    Please provide the option to change the thumbnail size of the documents and the pages in the documents.

  4. IMPROVED SEARCH FUNCTIONALITY

    The search function within GoodNotes is a failed system. Anyone who has used GoodNotes and Notability knows that the search function of Notability is FAR superior. You can search for phrases, search within specific dividers and subjects, etc.

    If I were to search for “green house gases” in GoodNotes it would pull up every result for “green,” “house,” and “gases” in every single note stored within GoodNotes. It turns something that should produce 5-10 results into 500 results and renders the search completely useless.

    All I’m asking for is the ability to place words in brackets and pull the results…

  5. Subscript and superscript, and bullet point in typing

    It would be much better if the typing function of the app allows typing of subscript and superscript for typing chemical formula and maths equation. It would also be nice if we can align our typing with some bullet points or numbering

    ability to add links in Notion to notebooks or even specific pages in Goodnotes 5, maybe even allowing backups over Notion so you can view them on PC and Android through Notion as opposed to e.g. Dropbox

    I want to make a digital scrapbook and would love to see some glitter and metallic pens. Microsofts One Note has them but your app is better.

    Add a smart eraser that can erase only certain colours or just highlights

  11. Variable size eraser

    Implement an eraser which size it covers gets bigger as erase strokes are faster and bets smaller when the eraser is moved slowly. Thus we can erase quicker bigger area but still have precise eraser when we move slower.

  12. Tape Feature Expansion

    I suggest an addition to the tape feature that would allow the user to cover/uncover all of the tape on the current page. This would be extremely useful in slides such as anatomical diagrams, which have many possible areas to cover and study. This feature would immediately remove the repetitiveness of having to go back through and individually re-cover names.

    When the device is on dark mode, have text and pdfs invert colors (similar to apple notes and new dark mode on notability).

  15. INTERNAL HYPERLINK

    It would be so useful to have the possibility to create internal hyperlink in the same document or through more documents of goodnotes.
    so if I clicked on the word of the hyperlink, I would go directly to the page of the hyperlink.
    I hope you'll make up this feature

  16. STREAMLINE

    Please add a type of "streamline" for each pen type that is adjustable so it would fit each individuals needs and wants.
    It would improve handwriting which would prevent me from spending so much time during note taking to go back and rewrite things and it would make the notes that I do write much easier to read. It would make notes more aesthetically pleasing and legible which would save time. It is an easy win win win situation.

  17. Flash cards are too small when studying

    Flash cards are too small. On the iPhone, I can barely see the print/diagram and in landscape mode it's nearly impossible. On the iPad, they're large enough that I can make out the diagram.

    The flash card is not taking advantage of the full width of the screen in study mode. It's using the bottom half of the screen to display the answer instead of flipping the card.

    I attached a PDF showing the screens for both the iPhone and iPad. I, also, took screenshots of another flashcard app to compare and contrast.

  18. More streamlined balpen for better handwriting

    I would love an option for more smooth and streamlined handwriting like in procreate. I use GoodNotes mainly for handwriting and sometimes writing on an iPad can get a little wobbly

  19. Flattened PDF Export Should Retain Outlines/Bookmarks & Hyperlinks

    I see that outlines and bookmarks are preserved if you select "Editable" in the export options, but I would like these things to be preserved for "Flattened" PDFs too.

    In other words, it would be great if outlines, bookmarks, and hyperlinks would be preserved in exported PDF when the file format is set to “Flattened” in the export options.

    This is because (1) only "Flattened" PDFs include the embedded handwriting recognition layer upon export, and (2) "Flattened" PDFs are significantly smaller (and don't lag in other PDF viewers, like "Editable" PDFs do).

  20. Enable hyperlinks!

    Notability - you drag and drop a url in. You can then click on the link and open in a browser.

    Goodnotes - it just copies plain text from the webpage. Urggh.
