PDF Overlay with Transparency
Please add a way to overlay two PDF sheets for comparison/mapping.
By default PDF backgrounds are clear - can we get a way to overlay the line information from one PDF sheet on to another? This would be extremely useful for architects, engineers, contractors, fabricators, etc.
For example, in Bluebeam I can take a snapshot anywhere in a PDF and paste it on to another sheet with no white background.
One way to accomplish this would be with a layer system. Another would be with the option to do an overlay sheet on top of another sheet, with the upper sheet having some adjustable opacity.

Pencil case; easily accessible pens of varying type, colour, thickness
I’d like to have a bar containing my pens where I can customised the colours, type, thickness so that I don’t always have to go back and forth to change the properties. This would indeed increase my productivity while writing a colourful note

Add option to expand pages to the side, in the middle or to the top, as where space is needed.
When importing pages, you often don't have the writing space you need. Adding an option to cut a page in 2 and expand the writing space that way, or expand a page with paper to the side would be great to solve this problem

Taging
Hy guys
It‘s actually not a feature, but a little detail that was bothering me...
Every time I tag an important page and skip to the next page using my Apple-Keyboard, the tag continues for all the following pages. Only by swiping with my fingers the tag remains on the important page.
Could you do something about that?Thanks a lot ;)

Streamline Option for the Drawing Tools
Add a streamline option for the pen/pencil/marker tools similar to the streamline option in Procreate. That way, those who write in cursive won't have as much trouble with shakiness & therefore there wouldn't be any "jerky" lettering.

Deleting Text boxes
Have a small “x” Icon for deleting text boxes just like you have for images!!! I usually type a lot in textbooks, and I find it very hard to delete them!

A mode for lasso tool where it selects only completely enclosed objects
The lasso tool should have a mode (switch?) where it only selects objects that are completely enclosed by the lasso area, not anything that intersects with the lasso area. This is very useful for selecting things in complex drawings.

Make dark paper template blacker
The current dark paper template is actually a grey, which makes it harder to read when you're writing with light colours. It would be a lot more legible if the grey were a darker black.

Insert flexible Study note over document
Insert horizontal and vertical extra paper note for dropping note down on top of your document.

Export all writing as text
I would like to convert an entire note to plain text (including all pages) with one export/convert/copy operation and not have to lasso select each page one-at-a-time.

Option to Hide Nav Bar
Just as you can select the pen up option, you should be able to hide the nav bar while keeping the pen toolbar.

Creating Templates
Your support tools for creating new templates is poor at best. The link to the YouTube video is deleted. The most recent info is 2 yers old!?
I just want the simple answer to create my key tasks at the top of the page and daily notes below without buying templates on 3rd party sites. You seem to support the 3rd party eco system over providing SIMPLE instructions for users to for their own.9 votes -
Add "back side" of a note page
I am a undergraduate student and I always use GoodNotes for notes during the class. I just import all PPT I have and sometimes find there do not have enough space while the whole PPT have my instructors’ notes. And If I just add another page to write, the information and the whole PPT will be much more messy. I just cannot find the important points from my professor and my own by add like 10 pages own notes with 3~50 pages of PPT. Add a "semi-hidden" tab, it will be very helpful to add my own notes without destroying the integrity of the original PPT. I drew a simple picture to show my ideas. There is enough space on the iPad to watch PPT and take notes at the same time, and then when not needed, adjust the size or hide one of them. Even though GoodNotes can now be used on two screens at the same time, I still hope that the course notes can be implemented in the same file.

I want to make a digital scrapbook and would love to see some glitter and metallic pens. Microsofts One Note has them but your app is better.

Change Text Color
I would like to be able to select an area of a page and have every non-white pixel change to a color of choice. This would let me change the color of handwritten text.

The lasso tool doesn’t work on imported image.
It would be better if I could select any part of an image (imported to GoodNotes 5 ) to cut/ copy it so that I could delete/paste it anywhere else on the page/pages. I am attaching a video to convey my point. If this feature is available please let me know how to use it.

Zoom Box tools as in GoodNotes 4
It was very convenient to use the tools (pen color, eraser, one step back...) in the zoom-in box, but it is gone in GoodNotes 5. Please bring them back, they are critical in writing efficiency! Thanks!

Fast select and copy/paste
I believe work flow would be improved if select and copy is quicker.
Lets say, leave one finger on the screen and select would copy, doing that with two fingers on the screen would past it.
The time holding the finger down sometimes makes quicker write the sentence again instead of copying it.
