Auto-hide new tool drop down
When choosing the tool , the new drop down bar stays there until you click it again to hide it. Can it be made to auto-hide after a couple seconds of not being interacted with?
i.e. click the pen tool and the drop down for pen, eraser, pencil, highlighter shows up and takes up more space.

Request for restoration of the recording function
While attending class, I usually record the lecture and then study again at home by listening to the recording. However, after updating to version 7.0, the following inconveniences have arisen.
First, the recording bar takes up too much space on the screen. Before the update, it was fixed on the top bar, so it didn’t interfere with the slides. But now that it has changed into a bar form, it can’t be minimized, and it just floats around the screen, which is very inconvenient.

[Import] Preselection of import option
The last update brought up the new window which comes up when importing a new pdf document or picture. In that windows you can select if you want to open the document in a new file or put it into an existing notebook. It would be great if you can add a setting possibility to preselect one of these options. I'm never using the possibility to import as a new document but with the new update I'm forced to make a few more clicks now which is annoying.

When importing a file with the same name, GoodNotes currently brings it in as a new document and renames it as “filename 2.”
However, sometimes instead of importing it as a new document, it would be better to overwrite/replace the existing file.When the file being imported has the same name as an existing file, it would be great if a prompt appeared asking whether the user wants to:
Overwrite the existing file,
Import as a new file, or
Cancel the import.

안녕하세요. 저는 수업에 활용하기 위해 굿노트를 사용합니다.
다른 어플이 아니라 굿노트를 선택한 이유는
화면 미러링을 통해 텔레비전에 아이패드 화면을 띄울 때
프레젠테이션 모드에서 진행자 페이지 미러링을 선택하면
학생들에게 다른 인터페이스는 보이지 않기 때문입니다.
특히 스플릿뷰를 통해서 굿노트 옆에 다른 어플을 켜서 활용해도
학생들에게는 보이지 않는 점이 가장 편했습니다.
굿노트 왼쪽에 다른 어플을 두면 새로 켠 어플과 굿노트 화면이 모두 뜨고
굿노트 오른쪽에 다른 어플을 두면 굿노트 화면만 떠서
다양한 방식으로 활용할 수 있는 점이 좋았어요.
그런데 아이패드 업데이트 후에 굿노트를 사용하다가 다른 어플을 스플릿뷰로 켜면
무조건 굿노트와 다른 어플 화면 모두가 미러링된 화면에 노출이 됩니다.

please fix this annoying glitch
Whenever I am writing, and I scroll to above pages and then come back down what I see is the app has God knows how merged the annotation of two pages into one that is the content of two pages suddenly overlaps in one page and there is no way to fix this, you cannot undo this since it is glitch and even when restarted, it is still the same fix this ASAP or refund my subscription. I use this app for academic purpose, and this bug has destroyed my notes

Hi can we bring back the double tap to switch highlighter color? It’s not working on neither of my iPads and I have tried in both with different pencils (pro and 2nd gen). Has it been removed? Or is it a bug?

Swipeable Menus
To making changing between the different menus (i. e. between pen settings, eraser settings) easier and less of a reach, being able to swipe between tool menus to choose different settings would be convenient. For instance, assuming the menu is on the left of the screen and we’re currently on the eraser menu, swiping left from the menu to the edge of the screen (1A) would go to the pen menu(1B). I would like to request a feature that converts typed text into handwriting, similar to Apple’s Markup functionality.It would be great if GoodNotes could analyze the user’s existing handwritten notes within documents and use that handwriting style to convert typed text into personalized handwriting.

Improve Lasso Tool Visibility and Selection Feedback
As shown in the attached images, it would be beneficial to add a movement or animated effect to the Lasso tool so that users can more clearly recognize its motion while selecting an area.
Additionally, similar to the Lasso tool in Photoshop, I would like to request a feature that allows users to visually confirm exactly which handwritten content has been selected when using the Lasso tool. Request for Improved Pencil Writing Feel (Adding Jitter Control and Grit Control Options)
As shown in the attached image, a pencil thickness of approximately 0.3–0.35 mm provides the most comfortable writing experience. When the thickness is set above or below this range, the jitter either becomes too weak or too strong, which significantly reduces writing satisfaction.
For this reason, I would like to request the addition of adjustable jitter control and grit (texture) control options.

Make the pop-up menu that has the font size, color, format a floating menue.
Make the pop-up menu for font color, size, and format float. Whenever I want to adjust or edit a text, the menu box pops up and gets in my way of what I want to change. I flip my screen to try to get around it but the menu is still in the way. I can’t drag it to move it.

Dear Goodnotes Team,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing to share feedback regarding a recent change in the selection tool behavior in Goodnotes Web.
After the latest update, whenever we select elements on the canvas, several options such as Copy, Cut, Transform, Change Color, etc., automatically appear directly on top of the selected content. This makes the canvas look cluttered and makes it harder for both teachers and students to clearly view or reposition the selected items.

Surface Pro Pen Eraser
You guys used to have a feature for my Surface Pro. When I use the non writing end of my pencil it erases. But since the new update it no longer works correctly. When I use the eraser feature it keeps the eraser selected. But it should be switching back to the writing feature when I use the writing side. filled shape without border workarounds no longer work
Up to now there were 2 workarounds to get shapes without borders:
(workaround 1): hit "Undo" as soon as you draw the border (this was the most convenient/faster);
(workaround 2): zoom in to erase the border.

Make tape feature accessible across all versions
Make tape feature available across all versions, considering this app is primarily used by students who utilize active recall, and several users have already paid a one-time purchase fee for earlier versions. Yearly subscription is subpar compared to competing developers who either require a one-time purchase fee with numerous features that are not available on Goodnotes or offer these same features at reduced pricing. Greed gets you nowhere but forgotten.
