1. Camera shortcut

   Since latest update the Camera shortcut is hidden in the IMAGE-section and not as a Stand-Alone Icon between IMAGE and TEXT.

   We need to add a lot of photos to the Documents and now the workflow gets really disturbed as you always have to tap twice instead of 1.

   please simply bring the Icon Shortcut back, thanks in advance!!!

3. Text recognition for images and imported PDFs

   I think the app is great, but a feature that is missing is the ability to recognize txt on imported images and hand written PDFs.
   It would be great is you just added that feature like in ZoomNotes.

   Another thing that I find necessary is a feature to cover text on images (for example when importing screenshots to make Flashcards and you want to cover the text on the image). This would be really useful after having OCR on images.

   Another issue that I have is when drawing shapes. Although the option to color fill is enabled, this “fill” is very translucent and there’s no way to change its opacity. Also, after adding the shape and resizing it, the fill remains on its original size and position.

   Please, tell me if you are planning to solve any of these issues in the near future.

   Ich nutze GoodNotes nun seit einiger Zeit und bin sehr davon angetan. Ich habe davor ein Jahr lang Notability getestet und muss sagen, dass das einzige was mich bei GoodNotes hält die Schnelltaste für Formen ist. Um Notability eine Nasenlänge voraus zu sein wären meiner Meinung nach folgende Verbesserungen Nötig:

   1. Es sollte möglich sein ausgeschnittene Textstücke,Bilder oder sonstiges von einer Seite auf die Nächste zu verschieben ohne die ausschnitte erst ausschneiden und dann wieder einfügen zu müssen. Wenn man mal schnell eine Seite umsortieren will stört dieser Vorgang den Workflow erheblich.

   2.Wenn man ausschnitte von einem Aufgabenblatt ausschneidet und weiter unten wieder einfügt, sollte es möglich sein erneut einen Ausschnitt vom diesem Ausschnitt auszuschneiden und wieder einzufügen. Bisher muss man dann immer wieder zum Ursprünglichen Aufgabenblatt am Anfang der Datei was ebenfalls den Workflow stört und im Hinblick auf Mathematische Aufgaben einem auch gerne mal die Übersicht erschwert.

   Die oben angesprochenen Punkte sind meiner Meinung nach die wichtigsten Änderungen die kommen müssen. Als Spielerei wären noch Strichlinien hilfreich und wenn man beim ausschneiden eines Ausschnitts nicht noch durch das untermenü müsste, sondern es wie beim ausschneiden von Text direkt im Zeilenmenü die Auswahl gäbe.

   I have been using GoodNotes for some time now and am very fond of it. I tried Notability for a year before that and I have to say that the only thing that keeps me with GoodNotes is the shortcut key for forms. To be a step ahead of Notability, I think the following improvements are needed:

   1. it should be possible to move cut text, images or anything else from one page to the next without having to cut and paste them. If you want to quickly rearrange a page, this process disrupts the workflow significantly.

   2. if you cut a section from a task sheet and paste it further down, it should be possible to cut a section from this section and paste it again. Until now, you always have to go back to the original task sheet at the beginning of the file, which also disrupts the workflow and, with regard to mathematical tasks, also makes it difficult to keep track.

   The points mentioned above are in my opinion the most important changes that need to come. As a gimmick, dash lines would be helpful and if you cut a section would not still have to go through the submenu, but there would be as when cutting text directly in the line menu selection.

5. Quicker Outline Creation

   I love using the existing outline in PDFs, but it's tough work to create one if it isn't already implemented. A great feature would be the possiblity to choose the option "set as outline title" for marked text to quickly greate an outline for a document.

