Documents as new tabs
“Open documents as new tabs” option is a great tool but i would preferred that instead of all documents being open as new tabs only documents or notes or pages within a Currently open document would open as new tabs so you could toggle within that folder faster while looking at folders within folders. The way it is now it’s a bit cluttered and confusing because you get confused and don’t know where those tabs belong in just by looking at the titles if that makes any sense, thank you.

different scrolling directions for different notes
It will be great if we can customize different scrolling directions for different documents rather than the same for all documents. Since some documents may have a better view in vertical scrolling some may be more convenient in horizontal scrolling.

Can you offer free service for my AP students for 30 days while we are shutdown?
My students are preparing for the AP Language and Composition exam from home now. Annotating texts and sources is critical to this. I can’t ask them to pay for the service but this app could save us all! Please help.

Resizing Based on Corners, Not Center
Suggestion: Have the opposite corner as the pivot point when adjusting the size (how all document editors have it)
Currently: Center of the image as the pivot point.
Reasoning: To adjust images to the same size as the one next to it without having to constantly reposition the item

Show excerpts for each instance of a search term found on one page
Currently, when you search for a term, the search drop down menu will only show an excerpt of the first instance that the search term is found on a page. Often times, however, a term appears more than once per page. It would be beneficial to see an excerpt of each instance the search term is found.
For example, if the term "Australia" is found 4 times on page 53, there should be 4 excerpts of page 53 showing each instance where the term Australia appears.

Text format is not compatible！
When I copy a word from another app and want to paste it to GoodNotes, the text format I setted doesn’t work,it will go back to the format of the original app. That’s really annoying

Change the colour of the Lines from the squared Paper
It would be Fine, when it‘s possible to change the colour from the grey Lines in the squared paper in Blue.

It would be nice to be able to search for his notes. What has been highlighted or what has been drawn, or written by hand, because global research does not allow it. And / Or have a list of annotations that we made and in which we could do research

Screen lock out for Exams
For my exams, I have to print out all of my notes because I have access to all of the other apps on my iPad. It would be great if from the app, there was a way to have a professor set a password and time limit to lock me out of the rest of the iPad and prevent me from closing good notes so I could use this during an exam. Then, when you are done with the exam or the timer expires, the lock will end and you can then close the good notes app and use the…

Forms Collection
During my studies i use GoodNotes 5 every day and i love it.
But in some lectures we uses some symbols and characters often. And therefor is my idea.
Is there a possibility to creat an own library for often uses symbols?
That i only have to draw them once and save them in „my own symbols library“?
For example the summation sign (∑), or the drawing of electrical schematics with resistors, capacitors etc.4 votes -

Hy guys
It‘s actually not a feature, but a little detail that was bothering me...
Every time I tag an important page and skip to the next page using my Apple-Keyboard, the tag continues for all the following pages. Only by swiping with my fingers the tag remains on the important page.
Could you do something about that?Thanks a lot ;)

Split goodnotes screen horizontally
Scientific articles come with references at the end. Looking simultaneously at the end of the document while reading the content would be helpful. Hence being able to split the screen horizontally (not just vertically) would be nice!

insert Options
I would have Intelligent Inserting Options:
- Inserting something you copied from above I wish to be able to align the Thing I copied from above with those things. To be able to achieve that I would show up a dotted line downward or if I insert it right to the copied one to have a dotted light horizontally to align all the things. Better Lasso Tool
For the lasso tool. The blank space where the colour and size selection is should be toggles for the lasso tool. Like if I want to lasso just the handwriting and not the image/highlights or if I don't want to move textboxes. This would be really useful when adding side notes to annotations
