They could add it like how it works in procreate: if you drag a color from the color selector on a closed section it fills it with that specific color, that way you can fill without adding too many tools to the toolbar

GoodNotes can be limited when it comes to coloring. I wish we had a paint bucket tool to fill in areas faster, as well as a blending tool to avoid harsh lines when coloring. I often have to color for lab reports, and it's inconvenient to do that on GoodNotes. I also wish we could select things with the lasso without it dragging whatever is behind it. At times, I have to change a portion I colored, but it drags anything it overlaps with, making it difficult to select a specific area. The eraser tool can also have more sizing options. The smallest one available is still too large sometimes, and it erases things I didn't want it to.

We don't need the massive flexibility of ProCreate, we just need to fill shapes. It's half there already with Draw and Hold: instead of filling it semitransparent, fill it 100% and give us a slider to back off the opacity. You are already determining an opacity with the semi-transparent so you're setting a value in the source code already. Just set it to 100%, give is a tool to dial in opacity and that would be a great start in the right direction.

This idea was suggested on the "Apr 20, 2022" it's December 2024 and still no proper implementation. What's taking so long?? Very poor
