Insert page of specific size
Please can you add an option where you can customise the size of the page being added? This will be especially useful when adding a new page to an already existing PDF that is not the same size as one of the template options. What would be even better would be if the app could detect the size of the current paged in use (like with the “use current template”) option, but then it lets you insert either a blank or a lined page.

Forms Collection
During my studies i use GoodNotes 5 every day and i love it.
But in some lectures we uses some symbols and characters often. And therefor is my idea.
Is there a possibility to creat an own library for often uses symbols?
That i only have to draw them once and save them in „my own symbols library“?
For example the summation sign (∑), or the drawing of electrical schematics with resistors, capacitors etc.4 votes -
バックアップするデータの指定
現状、iCloudバックアップはGoodNotes5に保存している全てのデータを自動でCloudにアップロードして他のデバイスでファイルに加えた変更が反映されるようになっているがデバイスごとの容量の違いから読み込めないファイルが発生してしまい容量の小さい方のデバイスでiCloudバックアップをオンにできない状況が発生しています。
例えば自分はiPad Pro(512Gb)とiPad mini(64Gb)を使っています。iPad Pro内のGoodNotes5に保存したデータが100Gbを超えており全てiCloudにアップロードしています。しかしiPadminiの容量が足りないためにiPadmini内のGoodNotes5のiCloudバックアップをオンにできない状況です。
この解決策としてGoodNotes5内の全てのファイルをiCloudにアップロードする必要はないため、アップロードするファイルを選択して使えるようにできたらより便利になると思います。

Scrolling in IPad Pro Magic Keypad Track?
I cannot scroll the IPad Pro up and down when using Apple Magic KeyBoard like I use in the Notability. It is really inconvenient when reading the documents

Can developers put the toolbar of the software on the left and right sides ？instead of just the up and down direction of the screen，i think i will get better use with my lefthand on screen. after solve it ,this app is perfect.

UNABLE TO EXCLUDE FILES FROM BACKUP
Not a suggestion, but complaint. Unable to set a file name to exclude from the auto-backup. I can't click on the section, and there is no where for me to set a file name to exclude.

if support text-overflow.. it will help in copying multiple pages from web to goodnotes in one go.

Zoom window blue area after return size
The Zoom window is too small when it moves to the next line. If you want to indent, it's really annoying to have to advance it to get a full sized window.

Improve the use of keyboard shortcuts
Match shortcuts with keys as in a computer. Moreover, when you go to the next page with the keyboard, the page advances but not the page counter and you cannot bookmark that page correctly, for example.

- search all files
- delete page
- mark/unmark page
- close current file
- switch between edit and view mode
- cmd + z / cmd + shift + z for undo and redoI think there can not be to many shortcuts, as they are invisible to everyone not using them. Add your ideas...

Page position
I was wondering if you can add a feature?
I would love it if you could make it that you can scroll the page you are working on up the screen further than just to the bottom of the screen. What I mean by this is rather than have the bottom of the page you are writing on stay at the bottom of the screen, it would be great if you could actually scroll the page up so the bottom of the page you are writing on is actually half way up the screen so you can still rest your hand on the screen when writing. When you have to rest your hand on the table to write at the bottom of the page, it is uncomfortable and can be difficult to write neat.

Please make the zoom out feature for import pdf, It’s really bother me to read, I like all the features about GN, but no zoom out makes me use notability right now, cause I couldn’t read when the font size too big.....

Search PDF Form Fields
Search will find text on a PDF, but NOT in the form fields of that PDF - though the contents of the form fields is displayed. I work with a lot of fillable PDF's and this is a significant deficiency.

Search for a string within text
I tried searching for (as a specific example) “3919” (without quotes) when looking for a note I had hand written with the text “003919” (again without quotes).
Search didn’t find it until I searched very specifically for “0039” (no quotes).
It would be great if you could enable search of a string within words / text.
Incidentally, searching “003919” also gave zero results.

Set default to “Last Page” for importing
I would like to be able to set the default option when importing to GoodNotes to be “Last Page” rather than “After” to prevent accidentally inserting large documents to the middle of other large documents.

Handwritten formula conversion
Make a tool that converts the handwritten mathematical symbols or equations into formatted equations directly into the notebook, just like the "Ink equation" function in microsoft word for inserting formula.

Apple's PDFKit allows to show two pages of a PDF side by side. PSPDFKIT (which is what Good Notes 5 uses) should support the same option.
I'm currently using the iPad 12.9 and typically have it in the horizontal orientation and there's soooo much wasted screen real estate. When making notes on a book or a large report, it's helpful to have more context on what is before and after the content. PDF books are often typeset such that content being read on a left hand side has images or quotes from the right hand side, and context is currently lost in a single page.
GoodNotes 5 has replaced my notetaking + planning + ebook reader applications. This is the one feature will push it over the top in my humble opinion.
Although GoodNotes 5 currently supports the iOS built in split view, it's not as nice when trying to view pairs of pages from the same book in split view. Moving forward requires two swipes on both the left window and the right window. Additionally, it limits use of other applications for split view.
Ideally, I'd like to be reading a book or report in split view, and making notes along that way. Occasionally, I'll need to check YouTube or Wikipedia or a Thesaurus for additional information, which can allow the GoodNotes 5 split to change back to single page. Once I'm done with the split, I can close it to return back to a twoUp view.