6. A mini notebook in your notebook Or an advanced flashcard ability

   There is an app muse, who to tell you the truth is a bad app but has a very unique feature and that it has infinity amount of flashcards on it that they can become bigger and smaller and you can even add a card inside another

   What am asking for is simple a flashcard that you see its containt and can controle its size that when you want to use you can make it bigger, this flashcard has an infinitesimal size or at least the size of a typical page

   This feature is like a game-changer for most of us

7. customized cursor to show where apple pencil is hovering on surface

   I use the app to teach mathematics and computer science lectures to college students in online mode. One very important feature that is missing at present is that students have to use their attention to determine WHERE on the slide or notebook I am presently writing (i.e. they need to determine where new writing is showing up). Whereas, in a physical classroom, it's easy to see where the professor is and where in the blackboard he/she is writing or modifying a diagram. It would be nice if one could have a big red arrow show up wherever I am writing or annotating, so that students can focus all their attention on the important concepts being covered (and not have to figure out where the new writing is showing up). Currently, this can be done on android tablets such as S6 Lite, where apps such as Pentastic let you choose a custom image (such as a red arrow) for the cursor, and one can then teach using note taking apps (such as Squid). If I am annotating a slide or need to point to something I've written earlier, I don't need to click on an icon to switch on the laser pointer - I only need to hover the S-pen over that writing, and the customized cursor (which also functions as a laser pointer) automatically shows up there. 8. sound of chalk writing on blackboard

   Love the app. I use it to teach computer science and mathematics subjects to college students in online mode. For the math course, at present I start with an empty white background and write on it. I was wondering if it would be possible, using your app, to recreate the experience of teaching on a blackboard by simulating the sound that the chalk makes on the blackboard, so that when I write on a black background template (with white color pen), if I enabled this option, then the students will hear a sound whenever my apple pencil is writing on the surface. That would be cool!

10. High pdf sizes

    Your pdf sizes are too big, when I compare it other pdfs in terms of page numbers. That creates a big problem in iCloud free users and who have limited storage like 32 GB. Also, the program runs sometimes slow in notebooks with many pages.

11. Improved text styling/tool

    I do a lot of handwriting in GoodNotes, but would love to have improved text functionality. The current formatting options (like no bullets or lists, and not being able to type on the full page, having the create multiple text boxes for multiple pages, etc.) are super frustrating. I'd love to have all my notes in one place instead of having to use a different app for typed notes.

12. Further Keyboard Navigation

    It would be tremendous to have the ability to launch the page organizer (with Thumbnails, Favorites, Outlines) via a keyboard shortcut. Furthermore, once in that window, it would be handy to be able to jump between the Thumbnails, Favorites, and Outlines views.

    I use all 3 of those organizational features in different ways within the same notebook, but navigation can get cumbersome. Having these navigational shortcuts would be a game changer.

13. Reminders and calendar support (Apple EventKit)

    I would love to use a Goodnotes' planner, but there is one obstacle in the way for me, since reminders and events in those planners are not recognised by operating system.
    I would love to have the option to sync those event/reminder information within Calendar and Reminders apps. So when I plan something (maybe within a special text field) into my planner, the event/reminder would be mirrored in those apps.

    It would be even greater if it could go the other way as well - for the Reminders app: check in Reminders app = checks in Goodnotes but I am ready to accept the first stage for now too. 😃

15. Include support for Wacom pens with eraser end.

16. Erasure improvement

    Double-tapping the erasure tool brings up some options. Add an objects switch to allow me to turn that off. This way I can hand-draw a quick chart and begin filling it with text. Now if I need to make changes I can simply turn off objects and not have to worry about erasing the cell borders.

17. Option to hide sticky notes

    I would love to have the possibility to hide or resize sticky notes very small when tapping on them. On á second tap the sticky notes then could get big again.

19. Add a slider for changing the eraser size

    I think there should be more variety allowed when it comes to the eraser size. We shouldn't only have 3 sizes to choose from. I would prefer a slider, like that of the pen and highlighter tools, which allows us to get more specific sizes.

20. pin notes

    Pin notes in a bar like tabs in browser. You won't close them by mistyping.

    I have "theese" notes that I don't need to close like: to-do list or my everyday notebook with some notes. It will be better to have options for pin important notes in the bar
