Heat
Hi there. I have been using the goodnote 6 for a year and since then i havent been facing issues nor errors. I was on holiday for a month and i didnt use the app and after a month i updated to the latest version through app store and now i face heating and battery drainage problems. My ipad pro 2022 gets very hot after approximately 10 mins using idly. There is no such problem with my MBP neither iphone. It is only the ipad problem. Please fix this ASAP

writing experience between current page to next
When writing continues from the current page to the next, the next page should be automatically added, and the handwriting should seamlessly extend to the following page rather than being "cut off" or "eaten" by it. (Similar to the writing experience in Notability, which handles this particularly well.)

keyboard shortcut for laser pointer
There should be a keyboard shortcut for the Laser Pointer tool in GoodNotes. There are other keyboard shortcuts for pen, highlighter,,. but why is the Laser Pointer the only one without it?" Please add one as soon as possible.

sync with windows
i have a windows pc 2-1 so i sometimes write my note on it and i really want to sync with my ipad or my iphone, it’s really annoying to not even be able to access on the notes i took on my pc from my iphone or ipad

Timestamp Linking Between Voice Recordings and Notes
Hi Goodnotes team,
I have another feature suggestion that could greatly enhance the experience of using audio recordings within notebooks.
Currently, when we start a voice recording and take notes by hand or typing during the recording, there’s no way to later connect specific notes to the exact moment they were written.
My suggestion: it would be incredibly useful if, after saving the recording, I could tap on a word or note I wrote during the session, and the audio would jump directly to the exact minute and second when that note was taken.
This feature would be a game-changer…

Feature Suggestion – Adapting PDF Imports to Notebook Format in Goodnotes

I’d like to share a recurring issue I’ve been experiencing, along with a suggestion that could significantly improve the user experience.
I usually work with notebooks in vertical (portrait) format, which fits best with my study and workflow preferences. However, when I import a PDF created in PowerPoint (which typically has a horizontal/landscape layout), Goodnotes automatically changes the entire notebook’s format to horizontal, while still keeping the original vertical page size centered on the screen. Shift everything down to add some blank space
I would love a way to shift everything below a certain point down. Right now, I have to do a thousand lassos, or just erase and rewrite with the extra stuff in super tiny handwriting.

Support for searching the contents of sticker memo

Quick note
Allow the user to specify a default notebook for quick notes. If not specified, use a system default notebook. Never close an open notebook when starting a new quick note (open the specified default notebook or the system default notebook in a new tab if they are not already open)

On April 4, 2025, a bug about drawing.
Above the inserted image, draw "lines, circles, polygons, etc.", click to select "lines, circles, polygons, etc." again, the selected "lines, circles, polygons, etc." will disappear and cannot be selected again. Only after exiting and re-entering will they reappear.

flashcard inside document creation/modification
Do you think possible to add new feature to create "flashCard on the fly" inside document creation ?
My idea is to have new tool/feature to convert part of document to become flash card attached to document.
With this, no need to switch between document and flash card area.

Make every online
I am using 64gb ipad and i have problems with storage. So can you make all the files in goodnotes online and using the internet to edit and let user control which note can be used offline like google drive. I have slides which is easily used with the Internet and some books is too heavy so i want to download it and use offline

On the Latest Features in Goodnotes 6
I was really excited about the sticky notes feature at first. After the rocky launch and the subsequent patch that supposedly fixed things, I ultimately ended up moving the sticky notes icon to the hidden section of my toolbar—never to be used again (ironically, toolbar customization is probably the most useful feature for me, LOL). Experience tunnel rush, where neon-lit tunnels twist and turn as you race through a kaleidoscope of obstacles, blending stunning visuals with heart-pounding action.

I took notes after importing the PDF, and then I modified the original PDF. How can I re-import the PDF without losing the existing notes?

Bookmark
Bookmarks in shared notebooks don’t sync for other users. I add bookmarks, but my students can’t see them. It would be great if bookmarks could sync across devices. Thank you!

Selectively Synch notebooks to our device like dropbox
Goodnotes takes up a TON of space on my phone - so much, that had to delete it in order to update my ios
I don't need access to most of my notes all the time - it would be great if we were able to selectively synch specific notebooks or folders to be on our physical devices while the rest stay in the cloud. At present our only option is to export notebooks as goodnotes files or pdfs, save them somewhere else and delete them from the app.
For example there's only one notebook I'd like to have access…
