1. Identification Tags for Flashcards

   I love the flashcard feature in Good Notes! But, I have an idea for how to make it more user-friendly. What if you could put 'tags' on certain cards? For example, in my bio flashcards, I would love to tag which chapters the card is from (e.g., "Ch. 1", "Ch. 2", "Ch. 3"). Then when I launch the flashcard feature, I can select which tags I would like to review. If I feel comfortable with the content from chapter 1, I would leave those cards out. You could also tag cards by their level of difficulty, kind of question (true/false, multiple-choice, etc.) and so on. This way I don't have to make a million notebooks with different combinations of flashcards!

2. Add the possibility to edit an existing PDF, instead of edit a copy of it.

   It would be amazing if it was possible to edit an existing PDF. Right not, Goodnotes can't, and the only way to actually have the modified PDF as output, is to manually export all of it.
   Imagine you have a sync folder (maybe with Dropbox, or Syncthings, etc), and you open a PDF (that is inside that sync folder) with Goodnotes. You start to edit the PDF with Goodnotes and everybody that has that sync folder, have the edits updated almost in real time. This is not possible right now, while it is possible in other PDF apps like PDF Expert etc..

3. Export your structured Note’s to PDF‘s

   Please update the feature where you can export your goodnotes 5 book to an PDF and still be able to get the organization done.

   Sadly it is not possible to maintain the right Structure, because when exporting it to an PDF your structure will get reorganize to the date you added each structure. (see my examples in the Pictures)

   Also this feature only works if you export your document as an editable PDF. BUT Sadly then you are also not able to search your hand written text any more, because it does not get recognized.

   So try to implement that hand written feature too to the edible PDF export or make it possible to export your Goodnotes 5 Structure in the right order to the unchangeable PDF export. Because you will be finished with your PDF when you want to export like that.

   But the Structure of documents and also the handwriting recognition is essential to make a useful PDF out of your Document.

   Please update the feature where you can export your goodnotes 5 book to an PDF and still be able to get the organization done.

4. several pages in structure

   It would be convenient to add blocks from several sheets to the structure so that they can then be dragged together inside the document.

5. Improve the highlighter!

   I love using the highlighter option but it’s incredibly dull compared to other notes apps. All the colours need to be more vibrant because I constantly find myself highlighting over the same thing multiple times to get the colour I want to appear. Also please increase the max size of the highlighter feature. Most of the notes I download to the app have text too big for the highlighter and It looks terrible and takes too much time to go over it again and again. Thanks

6. Move further the page in zoom window.

9. invert colours when sharing

   Be able to write and view a note in dark mode however automatically invert to white paper and black/ darker coloured text when exporting to a pdf, sharing the document or printing. Onenote already does this and it is very useful.

11. Attach GoodNotes document to email

    When replying to an e-mail, it's useful to be able to attach a document from GoodNotes. This is different from exporting a GoodNotes document by e-mail from inside GoodNotes, which creates a new e-mail.

    A possible workflow could be: receive an e-mail with a PDF attachment to review -> export the PDF to GoodNotes for signature / annotating -> reply to the e-mail and attach the annotated PDF.

    Currently, it's possible to use Mail.app and GoodNotes in split screen, and drag a GoodNotes document to an e-mail reply. However, that seems to be restricted to Mail.app. Other mail apps don't work.

12. Link and mirror

    I use GoodNotes for my planning and now create my planner in keynotes first so I can link the tabs to the right page. I’ve seen more people suggesting this feature comes in GoodNotes itself too so you don’t need keynotes anymore.

    I want to add something to that suggestion: I would also like to link objects or text boxes so what you write on one place will be mirrored to another place.

    For example; I have a monthly overview but also days and weeks. I have in every day page a square in the same size as in the monthly overview. In that square I write the main activity of the day and now I copy paste it to the monthly overview. I would like to be able to like parts with eachother so what I write or draw in that square in the page of the day, will also appear in on another page. The pencil planner app has this function but creatively that app has less options. So I am still not sure weather I want to use pencil planner, which is more practical or GoodNotes which I can be more creative with. Which is why I’d like to have that function in GoodNotes as well

13. Better formatting of texts

    When formatting text for example by using underline, bold, cursive, the whole text is being formatted with the last effect being used in the text when changing font size. Please change it so that when changing the text size already formatted words are being saved and not applied to the whole text box.

14. Wide /panorama mode in "Take photo" mode

    I'm using Iphone -8 and ipad ,not have wide camera (zoom 0.5X) like Iphone 12.
    Please add more feature in "take photo" mode for keep wide area image.

16. Clean Page Transition WITHOUT any effect + a REAL presentation mode.

    Paging Transition WITHOUT any effect (like one can with PowerPoint or Adobe Acrobat).
    I use GoodNotes in virtual meetings as well in presence ones. The page transition animation are ‘nice at first’ but always distracting, specially in cases of two or more pages that are identical except a few visual clues (like an added box to call attention to a detail)… in those cases a clean, seemless transition, is a MUST.
    I saw many other suggestions of the kind here, all SHUTDOWN by some ‘moderator’ as being a non issue that you can set the presentation mode to always full page (I have tried, to no avail, all three options (annexed pic), none worked as expected, specially in a remote environment, for instance when one is using Microsoft Teams for the meeting and sharing the screen… the others will see what YOU see).

    !! At the end, what is really needed is a REAL PRESENTATION MODE (like one has in PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and so many others) in which the interface vanishes and one can seemless go forwards/backwards without any distraction of any kind so that it can be used in a presence presentation as well in a remote environment (sharing the full screen).

20. Addition of iOS Scrollbar (drag and move scroll bar to a specific location)

    GoodNotes still does not have implemented this great feature that apple introduced with iOS 13. Everywhere I can press long on the scrollbar and just slide it wherever I want. So I can reach the last page of a long book pretty fast. In GoodNotes I still need to scroll page by page until I am at the last page. This is pretty annoying. Even Notability has this feature implemented.
    You can see three photos attached, one while using Goodnotes (no thick scrollbar), one while using Notability (thick scrollbar) and one while using Safari (thick scrollbar).

    Please implement this!
