Currently, the screenshot process is cumbersome, as users must manually crop the image after each capture, which is inefficient.We suggest adding a screenshot pen that allows users to directly draw a selection box around the desired area. Once the area is selected, the system would immediately capture that region, eliminating the need for additional cropping steps and significantly improving usability and efficiency.

We hope that the button used to return to the desktop, as well as the button for selecting files from the desktop, can be made repositionable.
This would help address the issue on iPad where, in Split View mode, these buttons are obstructed by the window control buttons, preventing users from returning to the desktop while using split-screen mode.

I have a personal goodnotes and a school goodnotes but I can never interchange between the two, can you guys make a feature where 2 goodnotes accounts can sync notes cause the document collab doesnโt work on my school account

In Goodnotes 7.0.6, to get a perfectly straight underline I must use Pen/Highlighter and pause for draw-and-hold on every stroke. This breaks flow when underlining many items per page.Current behavior

upgrade to comment section
comment section in goodnotes is very limited
Trust me majority of goodnotes users are medical students and they uses goodnotes for books mostle sometime for new notes
so when you read and highlight premade books and pdf there is very little space for adding new points and pictures
i want goodnotes team to upgrade the comment section so you can add pdf or pictures to the comment section and enable highlighting in comment section and when comment section popups on clicking on it it should be more larger windows so people can read the pdf/pictures/direct text with hightlights more easily
I mean that you should reorganize the comment section for a greater purpose and believe me it will attract 500% new users especially medical studentscomment section in goodnotes is very limited

Add an option to the document link that will open the linked document to the last viewed page instead of on a specific page number.
Working on multiple projects that have multiple files can be challenging to navigate in Goodnotes. What I would like to be able to do is create an index page that will quickly let me open the files for a particular project. I can do this using document links, and that allows me to keep the logical structure of the project separate from the logical structure of the files. (For example, I might have a reference document that is used in more than one project. I can have it linked on the index page and stored in a โreferencesโ folder, rather than copied into each project folder that uses it.)
When I open a file from a folder, it opens to the last viewed page. When Iโm working on long documents, thatโs exactly what I want. It saves me from paging around and trying to remember where I was โ or trying to remember to set a bookmark right before I close a file.
When I open a file from a link, it opens to a static page selection. I can choose the page, but I donโt want to have to modify the links every time I close a document.
Can you add an option for โlast viewedโ to the page link button?
(Or, better still, can you build a native project management feature that will open a set of documents to the last viewed page with a single button press?)

Copy/paste
With the latest updates to Goodnotes, the Copy function has been buried. The icon on the popup menu is now for Duplicate instead of Copy. If you truly want to Copy (select the item to paste elsewhere) instead of Duplicate (select the item to make a duplicate on that page), you have to click on the three dots and choose Copy. Bring back the Copy icon on the popup menu. No one wants extra work to do something so simple.

Search function in sticky notes
Hello i have been using the new collapsible sticky note function to help with organising my notes into different categories. Previously when i did this with the previous sticky note stickers i was able to use the search function to find handwritten content but now it doesnt recognise handwritten notes on the collapsible sticky notes. I think this feature should improve or the resizable sticky note stickers should come back.

Select all and paste
I used to be able to select all by double tapping or holding in the midst of something I've written, now the option is gone.
I also was able to press and hold in an area to paste something l had copied _ since the update these options are gone and every tune I want to paste this annoying pop up comes up - please never to the way it was before.

For built in comments could you make a section where you could look at all the comments you made throughout the notes and when you click on the comment in the section, it takes you to that comment wherever it is located

We Need a Better Search Function
As much as I love CTRL+F on a keyboard, I can't do the same thing on Goodnotes. I understand that it has some trouble reading messier writing, but even when it successfully finds a word, it does not highlight in a helpful color. I have to search for at least 2 minutes to find it. Also, when you click on the page to go to the found word, the page does not move. Please fix this! It's not helpful!

Shape autofill
I used to use the shape snap feature when writing notes. Previously the shape would automatically fill in with a less opaque colour, and I had the option to erase the filled colour using the erase tool, or leave it but change the colour(both of which I used on different occasions). In the new update I can't erase or change the filled in colour and my only options are to disable the autofill colour altogether, or to just ignore it. I don't understand why this feature was removed.

Deactivate the option โZoom|Add Link|Add commentsโ
While writing, my palm touches the screen and most often the "Zoom | Add comment" option pops up. I've already set up the palm detection, it still doesn't work.
It makes the app completely unusable!
I need a setting to deactivate this option!

Remove filename extensions when importing files into GoodNotes (Mac version)
When importing files such as PDFs into GoodNotes 6 for Mac, the document name keeps the filename extension (e.g., โDocument.pdfโ).
Please automatically strip extensions upon import, or at least provide a toggle in settings.2 votes -

Please allow us to choose image after tapping on desired location like earlier rather than Choosing the image then moving it to desired location as it doubles the work.

Having option panels suddenly appear below when tapping buttons on the top bar feels incredibly counterintuitive and distracting.Iโve never submitted feedback before, but I really believe reverting to the pre-September design would be a wise move.
Do you personally enjoy using an app that keeps covering your notebook while youโre trying to write?Iโve purchased both version 5 and 6, and this redesign is by far the most disappointing change Iโve seen.
Whoever approved this interface clearly didnโt consider actual usability.Please, instead of constantly trying to reinvent what wasnโt broken, focus on maintaining the reliability that made GoodNotes great in the first place.
