Lock an object size while rotating
When you rotate an object after using the lasso, it is not possible to keep the size because the functions are mixed. Resizing and rotating should be two functions or you need to be able to lock the size while rotating.

Wow, I just checked out Boston Mills absolutely love their collection! The handcrafted detail in their furniture is stunning, and the fact that they focus on sustainability makes it even better. Each piece really does feel like it tells a story. Perfect for anyone wanting to add a touch of charm and character to their space. Definitely bookmarking this one! https://www.bostonmills.net/

This is the most important feature goodnotes currently lacks. Please update it for Goodnotes 5 and 6.

Completely agree! So frustrating!

Goodnotes 5 currently doesn't allow you to lock the scale of a selection when rotating it, which can be frustrating. As a workaround, you can rotate the object and then manually adjust the scale back to its original size. This isn't ideal, but it might help achieve the desired result. Consider providing feedback to Goodnotes support for a more seamless experience in the future https://www.wellstar-mychart.com

And while you’re at it, how about giving the rotation tool some better resolution. The first jump is far
too big. -

One of the best casinos I've tried, Stay Casino offers a great selection of games to suit all tastes. Whether you like slots, table games, or live dealers, this site provides everything you need to enjoy your gaming experience. I was particularly pleased with the speed of payouts - no unnecessary delays. In addition, there are many generous bonuses that make the gameplay even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a reliable casino, this one won't disappoint.

The rotate, resize objects is currently tied to together, therefore when I just want to rotate an object I can’t unless my hand is really steady otherwise it resizes the object as well - these two functions have to be separate.

This has been posted several times but no update from the devs about it. I NEED to be able to rotate without changing the size of a selection. This severely reduces the usability for me I know it can’t be difficult to add a lock on the size!

Oh my gosh, yes. A group objects option would be amazing for sure!
As for separating resize / scale and rotate, you aren't the only one asking for that!
I am a subscriber and I have the most recent update, it's still not there. This needs to happen.
I was working on a map today and I wanted to rotate a line showing 0.1 mile, but I can't keep my hand steady enough to rotate without also changing the size of the selection. I have also worked on things like planning out a room before I move furniture and it's super annoying that I can't keep scale when rotating.
This is easily fixed by separating rotating from scaling.
I'm voting "Critical" on this and all the other posts asking for the same thing!

Would be a great feature at school. Specially for Math.

A simple rotation of images with resizing them would be very great. This feature is very standard, yet for some reason we need AI in Goodnotes 6 more than basic image rotation!

Would love this feature too. A somewhat standard transformation box where each vertex and edge is a handle, a separate ui element for rotating, and maybe one more for constrained resize.
I'm thinking the free transform tool from Affinity Designer, Adobe Photoshop\Illustrator, Figma, and Sketch.
The problem with the current solution is that I often rotate when I don't mean to or I resize an element when I only wanted to rotate it.

I want to rotage my drawn line/pic but it was resized at the same time. It is difficult to control.

Please add snap to original size like it snaps to original angle, so we could rotate without scaling.

It is SOOOOO annoying !
Or just add an additional touch feature : if I touch the screen with my other hand while I turn, it locks the size... not ideal but possible ! -

I'm aware I can resize/rotate my handwriting already, but, it doesn't have an option not to keep the aspect ratio. Sometimes I want to squish my handwriting a little to make it thinner inside a box.
This option I've only seen it with Elements, but even then it's a Click/DeSelect/Hold/Click again and THEN editing. It's clunky. I think this also needs to be streamlined if added for handwriting. Not a fan of Rotate/Resize being the same handle either. It makes me make a selection bigger or smaller when trying to rotate.

Hi there,
We are a school that has over 600+ users and have moved to Goodnotes from Notability. We are loving Goodnotes but would like to have the option to control this. Another thing to note is that if you move your finger slightly it will duplicate the image you are trying to resize when that action is not desired.
Thank you for being awesome!

Totally agree. I use rotation to teach students about geosynchronous orbit (Physics). Rotate without snapping and resizing will make it perfect.
