Dynamic/ compact tool bar
I think there should be a smaller version of the tool bar that doesn’t take much space in screen
dynamic option will be a great addition because it allow us to customize the tool bar however we want for example making it smaller, auto hide feature (like the one in notes app in iPad).40 votes -

Shape tool that works similar to Microsoft Word's shape tool
Have a second shape tool, or maybe an option in the current one, that works like the Microsoft word shape tool. Choose a shape from a predefined, yet extensive, list. Be able to choose outline and fill color (including clear), and maybe even opacity. Once it's placed on the page allow scalability of the whole shape, rotations, and even adjusting points on the shape to make warped shapes. Included here should be arrows, a line, and a dotted line.

Make rulers and compasses available
I want a ruler that moves on GoodNotes according to the magnification of the note. Sometimes I want to draw a line that is accurately lengthed in your notebook. I also want a function that allows me to draw a circle centered on a certain point.

Presentation mode in split screen
I use GoodNotes for teaching (and it‘s great for that). However I‘d love widgets like timers for students. I use classroomscreen.com for timers and soundlevel sensors, which are oddly specific requirements for teachers. So I don‘t think features like these will be implemented.
If I could use the presentation mode while in splitscreen, I could show timers/other widgets on one side, while not losing space in my GoodNotes document. Also I don‘t want students to see messages popping up on my screen.5 votes -

sync between devices in real-time
I've found that when I have Goodnotes open on my Mac and iPad, the syncing is very slow - I like to add pictures on my computer and then write notes on my iPad; however, it can take up to 30 minutes for the pictures I paste from my computer to show up in the iPad version of the app... would it be possible to add a button/feature for us to sync in real-time for the specific documents we're working on?

Set more custom default fonts for the text box
It would be nice to be able to set more custom default fonts, like the handwriting mode already has. This can be efficient when there is often a need to separate the headline from the body text.

auto linking to have a turn off option
i noticed that they implimented for goodnotes to create an auto link whenever you type “.com” at the end of anything which is very frustrating when i am not trying to attatch any links. i have to click the link to unlink it only for it to come back the second i continue typing. Can you create a feature in the settings where this feature can be turned off?

More text templates
I frequently use different fonts for titles, the body of my text, subtitles, and also, depending on the notebook I am using. Could you create a feature that let us save more than one default text so that it is easier to change the format of the things I mentioned above? I find the lack of this feature to be the most frustrating thing with Goodnotes. Otherwise, I love the app. Thanks!

Move further the page in zoom window.
Make us able to drag the page further in zoom window. It’s hard to write at the end of the page.

Stylus sensitivity needs lower bound setting to control how firm you have to press before ink is laid down.
I think the reason for so many questions about handwriting looking spidery or messy is that the sensitivity settings do not have a lower-bounds option. What I mean is that as well as the maximum pressure, there should also be the lowest pressure at which any pen creates any mark. I can just rest my stylus under it's own weight and it creates a clear mark. We should be able to adjust the lower bound setting so that we can control how firmly we have to press before any 'ink' is laid down.

1 Outline but Curated From Multiple Documents
It would be wonderful to create a file (A) that allowed me to compile pages from many other documents/files (B, C, D.....) into file A's outline instead of copying and importing into file A. This would help tremendously with research papers and consolidating information on one topic from multiple sources.

Open multiple instances of document
In addition to the multi-tab functionality already in GoodNotes, it would be very useful to be able to open multiple instances of the same document at the same time. An example use case would be flipping between textbook chapters and tthe problems at the end of the chapter. Currently bookmarking provides a way to make it easier to flip back and forth between sections of a text, but it's clunky and much less convenient, and I often end up using my computer instead.
