Index Written / Highlight
It would be nice if there were a way to index all pages written and make them available where one finds Thumbnails / Favorites / Outlines a way to go quickly review and find.
I will use when I have a normal document with a lot of pages, and I have to write some notes, o highlight something, and then quickly find in the documents my notes.

writing or making pictures, rectangles, circles,... opaque/translucent
When adding a picture or drawing a box, form,..., there is an option to make it either opaque or translucent with grading in percentage. Also, writing in translucent would be also very nice for several works.

change pen thickness after writing without changing size
When the writing is too small or the pen thickness not thick enough, one can change the size of the writing separately of its thickness. Now it is only possible to select the whole area to make the ratio bigger or smaller, i.e. the whole word becomes bigger and thicker at the same time. It would be nice to be able to change size and thickness individually, e.g. bigger and same thickness or same size but thicker lines.

resize written area in order to be able to write next to it on the empty space
The written area, for example, can be resized (e.g. text field previously over the whole page, afterwards only on the left side). That would make it possible to write or take notes next to the previous text field without having to move the sentence parts individually so that there would be some space to take notes again.

Lock an object size while rotating
When you rotate an object after using the lasso, it is not possible to keep the size because the functions are mixed. Resizing and rotating should be two functions or you need to be able to lock the size while rotating.

highlighter function that allows you to embed notes within the text
There’s an extension on google chrome that allows you to add notes to highlighted text. Once the note is added, it’s hidden but you can access it again by clicking on the highlighted text or going to your dashboard.

"Move to next page" Button to quickly move selected text between pages
Hello,
I like GoodNotes concept of having multiple pages instead of one infinite one, but I find it too hard to quickly move text between pages.
This is why I suggest adding a "Move to next page" button that pops up once I move part of the selection outside of the page's borders (see attached image for a demonstration of how this could work).

Preset, hand drawn images
It would be nice to have a hand-drawn image/symbol gallery. For example, writing out your own formulas/diagrams and being able to save them at the top of the page in the tool bar (just like how there's a photo option that comes from your camera roll).
Having your own drawn images/formulas etc, would be a lot quicker for the user instead of re-writing out or copying/pasting each time when you need to use a specific shape/image/formula etc.

Please consider this recommendations
I am a new user I really enjoy this app but there are some features that will be handy for all for us users of Goodnotes 5. Starting with a setting of margins for the templates ( I print my notes to put them on a binder and some of my notes gets cut of with the hole puncher), a ruler (this will be super handy, I know I can use the shape tool but there's people that work with measurements)

Button in the transform dialog to replace the selected handwriting directly with the transformed text
Recognition of mathematical formulas/symbols/etc.

pen thickness automatically changing with zoom-in ratio
It would be great if the thickness of the pen can be automatically adjusted with respect to the zoom-in ratio, so that the pen thickness displayed on the screen stays the same.

Rename favorites
In GoodNotes 4 it was easy to rename a Favorite that has been assigned to a page. This is helpful to navigate through a large number of pages. In GN 5 I only get a list of thumbnails with page numbers, which is useless, unless I can figure out the content of the respective page from the thumbnail view.
It cannot be too difficult to bring this feature back. The names that I have assigned in my old GN 4 documents are even shown now in GN 5! Since the day GN 5 came out, I waiting for this feature…2 votes -
clipart storage
I like the idea of having a storage on camera button that has a drop-down menu to store clipart a person uses. For example in physics I use this clipart of a car or buildings alot to help quickly have free body diagrams. Having a drop-down menu of tables, pictures, and other tools saved for quick access would nice versus having to constantly copy, paste, or crop

Add option to always display pages in full width when opening notebooks
When you open a notebook pages are initially displayed in full height. First thing you have to do is double tap to make the app use the available space of the display. I use A4 paper format, not GoodNotes standard.

Standard page number like PDF documents
What we would like is the page number like PDF documents. The page number in Roman numerals like i, ii, iii, iv, v, vii, should be support to display on the several starting pages, so that the following pages could have right page number matched with the real. I know that you just added a new feature about page number, but I don’t think it’s very useful. This request to support PDF page number display is more useful.

Unselect selection tool
I love the new option with the eraser where it snaps back to the pen or highlighter tool once you are done with it and I think it would be great to see that with the selection tool too.

Print selected pages from pages overview & print without background
It would be awesome if the print feature could be expanded. Especially being able to print a selection of pages and being able to choose whether to include the background (as in the pdf export) would be super duper awesome!
