Collapsible “Sticky Notes”
Especially in PDFs and PowerPoint Presentations where you cannot add more room to write on or around the page, having the ability to add and create a collapsible “sticky note” on the page would be useful. An example is provided:
Hello,
With the September 2025 update, collapsing Sticky Notes are now available.
To use them:
- Select Sticky Notes from the main toolbar (it’s a separate tool).
- Create a sticky note.
- Tap Collapse (the arrows icon) in the object menu, the note will collapse along with its text, similar to a comment icon.
- To expand it again, simply tap the sticky note.

Imagine being able to insert a small, collapsible element on any page where you can jot down extra notes, ideas, or reminders. When you're done, you simply tap it to fold it away—keeping your page tidy and uncluttered while still having those notes accessible at any time.

RUNT por placa" is a term commonly used in Colombia, and it refers to checking a vehicle’s information through the RUNT (Registro Único Nacional de Tránsito) system using the license plate number (placa).
You can check RUNT information by plate at:

The collapsible sticky note feature is really great! However, when you open it again it opens as a comment and not as a sticky note. Would it be possible to have it open as a sticky note again, and maybe also have the choice on what it should look like (number, symbol, size) when collapsed. This could really help my notes taking!

I think Nicholas Jones explained it perfectly, this would be a game changer!

Like how we can create comments and collapse them, if we could place a sticky note and collapse it, I think this would be a great feature to expand note taking. Especially on things like PDFs that do not have a lot of room in the margins.

While collapsible sticky notes may not be a standard feature in most PDF readers, some advanced PDF annotation tools or specialized note-taking apps may offer similar functionality. Look for apps that support dynamic annotations or extended note-taking capabilities. https://qrcodescanner.org/

Please add this to your feature especially on PDF documents where in the margins of a book is note enough to write some additional notes, could we just have an extra space outside the PDF page without doing it on another notebook? So that when we review that book, it was all in one place? If it will be hard for you to do then why not try a collapsible sticky note that could be put on the edge of a pdf margin so it would look like an extender on the same page of a pdf? Thank you so much. More power.

In a document, when it’s a PDF with two columns, sometimes I need to take notes for each paragraph, so if I use a sticky note to summarise one paragraph, it takes up space over the next paragraph. If we had sticky notes which could be seen as symbols/ icons when not needed, and extended when clicked, it could save a ton of space while allowing us to take notes for each section.

An “add comment/note” option over a selected area or text like we have in MS Word where you can select a word and add a comment there. Could be useful for a quick definition or a full form of the selected text which I don’t want to write in my main notes, etc.

I love this idea! It would make it easier to annotate or add lecture notes on pages that are already full of text. I could just click on the sticky note and it be full-sized with all my handwritten notes, then when I am done, minimize it to see the text actually written on the pages in my textbook!

I would love to have the possibility to hide or resize sticky notes very small when tapping on them. On á second tap the sticky notes then could get big again.

Is it possible to "collapse" a text note ? I'm reading a PDF document, making handwritten notes. I want to type a long note, with some text copied from Wikipedia, but I don't want to have the text taking all the space. So, is it possible to make the note collapse like a "yellow sticky note", so I can see it is there but not taking all the space. If I click on the "sticky note" it would "uncollapse" so I can read it or edit it.

When within a notebook, I would really like to add a note to a specific word/phrase like a definition or textbook reference that is only seen when clicked on. It can expand when you need it to, and when collapsed it gives a small indicator that there is more info there.

This would be great! Sort of like iAnnotate. I have iAnnotate in addition to GoodNotes, but I like GoodNotes for everything else, so it would be nice to stop having to swap back and forth.
