  2. Mathematical conversion

    Can yall add a maths conversion tool where when we write an equation, we can select that equation using the lasso tool to convert to a high resolution text

  3. Windows and dropbox support

    Hi I currently use an iOS app (Notebooks: writer) and am looking at your app as a replacement. It has many features that I like including folder/subfolder support. But there are two features that I need. Dropbox sync and Windows support, at least be able to read notes from Goodnotes on a Windows browser. From what I see these don’t seem to be provided, but would be happy if you could advise otherwise. Cheers Anton

  5. When I export a file in GoodNotes to PDF...

    I am having this issue where I import a PDF into Goodnotes, make some edits, then want to export my edited PDF, but when I do so, it names the PDF file using only lowercase letters, even though the original file is named with some uppercase and lowercase letters. Is there a way to fix this? I just want the new file to have the same name and format as the original file.

  6. Dropbox

    I’m amazed that people have been suggesting direct access to Dropbox for YEARS now and nothing has come of it. Having to import documents from Dropbox into GoodNotes file management system is ridiculous and tedious; let me open the file directly from Dropbox and save it directly TO Dropbox rather than having to import and export!

  7. Lining Up Text and Other Media

    I would love if there was a way to put your text boxes in certain places automatically or know your text is centered on the page. My idea for being able to do this would be maybe a button, or similar to Snapchat and Instagram stories, lines could pop up to let you know your text is in the middle of the page or centered at the top of the page.   8. Make scanned document or photo of written text able to be recognized text.

    Make scanned documents or photos of handwriting able to be manipulated or changed to editable features on phone apps. Make photo or document scan able to be rotated and cropped like photo file. This should be easy stuff to setup.

  9. presentation mode onion skin

    Hey GoodNotes Team,

    I‘m a teacher from Germany and love & use GoodNotes5 for preparing und presenting my lessons.
    The presantation mode is great, but I dream about a function, that would allow me to see the whole script, that my students on the external screen don‘t see. Like a thin layer, so I see points I shouldn‘t forget or where I must draw or write something, without using an extra piece of paper.

  10. Hide navigation bar and optionally hiding the editing bar for screen space efficiency

    Even after hiding the status bar, GoodNotes still consumes screen real estate. Let's add an option to hide the navigation bar with the gallery and search and share button. It's not very useful most of the time while working on one document.

    Likewise, hiding the editing toolbar gains space but then editing is turned off. The toolbar could simply fold itself into one button in the top right corner so that the user can focus on the document and the text they are writing and get it back when they need it by tapping the screen or using a touch…

  11. Option to not include background in screenshot

    Can you add an option to not include the background when using the lasso tool to take a screenshot? I often will use this feature to put diagrams I've made into typed notes (printed on white paper); however, I usually use GoodNotes with yellow dotted paper. Instead of changing the background template, taking a screen shot, and then changing it back, it would be much easier to have this option available when taking a screenshot. Something similar is provided when exporting (i.e., by selecting "don't export background").

  12. Adjustment to the size of a text should also be able to adjust the text itself.

    Meaning longer/shorter rows but more/less of them.

  13. Showing the share sheet when selecting text

    The share sheet lets us integrate with various apps or shortcuts.
    For example, I often want to translate some sentences in the document to my native language.
    However, right now, I have to copy the sentence, close GoodNotes, open Safari, paste it to some translation website (e.g., DeepL), and then go back to GoodNotes, which is kind of annoying.
    If there were a share sheet, I could simply select the sentence, tap on the "Share" button, and choose whatever shortcuts I want to use.

  14. improvements i’d like to see in good notes

    • audio recordings that sync to the handwriting (fundamental)
    • the possibility to use light or dark mode independently from the system
    • have only one color palette for both pens and highlighters
    • the dropper tool to add colors to the palette
    • edit / personalise toolbar with the possibility to hide features that we don’t use often in a little “+” sign where we can find all of them that one time we need to (this would be AWESOME)

  15. Default view under vertical scrolling

    When I open a PDF file, the file is scaled so that I can see a full page as large as possible (usually setting the page to be as tall as my viewing window but somewhat narrower). This is probably the best option when scrolling is set to horizontal.

    However, it is not the correct default behavior for vertical scrolling; in that case, a better default would be for the page to be scaled to occupy the full width of the window, regardless of the page's height.

  17. View multiple-levels in list view

    Hi,

    I have a lot of folders that contain subfolders.

    It is hard for me to search for documents, as I can only view one folder at a time in the list view mode.

    Can I suggest a multiple-level view in list view mode?

    Its something similar to the native files app on ipad.

  18. Screenshot from splitscreen (full resolution) (not using apple screenshot tool)

    When using splitscreen, generally if you want a good screenshot you have to zoom in and out to do so. However, if there was a functionality to screenshot the other page that you’re working off of and then import it into the page that you’re working on, you could get much higher quality notes.

  19. Quick format selector

    I would like to have a feature where you can press and hold on any writing in the note and your pen will automatically use that selected formatting, similar to a colour eye dropper tool.

  20. Export and return Bug

    After I export a pdf document to another app and then import another file to GoodNotes, the screen is just dimmed as if it would give me the option to select an import location.

    For example, i would export my science homework file to an app. Then, I would import another homework file into GoodNotes while the export option is still open and it goes dim.
