1. Google Chrome Extension

   It would be great if you could add an extension for google chrome where by you can 'send' something to your GoodNotes ios app.

   For example.

   In am currently researching for a large essay. I use chrome on my PC and GoodNotes on my iPad Pro. I would LOVE to be able to look at a PDF, or a section of website and 'import' this into goodnotes in the same way you can do if using chrome on the iPad.

   Currently, i have to find something i like, then 'send' it to chrome on the iPad, then open chrome on the iPad, then open the page, then find whatever it was i wanted to import into GoodNotes, then go through the import process.

   I could cut a lot out byu simply 'importing' it from the Chrome browser on the PC straight into GoodNotes on the iPad.

   Other software can do this, for example OneNote.

   Sorry if this is a bit confusing, im very dyslexic so struggle to put thoughts onto paper.

2. single finger erase

   Hi!

   Goodnotes is amazing, it transformed my ipad experience. The one gripe I have is that it is really cumbersome to switch between pen and eraser. I suggest that when the stylus is used, and "single finger drag" is turned off, I should be able to turn on "single finger erase". So write with stylus, erase with finger, drag with two fingers.

   Hope this is a small and easy feature... I'd definitely pay for it!

3. 2 pens instead of 1

   I have a simple idea to provide to pen icons above because during the lecture while changing color of writing pen takes some time . Having 2 pens we dont need to open color menu again and again to select the color. We can do it just by tapping

4. Other sync options (Dropbox, Google, Box, etc..)

   Other sync options (Dropbox, Google, Box, etc..) I have iCloud blocked by a policy installed so I can access my job email in the iPhone. This has completely restricted the sync option for me .. seems like a very good idea to give alternate syncing options for probably even more reasons than just this one that happened to me.

7. Reduce size of PDF option

   Reduce size of PDF option.. I have retina and 1 PDF send is 2 mb!!

   Not zip though... Some tablets cannot open

10. Import recordings from voice memos app and screen recording

    I know for long people have requested for a voice recording facility in GoodNotes. I would like to see the possibility to import recordings through the voice memo app from Apple and also the ability to import screen recordings or videos

11. Highlighting Feature Option

    Add more options to the highlighting function such as
    - square corners (for colouring in)
    - opacity settings
    - turning off the layering when you go over a previously highlighted area

12. Background colors

    I think it would be great to support solid background colors. For example black, so I could draw in white. You already have a fabulous palette of colors for the pen. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has laboriously colored in blank space with one color to then drawn on top. Thanks!

14. Revert to old UI!!!

    Please go back to the most previous UI. This new UI though more simplified, is more tedious to work with. I like the implementation of when you copy a photo, it directly sizes it from a corner instead of proportionally sizing everything. However, once you click off that image, you have to go back to the pen which wastes time during fast lectures.
    The new text box interaction is also tedious since you have to hold down and click ‘start editing’ instead of just clicking a button to text on the whole page. And if you do just a small text box then tao out of it, it automates to the pencil again making you have to go back to the text box tool - yet another time wasting function.
    And most annoying: the voice recordings. It is incredibly tedious now to find and play your voice recordings - and the new UI which hovers over your page takes up too much space. It was more effective when it would just show up on the tools bar. I’ve had many instances where I’m listening, and then tap out and have to re-find it on this new UI.
    PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK

15. Please implement the Smart Script Features in iPadOS 18 Notes App in GoodNotes

    Can you please expand the intelligent GoodNotes 6 AI handwriting Tools with additional tools, showed at Apples WWDC 24 in the Notes App (SmartScript). I would like to see these features in GoodNotes, such as:

    1. My favourite feature: An in GoodNotes integrated AI Model that automatically improves your hand writing style in your personal writing style, as you write with Apple Pencil in GoodNotes.

    2. Also very important for me: An AI Feature that can transform your typed text into your handwritten Notes in your own writing style, if you paste the typed text in GoodNotes.

    3. An feature that enables the option to add something to your handwritten Notes, by tap and Holding it with the Apple Pencil to move the handwritten text and make room for the additional Text.

16. [Links] Add page number when uses links

    When using links and it comes to selecting page - we should be able to type in the page number instead of scrolling thru the whole document to select page.

    It would be great to have an option for dictionaries, so when we read some PDFs in a foreign language, we can make notes and just click and translate if needed.

    I know there are reading apps to do that, but they don´t provide as good tools for notes as yours...

18. Improving Flashcard Functionality

    The flashcard feature is great but there are a few features that I would like to see:

    1.) Ability to switch the Q&A sections

    After a few weeks of using this feature, there are times when I would like to flip the Q and A section of the flashcards.

    2.) Convert any page into a flashcard

    I've created a PDF file (around 60 pages) to be turned into flashcards and was hoping to be able to import it and just convert it from there. This was not possible and I had to make a template for each page, set it as a flashcard, and then put it a notebook, just to be able to use it a flashcard.

    3.) Being able to select with flashcards will be studied.

    My flashcards also serves as my notes and I keep similar notes in one notebook. I would like the ability to choose which flashcards to include in a study session and which ones to exclude. Maybe integrate it into the outline feature?

19. Ability to create custom saveable drawings/shapes

    It would be nice if I could reuse certain drawings/shapes that I've previously drawn, for example saving a certain graph setup (e.g. having axis labelled with distance vs. time) and then be able to choose from my saved shape menu and input it into the document I am working on now.

20. Erase with a Gesture while using the Pen Tool

    Gestures would erase lines without switching to the Eraser. Allow a variety of gestures: scratch back and forth, make a proof-reader's delete stroke etc. Ideal would be a way to define your own gestures.

    This is a feature at least one other (left nameless) drawing app has, and makes writing/drawing really fluid.
