Revert change for making shapes change to one line style
A recent update made it so that if I draw 2 differently colored lines originating from the same point and then connected them with a 3rd differently colored line it converts the original 2 lines to be that 3rd color. As a math/engineering student this makes it impossible for me to draw things like vectors with 2 different colors because the app will just automatically convert them to the same color. Please revert this change!

Text box tool bar is a terrible idea
The latest update has the text box tools floating on the page when I type. This is a nuisance and is extremely distracting. It makes it impossible to think and write. The previous toolbar system worked just fine. Either revert back to the earlier method or allow the floating toolbar to disappear while typing.
Please fix this pronto! Sometimes change for the change’s sake is just a bad idea. This is one of those times.

Smart PDF Import: Add Margins with Grid Background for Writing
When importing PDFs:
✔ Allow users to choose “Add expandable writing margin”
➡️ Let us set how many cm to add on each side (top, bottom, left, right)
➡️ Let us select a background style (grid, lined, blank) for the expanded area
➡️ Optionally, allow us to choose whether the background layer appears above or below the imported PDF (this could be added later—no rush!)🔥 This would create a perfect page layout with the PDF on one side and structured space to take notes, do calculations, or annotate clearly.

Automatically set Highlight to back layer
I noticed that the recent update allows highlighter and other objects to be manually selected and then “send to back”. I like that this feature allows for highlighter to be positioned behind text, but it would be useful if there was an option to have that automatically done or to have the highlighter tool set to automatically send highlighter to back layer once a line is drawn using it. Adding a toggle on the highlighter menu so users can select to automatically have highlighter “send to back” would be amazing.

Add option to disable page snapping when scrolling to different pages
in Goodnotes 6, I noticed that when I just try to scroll slightly down to the bottom of a page it will auto snap me to the center of the next page, and vice versa when scrolling to the top part of a page. Please add a function to disable this.

Outline improvement
Currently, the whole outline cannot be seen if it is too long. The whole title. should be seen in the outline tab.
Collapsible subtopics should also be added.
There should be a quicker way to input an outline like a shortcut.
There should be an option to see comments in the outline tab.

Enhancement in the layers that are currently under consideration
I have seen many comments about the requests for layers, but none that mentioned exactly the things that I would like to see, so forgive me if this is a duplicate of pieces from a couple of individual ones that I may have missed the wording to:

"Add Margin" Button for writing notes on lecture slides
Allows you to add margins to select pages within your current notebook/file. This will help students who import lecture slides from a professors course page, and then they can "Add Margins" to the slides to provide additional space to take notes instead of having to write cluttered notes directly on the lecture slides. Could have multiple different margin options: increase entire border, or only add extra space above/below, or left/right of the original content.

Add LaTeX Equations in flashcards
I wished I could insert equations into my flashcards in the text part. Just like how I would insert an equation in LaTeX... Since GoodNotes allows to convert handwritten text to LaTeX equations, it would be nice to insert the LaTeX code directly into the flashcard for studying formulae.

Improved AI Math Assistant
It would be great to have an improved AI Math Assistant in GoodNotes 6 that can check every handwritten calculation in every handwritten notepage with handwritten math calculations you write for mistakes. It should be able to verify every equation and calculation and, if you make a mistake, offer a step-by-step solution for correcting it.

Tape that snaps to shape
I love the new tape feature but I have A LOT of content that I need to tape over at a time! I would really love it if we had the option to make a box around what we want to tape and have the shape snap and fill in (like we have for the shape snap feature). My only other option currently is to make the pen as big as possible and color over an entire paragraph at once which has been very time consuming!

Dictionary or Translator Request
For requesting dictionary or translator, other apps such as Book in all iOS can do touch or tap in PDF file so I can read and take note in PDF file that is academic paper for taking some importance note like unknown word's for better understanding when I comeback to read.
I feel a bit sad when my GoodNote cannot do like that. However, I don’t sure it’s hard or not if developer will add dictionary or translator into GoodNote by default.

Integration with GitHub
I would like to suggest integrating GitHub accounts with GoodNotes to enable synchronization between a specific repository and a designated GoodNotes directory (or a virtual directory mimicking the repository). This feature would use the GitHub API to periodically push and pull data, allowing for backup creation and facilitating tracking edits and collaboration. Considering its intended use in university settings, if the API costs become a concern, offering this functionality as part of the GitHub Student Developer Pack could be an option. I appreciate your consideration of this suggestion. Thanks.

More options for learning study stets
Study sets are great and i love this feature very much but i think some additional improvements will make it extremely useful and great.
For example how much I remember the cards, if there is multiple option as in Anki such as easy, good, hard & again rather than know it or not will improve smart learn and add filter cards queue, some cards i forget it at all while others i just forget a little bit of it so the only two option make them equal.Although if there is an option for backward of cards as I accidentally…

Handwriting stabilization
I love everything about goodnotes EXCEPT that you are lacking this very basic feature. I am high functioning ASD (and the stereotypical sloppy handwriting) and have connective tissue disorders that make my hands hard to control on a regular basis. I thrive with visual data and organization and your app truly is THE BEST - but I always discontinue use of this app very quickly due to the absolute chicken scratch it turns my handwriting into. This is a very real accessibility issue that I am disappointed to see overlooked by a company of your size and acclaim.

More customisation for folders
The current colours for folders are extremely limited. I use Goodnotes for many different things, and I am having to repeat folder colours which makes it hard to quickly find things I need. I think it would be useful to rather have a colour wheel or similar option, or even a way to add a photo as the folder cover rather than just a small generic icon which is hard to see.
