Move pictures / photos
By using finger and holding, it should be possible to move pictures and photos from one page to the next rather than copy, insert on new page, delete on old. That is really awkward.

Request for spread display function
I am a user living in Japan.
There is a request. It is a function to display in a spread. This is not about spread views. I want to display two consecutive pages like a book in one app. It will be very convenient when reading one document on the horizontal screen of the iPad.
I am not good at explaining in English, so I attached an image file.Thank you for the great app. I will continue to use it.

Recognize text on a photo
A lot of helpful diagrams are from imported from my photos, having the ability to search words that appear on a photo would be helpful. It really sucks having to go through every single folder and picture just to try and find the one I am looking for.

Zoom out - See 2 then 4 then 8 (...) pages in one view
Instead of going to the thumbnails menu, just do a zoom out to see two pages in the same view, instead of one; then if done again you can see 4 pages and then 6, then 8 and so on.
Important detail is that, let's say you have the view for 8 pages in your screen, if you do the gesture to see the 'next page' you see the next 8 pages, so you can navigate much faster within the document.

Highly customizable and hideable snapping grid
I know a lot of snapping grid request have been proposed but I wanted to propose something more specific.
One of the feature that I love with GoodNotes is the ability to create our own templates with precise format. I attached a file as an example.
I created a lot of different templates with grids on them. But depending of the templates the size and the position of the grid differ.
So what could be great is to have the ability to create snapping grid with :
- custom colors;
- toggle hide/show (hiding would be useful for not overlaying existing grid…

Text box tool is currently a weak link
The text box tool NEEDS to default to a font size and line spacing/placement that works with the default template line widths. Obviously the app focusses on nailing handwriting, but its occasionally useful to drop in a quote from another app or throw in some hastily-typed notes -especially on the Mac app. Microsoft OneNote is pretty bloated, but it gets typing within a space right. I’d encourage you fine folks to look into more advanced text boxes and tools like bullets/numbers, tables, maybe markdown? -especially as ipad keyboard/mouse setups are becoming more common. We need an option to choose for the text to fit naturally to the lines of templates that have lines to type on. It would be great that when we change the chosen font, it would adapt and still fit in the line.
It's too troublesome trying to find the right font to fit into the lines, and I still cant find my perfect font and font size to do that.

Optical Character Recognition for All PDFs
I constantly am uploading PDFs to GoodNotes, but unless the PDF comes with OCR, then I cannot search the text within the PDF. Notability has this feature, and automatically makes all of the PDFs OCR compatible. If GoodNotes could add this feature that would be amazing, because as a student, I’m constantly uploading files and needing to search through them.

Edit image >> round corners; change exposure, saturation, brightness; bring to back front
It would be great to have more options of editing images:
Prioritised order —
* able to change order PLEASE (send to front or back)
* rounded corners (roundedness can be scalable)
* edit image (exposure, contrast, saturation, brightness, etc....)

It would be useful if we could insert small little boxes in our notes\ pdfs, that when pressed would open a bigger box where we could put our extra informations, like in the image below

More Intuitive Color Picker
Right now, it is a little bit complicated to choose new colors in GoodNotes 5 since one has to tap on several menus to arrive at the color wheel. I wish there would a a feature that'd show previously used colors in a palette, down there the usual colors. (Also: adding colors to the palette is confusing! And the hexadecimal RGB-Code shows the value "#ffffff' no matter what color until you move the color picker.)

Resizing Based on Corners, Not Center
Suggestion: Have the opposite corner as the pivot point when adjusting the size (how all document editors have it)
Currently: Center of the image as the pivot point.
Reasoning: To adjust images to the same size as the one next to it without having to constantly reposition the item

macOS share system extension
macOS version desperately needs to be included in the share menu so apps can send data to Goodnotes e.g send webpage content and share PDF to be imported into GN5.

Bigger Thumbnails in GoodNotes 5 (GN4 had bigger thumbnails)
GoodNotes 5 has adopted the use of very small thumbnails, which almost obviates the intent of being able to easily select a relevant page.

More color select "circles" (swatches) / customizable toolbar
I have an iPad Pro, there's lots more space in my toolbar for more than 3 "circles"/swatches to quickly select colors. If I could remove icons I never use (such as Detail view, image and presenter mode), there would be even more space. Right now, I'm always using 7-8 colors simulaneously, having to switch constanly is rather annoying.

Hallo :)
ich fände es schön, wenn man den Seitenhintergrund von mehreren Seiten gleichzeitig wechseln kann, da dies handisch sehr mühsam ist und bei mehr als 20 Seiten super lange dauert! z.B wenn man ein neues Seitenformat benötigt.
Außerdem wäre es cool, wenn man kleine Tabellen einfügen kann.

Auto-deselect highlighter please
Like for the eraser, please add the option to deselect highlighter. The main purpose of this app is for annotating with pen, not simply highlighting. Like the eraser, it’s frustrating having to tap the pen every time I finished highlighting.
Like for reading a long book, after highlighting a good quote I want to be able to go back and annotate straight away.
This small addition would be very helpful.

Checks every handwritten word for mistakes and gives a small hint, that something might be written wrong

Add transparency and clipping to Pictures
Theres should be an Option to provide basic image-filter, transparency and clipping options for images. Perhapst an option to scan a paper directly from camera and transform perspective distortion.
