  1. Math Assist for Whiteboards

    Hey so as a computer engineer student i love the whiteboards tool as it feels like writing on a piece of paper and is good for solving problems. I see that Math Assist works on regular notes, but when I try it on the whiteboard, it doesn't work. So I feel like math assist on there would be great, especially for quick problems.

    I can’t write during playing the audio recorded. Every time I try to, it will restart. That’s so annoying. I have to use my phone to listen to the audio instead :( Please fix this

  3. Hover distortion

    When hover option is enabled for Apple Pencil Pro there is some distortion on handwriting. It seems to be a software issue. I haven’t used the hover feature for years because of this. Could it be fixed?

    I am having trouble using the Split View feature in GoodNotes after the latest update on my iPad. I used to be able to open two documents or folders side by side for easy reading and writing at the same time, but I am no longer able to do this.

    Could you please provide me with detailed instructions on how to use the Split View in GoodNotes with the most recent iPadOS update?

    Shortcut for internal link on that VERY page. Like cmd+shift+L.

    Plus, why does my links ALWAYS go to the next page? If I'm linking on page 10, I want the PAGE TEN linked, NOT THE ELEVEN. Why can't we just customize the settings of internal links AND have a shortcut?

  6. Audio recording summary bug

    This keeps popping up and now I can’t use this audio file like I can’t even access the whole playback bar. I had clicked summarize and then this happened. There should be an option to revert back to pop up window like before.

  7. status bar

    Your app is not properly compatible with iPadOS 26.3, which was released on February 11, 2026. There is a serious issue with the status bar hiding option. It is not working correctly at all. Even after enabling the option, the status bar does not hide automatically and sometimes overlaps with the app interface. Please look into this issue and fix it as soon as possible.

  8. [Outline] Reduce PDF Clutter and Correct Sorting Logic

    The outlines tab is not as helpful as it once was. Whenever I use an imported pdf (usually converted from a powerpoint or word document), the outline is filled with text from every single slide, making it hard to find ANYTHING. I can unselect 'Show pdf outline', but the default view is the cluttered, unhelpful mess.

    Then, when I add my own outlines, they are in haphazard order. Please see the attached images. I have created these outlines in page order, but they seem to appear in a random order. Why??!

    Thank you for reporting this and for the detailed explanation!

    1 — PDF outline showing all slides

    It looks like this is related to how the original PDF was created. Some PDFs include metadata where every slide is set as an outline item, and when imported, we display that exact structure.

    If you turn off “Show PDF Outline”, the extra outline items won’t be visible.

    Currently, this setting applies per document, so you would need to disable it each time you import a new PDF. However, we’re considering improvements so that your preference could apply to future imports automatically.

    2 — Outline order issue

    We weren’t able to reproduce the issue on our side. When outlines are created within Goodnotes, they are automatically ordered by page. The order may change only if:

    • The imported PDF already has a custom outline order, or
    • The outlines were manually rearranged…

  10. New Document Import Screen

    The new document import screen, such as when importing from safari, automatically pulls up the keyboard. It’s really annoying when you don’t need the keyboard to find the right folder.

    Just destroyed another ******* document because of the lame as **** tap to duplicate feature. Make a way to turn this ******* destroyer of note of for christs sake.

  13. Sync with Windows False Advertising

    I recently switched to Goodnotes. When looking at the plans on my iPad, I saw that syncing with Windows was listed as a feature for the Essential plan. This was a large part of why I decided to purchase a plan. After purchasing and using the app for a few days, I tried to access my notes on the Windows app, only to find that I do not have access to this feature.   14. SO MUCH APPLE PENCIL LATENCY

    GN is still de app with the most latency. Is really tiring to have to write so much and it being so slow because of its latency compared to other apps. I have all my notes and dont want to switch, please make it better.

    This app should be the best experience, but freenotes and notability are so much better to write in, and its sad that while this is happening, the only focus of improvement is AI.

  17. make it work

    please just make it work. After the newest Update the App is unusable for any kind of serious work like School or Work. We dont need any fancy tools or quirky features. We just want a working Plattform to get things done. Maybe focus on that, before you start adding more buggy tools.

  18. BUG PÁGINA

    I've been having problems with the app for a few days now. What happens is that every time I switch back to an open tab (for example, using two or more tabs at the same time), it keeps scrolling to the top of the page, and if I don't change it and switch tabs again, it keeps scrolling to previous pages. This error is very annoying because it completely disrupts my study rhythm.

  20. Latest update forced me to go back to Goodnotes 5

    The new Oct 2025 update makes it impossible to use Goodnotes as I used to. The grouping of tools doubles or triples my clicks, the default lasso break the writing flow and I can't draw straight lines without a ruler anymore.
    I am going back to Goodnotes 5. This update makes using the app very frustrating.
