Go back after clicking a hyperlink in PDF
One should be able to go back to the original page after clicking a hyperlink in a PDF file. This is necessary when annotating some long PDF files.

It’s 2024 and this simple feature still hasn’t been implemented. Most yearly planners in the marketplace rely heavily on hyperlinks. With 1900+ pages it becomes a nightmare to navigate in them back and forward. While the yearly planners have impressive designs, the way the app handles hyperlinks makes them inferior.

Agreed, adding this feature would quietly make GoodNotes the most useful pdf reader for all scientific articles, I’ll have no choice but to recommend GoodNotes to everyone.

This is a very important feature for reading scientific papers (PDFs) where there are many citations that hyperlink to the bibliography section

Instead of opening a new document to go back, there should be another easier way to go back and forth smoothly

I would love to see this, too. I can create that kind of button in both Keynote and Adobe Acrobat DC. However, for some reason, GoodNotes doesn't recognize it. Even though the link works in the PDF, it won't work after importing it into GoodNotes.

Yes!!! This is so trivial yet so annoying. I use a calendar in GoodNotes and since I have that document open at all times, I have it under my starred Documents, but that’s still quite annoying. Please implement this, that would be great!

A simple button in the menu area to directs the user to the open documents instead of open any document just to open the previously opened docs.

Now, we cannot go back to the link point after tapping a link in the pdf. How about adding this feature?

This was a feature in Good Notes 4, but I could not find it in Good Notes 5.
https://feedback.goodnotes.com/forums/191274-customer-suggestions-for-goodnotes/suggestions/4115825--last-viewed-page-button has it marked as completed, so I felt the new comments may not be noticed. I'm posting a new thread for it.Thanks.

Would be very useful, in particular for large pdfs with hyperlinks: a single "previous view" button or gesture would be perfect.
May be this would be a first step toward suggestion http://feedback.goodnotes.com/forums/191274-customer-suggestions-for-goodnotes/suggestions/33538312-enable-to-create-links-between-pages -

Goodnotes 4 had a feature whereby one could "go back" to the last page one had viewed in the document. This feature is not available in Goodnotes 5. I request that this feature be added to Goodnotes 5.

Yes, please! Either or both...
* Simple forward/backward buttons next to thumbnails button
* (Supposing page-advance is ‘swipe right to left’) Swiping up or down for forward/back -

I am a heavy user of the Go Back command in GN4. I I can't really upgrade without it. Why would you have removed it?! Please bring it back!

I would love the ability to go back to previous screen or page instead of having to scroll through after clicking a embedded link . For example I use a digital planner and while I’m looking at weekly view I might click Monday for example, thus taking me far away from my weekly page. I then have to swipe through or go up to my bookmarks to get back. A simple gesture or button that’s essentially backs up would be the greatest user friendly improvement .

Provide a Back button to allow you to navigate to the last page viewed. Using a PDF Planner purchased from Etsy, I navigate around large hyperlinked documents and often have to go through multiple steps to get back to a certain page. Having a back button would save a lot of time.
Today if I use a link that takes me to another section of the document, I have to go to the grid view, scroll until I can find the page I was before and then select it to return.

Please reintroduce the go back option that was present in goodnotes 4 in goodnotes 5. That allowed us to go back to an initial page if we clicked on a internal link. It’s so annoying to be forced to scroll back the full document once a link has been clicked.

In goodnotes4, this button is really useful! However, I can’t find it in the new vision, which confuses me a lot. Please set this button for users to go back where they viewed just now. I believe it helps many people.

Where is the "go back" option that was so useful in GN4 when using pdf hyperlinks? It's annoying to be able to "click" on a page link without to be able to go back when reading a document.
