3. Add option to disable page snapping when scrolling to different pages

   in Goodnotes 6, I noticed that when I just try to scroll slightly down to the bottom of a page it will auto snap me to the center of the next page, and vice versa when scrolling to the top part of a page. Please add a function to disable this.

5. Import file name as it is

   When importing a file, the filename gets cut.

   Example:
   Tried importing a file with a filename of "9. [PATHO] Disorders in WBC, Lymph Nodes, Spleen, Thymus", but it was cut to just "9".

   It's frustrating having to rename the files esp. when importing multiple files.

6. Select text in a PDF across pages

   We should be able to select (i.e., highlight) text from an imported PDF across multiple pages. Not being able to is very limiting.

7. AutoFit

   If there was a way to select autofit being on or off, that would be great! I often write really small and like to zoom in a lot. Unfortunately, when I do, the side edges of the doc are autofitted to my iPad screen, making it harder to write.

8. Please add an option to disable the “Pull to Add Page” gesture.

   It often creates unwanted pages when flipping through study PDFs or filled notebooks — not blank ones — by duplicating the first or last page unnecessarily.

10. Option to extend pages when reaching the end

    I always extend the height of my pages manually when i reach the end so everything stays on one page. That's why I propose an alternative to the "create new page" button when this happens.

11. shortcut for highlighter

    I think adding some shortcuts for the highlight tool on pc would be good. For ex, command + H for the highlight and command + S for strikeout, etc.

12. Lasso option to SELECT a SPECIFIC PENCIL and PEN color only!!

    I'm a STORYBOARD ARTIST and I REALLY LOVE GOODNOTE'S Pencil tool!
    But for a decent Workflow I need to make THUMBNAIL DRAWINGS in BLUE or RED first and then LATER INK THEM in BLACK on top.

    Therefore I would EITHER need a SELCTIVE COLOR ERASER, and/or a
    SELCTIVE COLOR LASSO..

    I then could ALTER the BUE SKETCH below , by either changing it to a different color, that'a not as visible ( a light GREY for example) OR erase /delete it ALLTOGETHER, with my BLACK Drawing intact!!

    That would be a GAME-CHANGER for my workflow and would imitate a more sophisticted drawing app like apple notes or even Procreate in THAT regard..

    But I really would like to do that INSIDE GOODNOTES! 🙏🏻👀 Thanks!

13. stoke colorizer / stroke fill tool

    How COOL would it be it you could take stokes that you had already made, and colorize them? so you wrote in white, but you want to make the stuff your pen stoke touches to be a blue color.

    I know right now the alternative is to select and then change color but for many situations this is a better user experience

    Think about it as a color fill tool.

14. Sending single pages into students classroom notebooks when they miss a lesson

    Add a feature that allows teachers to send single pages to individual students — for example, to share missed lesson notes directly in the classroom notebook, in the exact place where the original worksheet was worked on.

15. Selection Tool Copying for PDFs (like Notability)

    Please simplify the current "select -> screenshot -> share -> copy" function of the selection tool to simplify copy and paste parts of PDFs. Notability has this and it's MILES better than GoodNotes implementation which takes forever to copy a section of a PDF when I'm copying problems from my lecture slides to my notes.

    This will make my, and so many students, note-taking so much easier.

17. Lasso tool desktop app

    I think the lasso tool doesn't work properly on desktop and isn't natural to use.
    To select text is it fine, but if you want to move a shape or text you have to clic on it to select and then move it. There should be a way for it to recognize the object and move on the first clic. Also, on mac you are able to duplicate something by pressing option and dragging it somewhere else. Text options should allow us to put indexes and exponants, this would be great for math formulas and we need more options for formulas in general, take inspiration from the equation integration in word.

19. Implement Apple's Stroke Prediction for Best Pencil Latency

    Owning an iPad Pro with an OLED screen with fantastic pixel response, I can't but go back to Apple Notes to enjoy the note taking experience with almost no perceivable latency and instant real-life note taking experience.

    Unfortunately GoodNotes 6 has a noticeable latency that can be eliminated if the team can implement the same algorithms used in Apple Notes app.

    To repreduce this you can draw a straight line on a blank page from the bottom of the iPad to the top, you'll see a gap on GoodNotes 6 between the tip of the pencil and the line as you're drawing it. There's no gap seen when done on the Notes app.

    GoodNotes team, please allow stroke prediction toggle or whatever improved PencilKit magic that Apple is using in their OS. Thanks!

20. [Toolbar] Consolidate duplicate tools in split screen

    When the screen is split, the UI feels very intrusive. In particular, the recording icon appears on both screens and is quite large. The same goes for the Undo button. I think unused tools should be consolidated into one place, and the freed-up space could be used for tools that are actually needed. This idea aligns with your philosophy of being “all in one.”
