1. Align textboxes

   Be able to choose the presets for the textbox colors
   Arrange like Canva
   -allow grouping textboxes and aligning the centers/to the left/to the right
   be more compatabile with shortcuts like commandA or holding the shift key on the keyboard to select multiple boxes

2. Attach links to images or elements

   Please consider a feature to add URL links to images or elements on notes.

   A link feature is a very good feature for digital notebooks.
   Currently GoodNotes 5 supports link feature only inline text links.

   When we want to link a URL to an image to create a button to jump to a website, paste an image, add an invisible text (whitespaces) onto it. and create a link on it.
   It makes a lot of trouble since invisible text is tough to handle.

   It will be very nice if attaching links directly onto images or elements on page.

4. Search Within a Specific Folder

   Loving the app so far but one thing I've noticed is it can be difficult to find what I am searching for due to the fact that the search covers all notes stored. It would be great to be able to search within a specific folder like we are able to do on our computers' file explorer (finder on Mac).

5. Adding a ruler to GoodNotes 5 (or future versions)

   I've noticed that a lot of people have already asked for this, but those might land on having the need for more information.

   I'd like to see a feature like this added, because the predictions are wrong so often! I pull a line which I want to be straight, may have wiggled slightly and GN5 in some cases recognises it as a curve.

   A ruler in GN5 would also just help you with sketching up stuff real quick, like a sheet or so without having the need to either import your own paper that has this or rely on the prediction system and having to do micro-adjustments all the time.

   It would also just be very useful if you simply work with stuff, where measurements have to be accurate.

   In some ways you can even use the ruler AND the prediction system, an example would be to just draw a few lines which the prediction system had done and later you check with the ruler how long those lines actually are (if necessary)

   Please take this into heavy consideration.

6. Apple Pencil double-tap for Undo

   I think it would be AWESOME if we could use the double-tap feature of the Apple Pencil to be able to undo an action.

   I take a lot of hand notes, and everytime I make a mistake I have to manually hit the back arrow which is very inconvenient, whereas doing it by double-tapping the Apple Pencil would be very time-saving and convenient!

8. Linking to Sections of PDFs, Other Notes, Folders & Bookmarks

   I'd love the ability to hyperlink text or icons within a note to certain sections of a pdf for quick reference.

   For instance, if I am writing a note about a project, I would like the ability to add hyperlinked text or icons, where when pressed, I am taken directly to a specific section of a pdf.

   Of the hundreds of pdfs I have saved in my iphone/ipad, there's ever only about a single page within the pdf that's relevant. If I were able to introduce those pages within Goodreads by hyperlinking text, I'd be able to put into context all those pdfs (including pdf's of websites/article).

   I'd also like the ability to hyperlink text/icons within a note directly to either another note, folder or a specific section within a separate note. This would help me avoid repetition.

   Lastly, I have an extensive folder bookmarks folder structure. It would be helpful to link certain text to my bookmarks manager, specific bookmark folders (to view related content), or specific sections within the links themselves.

   If GoodNotes did all these things, then it will have successfully merged individual notetaking with published content and the internet. Please solve this!

9. Click PDF links in editing mode

   When I use my Apple Pencil I can easily scroll through the PDF documents with my finger. That works just amazing! But I can not click links within the PDF to other pages in editing mode. This forces me to change to read mode and then click the link, go back to editing mode and start editing. This takes a tremendous amount of time if you use GoodNotes as a with a digital life planner.

11. Pen Colour/Thickness Profiles

    It would be great if we could have "profiles" set up for Pen Colours (and thicknesses)

    For example, for my work notes, I use Black, Red and Blue pens but for my journaling, diary, personal note taking, I also use different colours with larger pen thickness etc.

    Currently I have to manually select the colours and pen thicknesses when switching from professional to personal notebooks but using profiles would help make and instant switch between different profiles for different uses

12. Use highlighter to generate Flashcards

    Most of the time we use the highlighter to make note of something we want to remember/study. It would be cool if I can use the Question highlighter to highlight a term and the Answer highlighter to highlight the answer. By doing this, flashcards are generated automatically. 13. Use PDF format that enables auto-exporting for highlights to Readwise

    You can’t save or export highlights on PDFs imported into GoodNotes. But given GoodNotes is such a nice PDF reader, I want to do reading in GoodNotes and then be able to use the content I’ve highlighted elsewhere, e.g. combine it with highlights in Pocket or Instapaper, as part of my research workflow. But at the moment the highlights are static and stuck in the app, so you have to go back through each reading 1 at a time. Enabling highlight exporting — especially if automated via Readwise — would be a gamechanger in allowing me to use GoodNotes for all my PDF reading. At the moment I have to use different apps for this.

15. flip and zoom in on flashcards

    The new function is great! I think however we could take better advantage of the space by making landscape cards that fill the screen and flip to reveal the answer, since it is very hard to read half page cards if they are small, especially if we can’t zoom in on them

18. Personalize the bookmarks

    Now we can use the red bookmark feature to highlight a page or the red star button for folders. However it would make it even better if one could change colors of those bookmarks and therefore find them in different areas, like with MacOS (see attached image).

20. Being able to write even in presentation mode with invisible toolbar

    It would be useful to being able to write in a document even with the toolbar being invisible. This had the effect that the whole page being visible would be bigger as it fills the whole iPad screen.
    Maybe you could create some kind of „mini toolbar“ in pop-up style that could be used in this mode.
