Notebook organization
It would be a great addition to the app if you, make it to where you press something to get to notebooks or when you have just a quick note you press something to get there. Where the notebooks are is not organized or appealing. I feel you should press something to get there but opening right up to it. it feels cluttered and not organized.

Ruler to indicate size of page
There is currently no indication of the size of the page I’m editing, which makes it very difficult to change the template without going through an annoying trial-and-error dance to make the page size match the existing page size.
I’d really like a switch to show ruler markings on the edges of the page to check the page size and, if possible, an indication of the current page size (letter, A6, etc)

Ich möchte gern jederzeit angezeigt bekommen wann und möglicherweise auch wo, ich die Notiz erstellt habe. Ich möchte ausserdem Dokumente suchen bzw. finden, die ich an einem bestimmten Tag und/oder Ort erstellt habe. Ausserdem fehlt mir ein Lineal mit Massangaben um Grundrisse zu zeichnen.27 votes -
Edit page continue to next page and not just stay
My mani issue is when I edit a page, type can go all done to page button without continuing to a new page, sometimes i cant see my text at the button of the page till I select all and move it around ! It should reach page button and stop to continue to a new page

For projector mode, the old display button should come back.
Instead of the new mirror mode and presentation mode, the old display button should come back since multiple apps can be used w/o the screen shifting and allows more control during presentations. I lecture in front of 1~200 people and use a mixture of apps.
I need the control so that I can seamlessly zoom in and out on key info without making people feel sick and use apps without having to readjust the screen all the time. Afterall, this is an app for the ipad.
Everything is done thru finger input and pen so the current mode is not…

Automatic paper feed
When the current page is not blank, a blank page is automatically added, no more pulling to add pages.

Selective sketch-to-text conversion
The lasso tool grabs either the picture or the converted text, unpredictably. Using it with other apps (Keynote presentation), the sketch is what I want, the text is unusable. A choice from the right click would be a smart solution, “copy, graphic” or “copy, converted”

Pulldown screen
I am using GoodNotes as a teacher to present my lessons. It would be great to have a ‘screen’ that could cover what I have written on a goodnotes page that I could gradually pull down to present the page content as I talk (like smart notes software). Also it would be wonderful if I could I insert live links into my goodnotes page so I can click on it to show a video or math application like Desmos. Are either of these features in the works?

Improve handwriting tracking, no modifying
The handwriting seems like neat, like auto modifying?I’d like a more smooth handwriting style, I write, and GoodNotes just show what I write, instead of modifying it at first.

Scaling and rotating selections are very useful for making diagrams, but reflections and scaling only horizontally (or only vertically) are missing.

Linking a recording to a word
As someone who uses GoodNotes for studying Japanese, I would love to be able to attach a recording to a typed or handwritten word with the pronunciation of that word. So when I click it I can hear the correct pronunciation.
I think it would be extremely helpful for those of us using GoodNotes for languages.13 votes -
Finger-activation of hyperlinks in edit mode
Currently, hyperlinks in pdf files seem to be activated only in view mode.

Lag while using Apple Pencil and the eraser tool
There is a noticeable lag while using the Apple Pencil as well as the rubber feature of this application. Goodnotes 5 is one of the innovative apps to bring some cool new features and customizable options, but this lag annoys me the most. The video is also posted where I show how the rubber tool lags.

Quick Toggle to Switch on and off Auto Deselect tools
Implement the ability to have the option to single tap a tool to enable auto deselect and long press to disable auto deselect. The user can have the option to enable auto deselect as is now. If it’s enabled, then a single tap of that tool will activate the tool with auto deselect but a long press would activate the tool and temporarily disable the auto deselect until the user switches back to another tool. Going into sub menus to enable and disable this feature each time is time consuming and distracting.

Auto-deselect highlighter please
Like for the eraser, please add the option to deselect highlighter. The main purpose of this app is for annotating with pen, not simply highlighting. Like the eraser, it’s frustrating having to tap the pen every time I finished highlighting.
Like for reading a long book, after highlighting a good quote I want to be able to go back and annotate straight away.
This small addition would be very helpful.
