  1. I kindof do this by taking screenshots of my calendar and importing into goodnotes, but it would be so much better if the events were automatically updated. Planner pages could be daily or weekly.

Existing planner apps don't allow the handwriting, which makes them not at all like a real planner.

  2. We really need to provide an online image feature similar to the one shown in the picture. It needs to be like a GIF, and it's very much needed.

  3. I am a user who subscribed to the Goodnotes Essential plan a few days ago. I was looking into why my Goodnotes library won't sync between Windows and iOS, and I found the following text:

'If you purchased this plan before September 23, 2025, you are eligible for Goodnotes Cloud. If you purchased this plan after September 23, 2025, you will need to upgrade to the Goodnotes Pro plan to use Goodnotes Cloud.'

When will cross-platform sync be supported for the Essential plan? I subscribed to this plan because the pricing clearly indicated that the Essential plan also supports cross-platform…

  4. I tried the new timer tool and I like that I can see the time passing at the top but it doesn’t make any sound when the timer ends. I think it shows a message at the top but if I’m involved in different apps or in books and I’m not looking I miss it.

The timer should make a sound, an alert that tells me time is up.

  5. Could Goodnotes use the free LAMY iPadOS SDK framework to support all LAMY safari note+ features?

Lamy is a well-known pen company that recently released an iOS-compatible digital writing stylus, the safari note+, named in part after its iconic fountain pen of the same shape. This stylus features two assignable buttons in addition to pressure sensitivity, palm rejection etc. on apps that support it. Goodnotes does not support those features currently.

Under a list of recommended apps (Goodnotes included) LAMY calls out that other app's developers could support the safari note+'s features using the free-of-charge LAMY iPadOS SDK framework. Given…

  6. In the typing mode, it would be convenient to be able to manually change the font and font size, instead of using the "Header 1, Header 2,...etc.," options like how it is for the text box option in the writing mode.

  7. I recently switched from Notability to Goodnotes, I enjoy this app but I found the centering tool to be very helpful on Notability. I like my notes to be as clean as possible so I’d greatly appreciate it if some type of action was to be done for this to happen!

  8. Support Icelandic as recognition language so you can convert handwriting to text and write in Icelandic. It would also be great to be able to check the spelling when writing in Icelandic.

  10. Hi, I love the new feature and I'm tankful for the GoodNotes team for working so hard to bring so many useful features to the app to help us study. I would have one request and that is to be able to move cards from one study sets to another. That would be tremendously useful.

  11. Using study sets is great but it would be even better if you could browse your study set cards using the sidebar or page grid view that way you don't have to scroll back individually among the cards to make a edit to card 2 if the card deck has a lot of cards (i.e. 300+).

Also being able to mark a card for editing in practice mode, or having an edit button within practice mode that brings you directly to that card to edit.

  12. It would become much easier to create neat handwriting and notes that are functional and pleasing to look at. A feature in which you can adjust the stabilisation to your preferences and needs (similar to what Procreate offers) would be highly appreciated and helpful, especially to those who struggle with stable handwriting for medical reasons.

  13. It would be great to be able to export study sets and/or flashcards into a printable form that would be the size of a notecard, to be folded over and made into a physical card.

  14. After the latest update which is the addition of voice recording into the toolbar, the brace cursor disappeared. I think the toolbar customization feature should be offered because the sidebar for the pages does not work effectively, especially for large pdf(s) (for ex. while I am looking at page 123 the sidebar stays at page 4). Thus, adding a brace for any page becomes frustrating.

  15. I take my notes on my IPad, but study on my Windows PC. Everytime I‘m forced to convert my notes to PDF and upload them to a cloud to be able to download and view them on the Windows PC. It‘d be amazing to have an application for Windows to sync, view and maybe edit my notes there.
If it‘s not possible to create an application for Windows, could you develop an online app where I can view my notes, that are taken with the IPad, on my Windows PC?
Maybe based on the example of OneNote

  16. Use shape recognition to snap to mathematical shapes like summation ∑ or gradient or even Greek letters. To clarify, not to convert to text, but to keep as writing when writing equations by hand.

  18. It would be great if you could design your own font (create every single letter by yourself), and then have your fast (bad looking) handwriting converted into your carefully designed letters. That way it would guarantee beautiful handwriting even tough you are in a hurry.

  19. Often the auto-sync across device is slow and bad and I am forced to use the computer only because what I just typed on the Mac Goodnotes don't appear on the iPad version until a long while later. Should give a manual synchronisation option (like anki).

  20. Good notes is one of the most frequently used app in my medicine department for taking notes etc. but tool bar on good notes is very large & space consuming , If good notes team make this tool bar smaller less space consuming it will improve writing experience and give more room for writing things
