1. Lining Up Text and Other Media

   I would love if there was a way to put your text boxes in certain places automatically or know your text is centered on the page. My idea for being able to do this would be maybe a button, or similar to Snapchat and Instagram stories, lines could pop up to let you know your text is in the middle of the page or centered at the top of the page. It can be a little frustrating when trying to line up texts with other text, place titles perfectly in the center, or even trying to line up things you’ve lassoed with other parts of your note/page.

2. sound of chalk writing on blackboard

   Love the app. I use it to teach computer science and mathematics subjects to college students in online mode. For the math course, at present I start with an empty white background and write on it. I was wondering if it would be possible, using your app, to recreate the experience of teaching on a blackboard by simulating the sound that the chalk makes on the blackboard, so that when I write on a black background template (with white color pen), if I enabled this option, then the students will hear a sound whenever my apple pencil is writing on the surface. That would be cool!

3. Make the flashcards fullscreen and ability to move the line dividing the Question and Answers up and down

   Currently flashcards aren't full screen so the answers look very tiny

   Also please add the ability to move the line dividing the Question and Answers up and down cause some answers are too big to fit in that small space

4. While writing, Pen tip should be highlighted with circle

   It will be much helpful while presenting screen, or making recorded notes.

   Viewer will easily be able to see, where my pen tip is now, and for which statement I am currently talking about.

5. Reopen last Notebooks on Goodnotes Mac

   I use to have 3 or 4 notebook opened (as tabs), on the iPad when we open Goodnotes we are on the last state (with notebooks already opened), on the Mac each time I open Goodnotes I start with a blank stage, on folder page and nothing opened.

6. Add Pages Number on the Notebook to see it when printed

   I read the Support comment:
   "The latest update GoodNotes 5.5 is now available on the App Store. While scrolling through your document, you can now see the current page number and the total number of pages in this document. If you don’t like to see the page numbers, you can disable it in Menu > Settings > Document Editing."

   It's great but with this new suggestion I mean ADD as a part of the Notebook on every page, not just when scrolling. This would allow us to easily see the page whether the Notebook is printed. It also can help in creating a Index for the document.

   If I want to export the document as pdf now, I then have to use other software to add the page number to the already exported pdf file.

7. Preset that conbining pen style, color, thickness and other pen settings

   Just like creating unique pen by myself, which will be convenient in particular occasion， instead of setting everyting any time we switch to another occasion.
   It's the same with other tool, but pen is the most important.

10. Making the Line Spacing adjustment slider more user friendly

    I adjust the line spacing pretty frequently, and it's really difficult to get it to a precise level.

    The slider will almost always shift once you lift your finger or pencil from the iPad. This same problem also happens if you're using a Mac with a trackpad. It wouldn't be as big of an annoyance if the + and - buttons adjusted the slider at a better rate. On the Mac, one click on either button only adjusts the value by 0.01 pt.

    Personally, I think it'd be a lot easier for the user if you could manually enter the pt value. For example, you could start off with the slider to get a rough estimate. Then manually enter a similar value to get it a little closer. After that you could use the + and - buttons to get it right in perfect spot

11. Auto close oldest tabs

    After the numbers of tabs gets too big (I.e. >10) , add a setting that lets the app auto close the oldest tab to keep the tab count manageable.

12. Having a setting to move the undo button to the magnifying screen

    I am suggesting to add a setting to be able to more the undo and redo buttons to the magnifying screen for easier access. When writing notes in class it slows you down to have to go to the top of the screen to undo. I believe that this is just a apple pencil gen 1 problem since we do not have the double tap feature.

13. More robust and cleaner smart shapes

    Hello guys, I've been using both notability and goodnotes for over almost 2 years now and i still cant crown one over another, but goodnotes is wayt closer to being the king over notability due to the versatility of the app, custom paper, tools, etc, but theres a tool that i use everysingle day, and that it is soooo much better on notability than on goodnotes, and thats the hold to snap / auto shape tool
    I know we already have the snap to other shapes feature, but that is basically useless unlessyoure using lines..
    I would like for you to implement some kind of powerfull shape edition after snaping it,
    - like creating 3 or 5 points across a curve so i can edit the radius, shape, lenght of the curve
    - the ability to change the radius and to snap the center of a circle into someting..
    - the ability to make all shapes and lines “talk” with each other in the same page
    - basically it would all come to the points in wich a shape/line is divided, so i can play with those points between circles and curves and arrows and so on, check how the pink lines are always trying to make the circle centered with something or with the top of the circle straight with another point. And when i move a point of the circle, it only grows from that point and not from the center, wich is also pretty usefull as the center is the least used reference.. i can replicate in video if you want, but ill show you a few examples in notability. I know the expample is just with a circle, but every shap can do the exact same thing, and i think it is the most usefull thing from notability, way above the audio notes and so

14. Using mouse cursor to select words.

    In some pdf, the words are well formatted. Therefore, I thought it would be much easier for us to use mouse cursor or trackpad to select the word for copy and paste or translation.

15. Zoom window shortcut

    where is the ink color selector in the zoom window in GoodNotes 5? :( Zoom window on GN4 was way better then GN5...
    That's why I'm still on GN4.
    It was your strongest point over others app.... Very sad.. not every one want to haver a big iPad that Don fit on a bag, or have resource to have one... In my case, going all up to the screen change the pen color, to make an obs in diferente Collor, it a sux kind of UX.@

    GoodNotesApp If you want I can make a comparison video showing the difference on UX at this point. On reddit u can see a lot of customers very sad with the promise of 2 years a go of some solution on GN5 on this point.

17. web-based access to GoodNotes account?

    I run an organisation that uses GoodNotes as our digital white-board app for hybrid Zoom and in-person classes. Due to switching from a single Zoom license to Zoom Rooms for our organisation i've had to create a new GoodNotes account for our in-classroom iPads, which all sync nicely amongst themselves now that i've created a organisational Apple ID. The notes from these classes now no longer sync with my GoodNotes app on my laptop (as my laptop uses my personal Apple ID. As I sometimes forgot to email the notes from each class to myself at the end of the day, it would be extremely useful for me to be able to login to the GoodNotes website, enter my work Apple ID and download the notes as PDFs so that I can send these to my students. Is there another way to do this? I thought I could log out of my personal GoodNotes app, but I can't, as it's tied to my personal Apple ID, and the only way I can access the notes on our classroom iPads is to physically email (or airdrop) them to my laptop, which I often forget to do at the end of a long day. Any workarounds?

18. Sinusoids and other graphs

    I'm an engineering student who uses Goodnotes for his note taking in class. The thing I miss the most in Goodnotes is plotting non linear functions such as exponentials and sinusoids.

20. quicker copying of pictures

    When I have my lecture slides open and I create a snapshot from a picture, I always have to - share - copy to clipboard - paste. This is complicated and feels unnatural. Nice would be a simple copy and paste.
