Redesign Writing Tab + Text-Wrap-Pictures
Currently the writing tool in Goodnotes is a little useless in my opinion there are like 5 styles I can choose from.
Why can’t I change the font?
Why can’t I change the size specifically?
Why can’t I insert pictures that move with text or wrap the Text?
Why can’t YOU use the existing feature of the Textbox for the Writing Tool?
And then just try once to change the color of a text snippet to a custom color…nice menu…but I can’t scroll because my onscreen keyboard is in the way and therefore I can’t select the color wheel (which…2 votes -
Bugs, Long loading time fix instead of useless AI
The App loads for five seconds every time I switch from another app to Goodnotes that’s incredibly annoying and Please, Please fix this. Generally the App is really slow even on a fast device.
I think you should fix such problems first instead of inventing the 3rd AI feature or a nasty animated circle around the active tool. I mean wtf nobody needs this. I just want a working app.3 votes -

Simplified action for copy-and-paste notebook to another folder
I wish a copy-and-paste feature of notebook to another folder, as a single action.
When I need to make copies of a file and put them in multiple folders, I have to repeat the operations: 1. Copy the file, which creates a copy under the name of 'Copy of foobar', 2. Move it to a folder, 3. Change the name of the moved file to delete the prefixed 'Copy of'.
This is a very awkward way of making multiple copies. I would like to operate like the Move operation: Long tap on the notebook -> Seclect Copy-To -> Select the…1 vote -

Please, Allows us to use shortcut to change colors while using Keyboard for take notes. That’s really useful… we need to use hand/pencil to change colors and this take some time.
Example: cmd + r (change to red) or maybe we could setup our preferences though

Feature Suggestion: Auto-Beautify Arrows for GoodNotes
When drawing an arrow freely with the ballpoint pen tool, it would be fantastic if GoodNotes could automatically convert it into a neat, straight arrow. This feature could also adapt to curved arrows, subtly smoothing out the lines without losing the intended shape. For example, if the user creates a zig-zag arrow, the feature would only refine the edges slightly to make it look smoother, without drastically altering the zig-zag style.
If this doesn’t consume too many resources on the iPad, it would be a great addition to improve the visual appeal of notes, allowing for more polished and professional-looking…

writing experience between current page to next
When writing continues from the current page to the next, the next page should be automatically added, and the handwriting should seamlessly extend to the following page rather than being "cut off" or "eaten" by it. (Similar to the writing experience in Notability, which handles this particularly well.)

Export notes with synced audio and handwriting
Hello GoodNotes Team,
Thank you for the great app! I really enjoy using the audio recording feature while writing notes, especially because it syncs perfectly with my handwriting.
I would love to have an option to export the note with both the audio and the synchronized handwriting, either as an interactive file or a video. This would allow me to share my lecture notes with friends in the exact way I experienced them — with the timing of each written point aligned to the recording.
Currently, sharing a PDF or exporting as images loses that functionality, and it’s a big…

GoodNotes 5 v 6
I paid for GoodNotes 5 as well as the interim GoodNotes 5 upgrade. My app was upgraded to GoodNotes 6 during iOS App Store updates. Now I’m being forced to purchase a GoodNotes 6 subscription with a nag screen even though I’m running version 5. I suggest that you leave us happy version 5 people alone, stop holding our data ransom and avoid a class action lawsuit suit.

Ability to create flashcards directly from notebook
I currently create notes when working (in a notebook) and then go on to create flashcards for a topic - rather than creating flashcards directly from study material.
I use different software for flashcards but would reconsider if there was an easier (or more obvious way) to create flashcards from a notebook i.e. circle to select some text and add it to a flashcard the same way I can screenshot it

Timestamp Linking Between Voice Recordings and Notes
Hi Goodnotes team,
I have another feature suggestion that could greatly enhance the experience of using audio recordings within notebooks.
Currently, when we start a voice recording and take notes by hand or typing during the recording, there’s no way to later connect specific notes to the exact moment they were written.
My suggestion: it would be incredibly useful if, after saving the recording, I could tap on a word or note I wrote during the session, and the audio would jump directly to the exact minute and second when that note was taken.
This feature would be a game-changer…

Despite having a page under the url suffix /pricing, there are no prices on this page to associate with the descriptions of the plans. please update with pricing for subscription and permanent lifetime access models.

Disable Presentation mode
dont force the presentation mode on connection to external screen, or at least allow to turn it off. It’s a common use case to use iPad for writing while watching a video on external screen, which is blocked by your presentation

Additional Space for Notes Next to PDFs
I’m a philosophy student in Germany, and I use GoodNotes to read and annotate PDFs, scrolling vertically through the pages. One feature I’ve always wished for is the ability to add extra space to the left and/or right side of the page.
This would be a real game-changer for me. Currently, I often have to squeeze small notes into the margins of my documents, which feels cluttered. Having expandable note-taking areas next to the PDF would make annotating much more comfortable.

Zoom Window Auto Advance
When using the Zoom Window in addition the Auto Advance having the blue box on the left side of the screen is quite inefficient. I have been a long time of user (3 years+) and I have always thought that enabling the choice for the Blue Auto Advance Box to be either on the left or right would be HIGHLY useful!
