1. Shape stencil

   I think it would be nice to be able to add shapes. Especially being a college student, it’s hard to make the shapes all perfect especially with classes like organic. Or even a special area that is dedicated to various organic chemistry/math/science features (ie cyclohexane, benzene ring, wedges, dashes)

2. make the app available on other devices.

   I am getting a touchscreen Chromebook but since this app isn't available on the Chrome Web Store, I won't be able to use it. Having Goodnotes on my other devices would be extremely helpful because I take my laptop to school and use it for all of my assignments.

4. European cloud services

   Please add the possibility to synchronize the documents also with other clouds. In Europe we are forced to store our data on European Servers. So please add some European cloud services. My personal wish would be the MagentaCloud from Deutsche Telekom.
   Another nice Feature would be the synchronisation with private cloud services, e.g. the clouds of the universities.

5. Point to point line drawing mode

   I would like to be able to draw a series of precise, connected, straight lines segments by tapping a start point then having each subsequent tap define the end point of the next segment.

   It would also be nice to have an option to make the end points snap to a grid.

6. Single finger swipe feature is great, please add same functionality with eraser and lasso tools

   I love the new single finger swipe feature with Apple Pencil. It would be much improved if you could add the same functionality/behavior with eraser and lasso tools. With eraser or lasso tool selected, single finger swipe actually erases/selects instead of scrolling to new page. I am accustomed to using the Apple Pencil to erase or select with the lasso tool, and it would be more intuitive to allow the same single finger swipe behavior just as it does with pen/highlighter tool selected.

7. Ability to view PDF annotations from other PDF software when imported into GoodNotes

   Sometimes you highlight or add comments to a PDF using Preview or Adobe Reader on a computer. You then want to use GoodNotes to take additional notes; however, the previous annotations do not appear. This would be extremely helpful when taking notes.

8. GoodNotes 6 did this better. Bring those text features back.

   I’m glad to see that some parts of the app have improved with the latest update. However, the text editing experience is still much less convenient compared to GoodNotes 6.

   Why did you add the unnecessary “Modern, Classic, Technical” text panel in the text box? Please replace it with the “Recently Used Fonts” feature like in GoodNotes 6. Many users frequently switch between multiple fonts, so removing that feature truly makes no sense.

   Also, I really hope you bring back the option to keep the font, size, and text settings fixed at the top like in GoodNotes 6. Something that used to take one tap now requires two or three taps — and it feels like a step backward rather than an improvement.

   I appreciate the efforts being made, but I sincerely hope the next update will further improve the text experience and usability.

9. New version is so much worse

   Now its nearly unusable,I can’t edit a type-in document,It won’t let me change the colors or edit the title type,it is not comfortable to find the type-in part either.It just got so much worse,I’m close to switching to another note taking app.Please fix these and let us get back the previus version !

10. Let us record normally without requiring “record and summarize”

    Can’t figure out a way to record without the dumb AI features. Unknowingly used all my credits in the span of an hour because I couldn’t just record audio and it forced me to do the ai summarize too. So annoying

    Goodnotes’ storage architecture is fundamentally broken. My actual library size is ~6 GB, yet the app is bloated to 27 GB on-device. This clearly indicates severe issues with cache invalidation, temporary file persistence, and orphaned/ghost data retention.

    Instead of performing routine garbage collection and data compaction, Goodnotes seems to endlessly accumulate redundant assets (thumbnails, partial syncs, stale caches).     I'm a big user of goodnotes, I've been taking notes with him since 4 years ago, it's a very good software to use, as you know, apple recently released ipad air 6 (13inch), I bought him and upgraded goodnotes 6 on this new ipad.
    I realized that from my previous device using goodnotes 5 there was no heating condition.
    But after about 20 minutes of writing on top of the new ipad, my ipad has been heating up really bad.

    I like Goodnotes very much, but I miss some features for my workflow as
    architect. I use Goodnotes for measurements on location.

       I would like to have some layers for structuring my drawings

       It would be nice, if we could define line-style and surface-style

19. Bring back separate pen size buttons

    The new feature that condensed the pen sizes into one button is clunky and adds two clicks to the process, and you have to change your grip to tap the screen with your finger to get rid of the drop down menu. Bring back the three buttons for pen sizes, at least in horizontal view.

20. Force Sync Button !!!

    Sometimes the sync is brilliant, but other times I have to close and reopen the app over and over again.

    I hate having to do workarounds when there should be an easy fix. Like, just add a refresh/force sync button !!!!!!!!
