having some built-in shapes in GoodNotes 5
Currently, the shape tools in GoodNotes 5 is supported to “draw into shapes”. However, it will be easier to draw some complex shapes (especially coordinate system) by the shape function (with built-in shapes) in OneNote, which is shown in the video in the attachment. This function can also help users to draw shapes more precisely.

deactivate keyboard in text mode
when clicking on text, the keyboard automatically pops up and covers half the screen which makes it really hard to navigate or choose fonts and sizes etc. because the windows are super small. When deactivating the keyboard, the text edition mode also deactivates. It would be great if the keyboard could be deactivated while still in text editing mode. :)

Delete notebook locally
I would like to see a possibility to delete a notebook locally and only save it in the Cloud like it is done in Apple‘s books app. This would be helpful if you have a relatively small device storage and many large documents you don‘t need all the time. You could just download them if you need them to look something up.

Lasso should persist after undo of move.
When you lasso something, and then tap to get the options, sometimes the tap shoves the lasso'd material along a little bit. UNDO puts it back exactly where it was but, at the moment, also drops the lasso. It would be great if the lasso remained (and the options, of course) so you don't have to try it again (and again...) to tap without shoving.

Converting keyboard input text to handwriting.
I know, this suggestion sounds strange at the beginning. But if you take a moment to think about it, actually, it makes perfect sense:
1. The best part of goodnotes is not editing text but handwriting strokes. Thus, when text from a keyboard is converted to handwriting strokes, it would be much much easier for majority iPad users.
2. Save a lot of terrible handwriting users, like me. And it also makes notes look more consistent. :-)
3. I guess it would not be too difficult to implement, just let the app pretend to get some perfect user handwriting.3 votes -
Return option
“Return option” it would be great that after you open a document and have opened so many pages you could have an option to jump straight to the main documents page instead of clicking so many times to return to open a new Document but still be able to return within that currently open folder or document page by page as it operates now

Shareable/Group Documents
I would love the ability to have shared notebooks between users, in a "read only" or "read and write" capacity such as the sharing available on the native "notes" app for iOS and MacOS. This way we could share class/work notes with our colleagues in live time.

Delete a page inside a notebook
I hope we are able to delete a page inside a notebook via the hamburger menu. It is supper inconvenient to visit thumbnails and then click the arrow for deleting a page.

Simplify notebook management
On the documents menu. Instead of pressing the down arrow to access submenu for move, copy and trash. Can this be replaced with left or right swipe to offer the same options.
Instead of pressing the tick to open select all notes options Could this happen if you long press any note?
