When you do this you need to add a filter to remove the sound of the Apple Pencil hitting the display. The hard nib on the Pencil is going to interfere with clean audio recording.

Can't think of a feature that is more important than this. Could be as simple as an audio bar, in-line with other items (text, sketching, pictures) that has some simple controls. I'm only a week into using your GoodNotes on an iPad Pro, and consider this one of two central apps in my workflow. Audio would complete its perfection!

So, so much good about GoodNotes! Using for all my writing needs in-office and out. Audio integrated onto the page would be HUGE, as it could be referenced directly within the page.

Yes absolutely, a voice or a Vedic clip that can be put at any point in the doc. It might kill the storage and the syncing between devices, but then an option sync voice/videos later or at a scheduled time vs realtime could be an option

I'd like to add audio recordings to notes. I teach grade 4 and use good notes exclusively to replace paper in my class. This is a feature that would really help students to explain themselves vocally and visually when doing their assignments.

This is really the only thing stopping GoodNotes from being the unquestioned champion of note-taking apps.

I would love to see voice recording in this app. I have just bought it. It would be helpful if you could have multiple recordings per page and have each one a separate icon so you can place the recordings in different parts of the page

Noteshelf (that is a good app, but not as good for taking handwriting notes) offers this feature as well. Very useful. Would be great to have it with Goodnotes.
