Bugfix: Swipe to close on iPad scrolls the document
It is really annoying, that whenever i swipe up on my iPad to close Goodnotes, it also scrolls up the document. Please improve your touch detection to dismiss such swipes, so the document stays in place.
You see this issues in the attached screen recording, where the "I am here" text will scroll up when the dock gets shown through the swipe up from the very bottom of the screen action. It will also scroll the document further, when i move my finger further up to reveal all application windows.1 vote -
Paint Bucket Color Fill
Similar to MS paint it would be useful to have a paint bucket tool that would fill a color inside the lines of a shape. Most of the functionality is already added with the shape fill color option, but for drawings that dont use it there is no efficient way to fill the space.

Attach audio to a word or phrase in a note (voice recording OR imported audio file)
Idea Description:
It would be incredibly useful to be able to attach audio to a specific word or phrase within a note. This audio could be:
• either a voice recording made directly within the app,
• or an imported audio file (such as a .mp3, .m4a, .wav, etc.) — not just a voice recording.When the user taps or clicks on the word, the corresponding audio should play automatically.
Why it matters:

Push Notifications for Edits in Shared Documents
Hi GoodNotes team,
I’d like to request a feature that allows users to receive push notifications when a collaborator edits a shared document—whether by adding, deleting, or changing content.
This would be incredibly helpful for those of us who use GoodNotes for group study, work collaboration, or project planning. At the moment, it’s difficult to know when changes have been made unless we manually check the document. A notification feature would make collaboration much more efficient and responsive.

Organising is worst
Hello your is very good but it lacks organising very much and I have kept images from the Notability
It’s very frustrating how i cannot find the PDF

Study set
I would love for the old function to classify a flashcard into different categories once I’ve tested myself (easy, difficult, very difficult, didn’t get it). Goodnotes used to have this option but it doesn’t have it anymore. I want a better spaced repetition algorithm for the study set.

allow goodnotes cloud for early adopters.
It is unfair that new users can get Goodnotes Cloud, but those of us who started paying for Goodnotes subscription for the express purpose of syncing between devices can't have it if we've signed up in the past for icloud sync. I feel I'm being punished for taking you at your word that it was already available.

Suggestion for improvement
Hi everyone,
I have a suggestion for improving Goodnotes, specifically regarding the zoom tool. Many users rely on this tool because it allows for more precise and therefore cleaner handwriting. However, the issue is that the resulting text often ends up being way too small.
It would be great if as shown in the image there were an option to set the final text size before writing, so you can see how large the text will actually appear on the page, even while using the zoom tool.

The three-button icon (Select View Mode) positioning in the middle at the top constantly gets in the way when I try to select the center tab of a notebook. Could this icon be placed at the bottom instead, so it doesn't interfere with notebook selection?

Group and Ungroup items
Please give the option for users to group and ungroup items. "Send to back" and "Send to front" is not enough. For example, a user pastes an image with text. User highlights text on image. If the image is selected (even in error), the highlight is moved to back and no longer visible. I can select "Send to front" but it is no longer aligned with the text on the image.

Different scales for ruler
I am an Architect and often use Good Notes for plans with different scales.

Ability to Move a Note from a folder to other folder/having more favorite color
Hi.
Everything about this app is amazing.
Inside the app: We cannot move a notes in a created folder, to other folders. That is very inconvenient
While using the app: If we could add more favorite color, like 6-10, instead of a limitation of 3, it would makes everything much easier

Highlight Tool in Typing Mode
The new typing mode in GN6 has significantly enhanced its versatility. It would be even better if a highlight tool could be added to the typing mode, allowing users to directly apply highlights to text while typing.

Show comments under thumbnails + Highlight text and add comment
Right now it is really hard to resolve comments in large documents with few comments, because the visibility of the small comment icon is quite low. (Sticky notes are not great since they block whats behind them). It would be a small but really appreciated feature to indicate on the thumbnail preview, that there are comments made to a document page (similar to the indicator for pages added to favorites. It would also be a great improvement to the usefulness of comments, to add an option to comment selected handwriting or text, and slightly highlight it for example.

Toolbar location on macOS
Please make it possible to move the toolbar location to the bottom of the screen in macOS. The feature is available on iPad but not on the macOS version. Also consider making it possible to have the tabs on the bottom and the toolbar on either the left or right side. As a teacher using GoodNotes for instruction in my classroom, having these options will make GoodNotes easier for me to use during lessons.
