1. Auto swap to pen tool from eraser

   I am a student and I use goodnotes to take notes or write down my idea. So I always need to swap between pen and eraser when I make some mistake, I think it is so inconvenient clicking screen to swap between the tools.

   I suggest a feature, auto swap back to pen tool after using eraser(for about 2 seconds without continue erasing)

2. New iPadOS Tool Palette availability in Goodnotes

   Instead of having the Goodnotes default tool palette, it'd be good if the new iPadOS Tool Palette was introduced (when it comes out of course) on devices that support the system.

3. Toolbar for keyboard

   Add a toolbar when the keyboard mode is activated, in that form, we will have shortcuts for type of fonts, size , curved, italic , center, color , taps, like a mini toolbar like Word

4. Plz give me back the Zoom tool!

   1.In the Zoom Window, eraser, frequently used color, backward, etc. have disappeared. It is annoying because the move is long.

   2.After all, it does not seem to support two page views at a time.

   3.No highlighter in Drawing Shapes. Drawing shape with Highlighters are only linear ...
   At Goodnote 4, i can draw circle, triangle, etc with highlighter.

   4.There is still no changing the template at once ....
   When I write i use grid and i print i with only white page.
   I have to change it every single page.

   5.On the preview page, version 4 shows the current page and its neighborhood(?) nearby(?) (i don’t know how to describe...), but not 5. It shows page 1 and i have to find it.

   6.The initial format is ugly ... Folder design,,, What happend with it ...?

5. palm rest, go to last page, indicate page number..

   @GoodNotesApp plz. plz..add palm rest in horizontal scrolling.. otherwise no use in horizontal scrolling since it become very difficult to write in bottom of the page..,add go to last page and previous page option.. which are already present in goodnotes 4..

7. More flexible toolbar for split view on macOS

   The toolbar should be small or flexible enough to allow a smaller windows for the split view in macOS. At the moment GoodNotes uses almost 2/3 of the screen, in previous versions with the hidden toolbar you could size the window freely.

8. Bulk import and export of PDFs

   I need to grade term papers and would love to simply sync (or drag and drop in the GoodNotes desktop app) a folder with PDFs and export all of them in one step when I am finished.

9. Comments similar to Excel

   Ability to add comments. For example I often use GoodNotes to take notes during meetings. Near the top I write the initials of the people attending the meeting - writing their full names would take up too much space. Sometimes there are multiple people with the same initials or I forget people’s full names if I don’t know them well.

   I could add notes to each person’s initials and tap on them later to see the person’s full name.

   Another option would be to allow a collapsible writing area.

   Either that or

10. Study a document : split screen and copy paste pdf as image for formulas

    Hi, I already like very much GoodNotes as it is ! But here would be a really nice improvement : i would love to study several PDFs inside goodnotes. For this I would like to have on a half of the screen my pdf article I want to study, and on the other side a sheet of manuscript notes. On those notes, I want sometimes to just copy paste a theorem or a formula of the article (I am a mathematician). So it would be really great to be able to have :
    1) split screen option
    2) copy paste a part of the pdf as an image. I know that this feature already exists but for the moment we have to use lasso tool, the choose “copy as an image” option and then paste it on another page... I would find it easier to just move from one page (the pdf) to another (my notes) just with the gesture (like to copy from good notes to another app).

    With those features, we would be able to do partially what Flexcil does for instance, or even partially what MarginNote does, more naturally than those app do. (I like and respect the features of those apps but like very much simplicity and something which is close to paper way).

11. Import to same folder and open automatically

    I have my subjects divided in folders and more so than often I would have one file open and will want to import another one to the same folder and have it open automatically. The current available options are to either add before or after the current page, or to browse the whole library to get into the folder. Sometimes I have a folder inside another folder, this as you can imagine isn’t the best possible way. So can you please an option to import to the same folder as a separate file and open automatically?

17. Support for multiple platform

    Hi,

    Wahed here. Please take love from Bangladesh. Currently am using GoodNotes almost regularly for my office and personal works. It's been working really great with my iPad and apple pencil. Kudos for the excellent work and execution :)

    However, I really find it annoying when I really need my note's references on a different platform. For example, I took my Credit Card balance calculation on iPad and at Bank, I have my Mac and my Android Phone. But, I have no references with me now. In another occasion, I previously sketched some flow of my office work and later while waiting at a coffee shop, waiting for some one, I wanted to take a look at those sketches for some brainstorming but I can't.

    I believe, you guys already have planned something bigger for goodNotes. But I would request you these.

    1. Please release a MAC version for the goodNote
    2. if Possible please release an Android and Windows version as well.

    Or Better you do this ->
    Create an online version of goodNotes. Which we can use from any platform or additionally contain it within a webview and release platform independent version like Slack. Then it will be more useful.

    Another request, can you please also add a section to goodNotes named Todo. Which is a very basic todo thing. Then many like me, will not need to hop into different apps if having goodNotes just for todo References.

18. Remember pen options for different documents

    It would be awesome if different documents could remember the pen options for each of them. This feature was available in GoodNotes 4, but I was shocked that it disappeared in 5. I usually need to switch between several documents each requiring a different pen size/color, and I almost went mad after typing the desired pen option for 100 times because it was not remembered for each doc. I have been bearing with Goodnotes 5 for half a year, and I will probably switch to Goodnotes 4 if this simple and useful feature is still not implemented.

19. Finger-activation of hyperlinks in edit mode

    Currently, hyperlinks in pdf files seem to be activated only in view mode.
    When using styluses, this kind of limitation is not necessary.
