[Audio Recording] Speech-to-text / Dictation
I use goodnotes in uni and have audio recording turned on during notes in my lectures. The thing I have noticed is that while helpful, for many of my classes, when I go to make refined notes it means i have to go back and listen to the whole lecture again (often pausing alot write down and catchup with things the prof said). This means that I often have to spend 2-3 hours on a one hour lecture just to get everything the prof said written down so I don’t miss anything. Thats alot of time dedicated to a class before I even start actually studying. I have recently encountered a couple experiences with speech-to-text annotation (through zoom & otter.ai). My immediate reaction was how amazing it would be to have this on Goodnotes & save me going back through all my recordings in good notes to write everything down, would be a life saver. In the future I would LOVE to see such a feature in goodnotes with a side bar type scenario of that syncs up with recordings.

This could be a post process so that it does not slow down your system

Having the capability to convert spoken words into written text, also known as voice to text transcription, is an invaluable tool that has the potential to revolutionize the way you capture and retain information. Imagine being able to effortlessly transcribe a lecture word by word, facilitating an efficient process for transforming spoken content into written form. Furthermore, this feature opens up the possibility of seamlessly integrating the transcription process with note-taking techniques such as the popular Cornell notes method. By merging these two powerful tools, you enhance your learning experience by creating a comprehensive and organized repository of information gleaned from lectures. In essence, voice to text transcription not only simplifies the task of capturing spoken words but also streamlines the process of synthesizing and structuring valuable content for future reference.

I would like to be able to talk and my voice to be converted to my handwriting in PDF annotated pages in GoodNotes. This feature would be something that none of the similar applications support and would really streamline putting our thoughts onto the digital paper with our own handwriting.

Imagine you've recorded a 3-hour class, which makes finding a particular chapter incredibly difficult, also this tool makes it easier for you to write the professor's words into your notes.

An integrated speech to text, still keeping editing features and functions the same as written/typed, would be fabulous! Especially for the neuro divergent community!

I currently use Word as a diary as it has the Speech to Text option so I often just talk instead of having to type - much quicker, but also like having the option to do both

The ability to record in the note and have it write it out as a text format like on Google Docs speech to text, or the Google pixel recording app feature. This would be great for people with disabilities as well.

i'm an apple pencil user - using the new audio feature to convert to text would be awesome as an attachment to my written notes and recording.
in a perfect world i would be able to highlight the "transcript" and possibly copy/paste into sections of my written summary notes.

I've always wanted this feature, because even the competing app has it, such as word from windows

Is it possible to convert a voice memo to text. This would be most helpful when travelling for business to send memos back to the office

It would be awesome to create a dictate function on good notes. I would love for there to be an ability for me to dictate notes and it would convert it into text.
