Hability for Disabling AI
I understand that AI is having a big impact on new technologies and it’s amazing the big effort that you are making to include it in the app.Thanks si much.
Some people are love it. But some of us, which we don’t want (at this moment) this type of new technology, because we don’t feel it is necessary or we just want a “basic good app”, we would like to have a “swich” to disable all this AI option, because it takes to much space and resources of the app.

AI Audio Overview from notes or PDF like notebook LM
Notebook LM has a great feature where you can create an audio overview using AI that creates a podcast episode from the content. This is the only reason I use Notebook LM as well as goodnotes and I think this should be on Goodnotes' roadmap as party of becoming a leading AI notebook took.

audio recording accessory
Hi! After the latest GoodNotes 6 update, a small recording bar shows up on the top right when recording audio.
It’s fixed there, and since I’m right-handed, I keep accidentally touching it while writing — which stops the recording 😭
It would be great if we could move it or just have a small recording indicator in the main toolbar instead. That would make note-taking while recording so much easier!Thanks a lot for listening 💙

changing colour of all (selected) notes to one quickly
I and so many other enjoy writing on black paper, then switching it to white.
I’d like to be able to select say some of my white handwriting/text and convert ALL white text to black/ another colour instead of taking ages and selecting specific sections avoiding some where they’re a different colour.
I’m sure this is useful if people purely want to switch all they’re say highlighted notes to a different colour or text if they change their mind on a colour scheme.

Enable Text Highlighting with Mouse on iPadOS
Dear Goodnotes Team,
I’d like to share some feedback regarding the use of a mouse in the iPadOS version of Goodnotes.
Currently, when using the app on a MacBook, it’s possible to highlight text with a mouse. However, on the iPad, this functionality is not available. If you’re using an iPad with a mouse and keyboard setup, you have to physically move the iPad closer, pick up the Apple Pencil, and only then can you highlight text.
This makes the experience less seamless, especially for users who prefer a desktop-like setup with their iPad.

Lack of snapping and reference points when using shapes
Hi everyone,
I’d like to report a limitation I’ve noticed when working with shapes in Goodnotes and ask if others feel the same.When drawing or editing shapes such as circles, squares, and lines, there is currently no snapping or anchoring system. This makes it difficult to align shapes precisely or connect them to each other.
In particular:
There are no visible reference points (such as center points, midpoints, or edge anchors).
It’s hard to find the exact center of a circle or square.

When using GoodNotes 7 (currently on version 7.0.8), any ink drawn on top of an imported image or element (for example, a coordinate-grid or graph) behaves incorrectly after being selected.Steps to reproduce:

Return underlining button
GN recently took away the ability to do straight underling in favor of holding the pen until it snaps into place. I do a lot of underlining of study projects, and that was my most used feature. Now it is gone and it takes much more time to have to hold the pen for a straight line to snap into place. What is wrong with adding that button back into the annotation mix? I am sure I am not the only one who was dissapointed in this automatic new version. Is there a way to go back to the earlier…

Writing on am image be writing on the image itself
When annotating an image that I imported onto the note, it would be amazing that if/when I move the image that whatever I wrote would move with it as if I wrote on the actual image itself. Currently, I could use the lasso tool but that seems very clunky for such a smooth interface such as Goodnotes

Making site more accessible
Hello, I really enjoy your site. I work at a community college with students with disabilities and I refer students often. I noticed when I ran your site through wave.webaim.org and there were a few areas that could be easily fixed. I am requesting that you use the site to improve the accessibility.

Integrated Stock Image Search (Unsplash, Shutterstock, etc.)
We really need to provide an online image feature similar to the one shown in the picture. It needs to be like a GIF, and it's very much needed.

Einfaches kopieren von Wörtern
Gerade ist es so, dass wenn ich eine PDF eingefügt habe ich nur sehr umständlich
einzelne Wörter markieren kann um diese dann z.B. zu kopieren.Ich muss erst das Textfeld erstellen Symbol auswählen
Dann kurz die linke Maustaste gedrückt halten und kann dann erst markieren.
Und wenn ich das Wort dann markiert habe funktioniert die Tastenkombination Str + C nur bedingt.Und außerdem ist es sehr schwer die richtige Zeit zum Mauszeiger bewegen zu finden da oft einfach ein Textfeld erstellt wird oder garnicht markiert.
(Keine Ahnung wieso das so kompliziert ist)Kann ich nicht einfach wie in einer PDF…

Undo/Redo Buttons
Please bring back the undo and redo buttons in the macOS version of Goodnotes. It is dearly missed by this teacher that uses Goodnotes for instruction.

Infinite canvas is not searchable
The infinite canvas currently does not export as a searchable pdf file. When we export the file, it works like a picture which gets pixelated when we zoom

Toggle that allows a Shaded Shape Without Outline
Please bring back the ability to erase the outline while keeping the shaded fill after using the “hold to perfect shape” feature. It was super useful for creating clean shaded boxes and diagrams. A toggle to separate fill and outline would be amazing!

Typing
I would like to report an issue I’m experiencing while editing text on the iPad version of your app.
When I select or edit a text box, the floating formatting toolbar appears directly over the text I’m working on. This makes it difficult to see the content underneath, especially when the text box is near the top of the page. The toolbar does not automatically reposition, and I cannot move it manually, so it constantly blocks my view.

scan text from images and books for goodnotes AI
I import a lot of older books and text images from classes, but in order to use goodnotes AI, the words in the imported PDF need to be actual text.
MacOS does it well in preview, but I can't export it as embedded text from the image scan, so I'll have to resort to janky online tools that take forever to read the images then ultimately import it again to goodnotes.
I've seen some occassional messages from the AI sidebar asking if it can read it, but it never does and the message is sporatic anyway. How can goodnotes read…

Text Doc export
Add an option to easily export a text doc AS A TEXT DOC and not as a PDF.

Auto-refine/handwriting error
I’d like to suggest that GoodNotes add an auto-refine or handwriting smoothing feature that subtly corrects small imperfections in handwriting without changing the user’s natural writing style.
Currently, when writing with the Apple Pencil using the ballpoint pen, I’ve noticed that the strokes sometimes add unwanted flicks or extra lines at the end of letters, which makes the handwriting look less clean and natural, this is extremely irratating as on other app my handwriting doesnt appear to be like that. Even with the stability setting at zero, it still happens, and it disrupts the flow of writing, especially for users…
