greater availability in Latin American countries.
I don't know the situation on iOS, but on Android, GoodNotes isn't available in my Country. I live in Uruguay, a Latin American country with advanced technology. It's a real shame that the app isn't available in much of this region. I'd really like to be able to use it.

Vertical or Floating Toolbar Option
Hi, I would like to leave a suggestion that is very important to me. If possible, could you please add an option to move the Goodnotes toolbar? Currently, it is only available at the top in a horizontal layout, but it would be great to have the choice to position it vertically or even as a floating menu.
This feature would make it much easier to reach tools with the stylus, especially on large tablets where we often write in portrait mode (with the short side at the top and the long side on the side).
I hope you will…

Drop down arrow for color palette
Instead of having the colors set up like Option 1, where we have to scroll left and right to find our colors, can y’all make a feature like the example in Option 2? In this version, the color we’re using would be selected, and if we want to see all our colors or change the color, all we have to do is click the drop-down arrow and the rest of our colors will appear. That way, we can have as many color options as we want without having to scroll left and right to find them.

Can Not View Pages or Outlines
Need to fix the issue of not being able to view pages or outlines when using the window view while recording audio. This was not an issue in goodnotes 6 and is very annoying especially while working on notes in class. You have to switch to the sidebar view to be able to go back to see pages. Very inefficient!

Upgrade GoodNotes 5
Hi!
I’m a student still using GoodNotes 5 and I really love it. ❤️
Unfortunately, not everyone can afford to upgrade to GoodNotes 6, so I kindly ask if you could add a few small updates to version 5 — like more pen settings or simple improvements. Nothing big, just small things to help students like me.
Thank you so much for your amazing app! 🙏✨2 votes -
Hint
I would love to see a hint option added to the study cards. I believe it would add to the effectiveness of the memorizing process for many of us. Sometimes I just need a word or two to get me pointed in the right direction.

The revival of Goodnote 6+5
Goodnote 7 feels like Badnotes.
To improve it, I suggest restoring the following features:• The smooth performance of Goodnotes 5 (especially the instant PDF rendering)
• The toolbar layout from Goodnotes 5
• Keeping the “crumple-to-erase” feature from Goodnotes 6
• Keeping the folder organization feature from Goodnotes 6
I propose releasing “Goodnotes 11,” combining the best features of Goodnotes 5 and 6.

Mark which pages have handwriting.
A new option has been added to mark pages in a document that contain handwriting, making them easier to find when reviewing notes.
This is a current feature of Notability.

Allow .apkg(anki) file for import in study set
Hey goodnotes
I have a problem that please make available .apkg format to import for study set(flashcards)
Because it is 2nd most priority of study that is active recall and
Majority of medical scholar student uses already formed anki(.apkg) flashcards
That is actual too much time taking and also anki community has already made cards of very vast range of subjects and also from many sources so it is more efficient and beneficial to direct import readymade flashcards
And also most of medical student using ipad
And anki for ipad is for 30$

Basic keyboard shortcuts for closing tabs, creating new files/folders, etc.
I would like to see some basic keyboard shortcuts implemented, examples are in the title. Most annoyingly Cmd + W doesn't close a tab but rather exits the document and leaves it open.
Below are some suggestions for shortcuts (shortcuts marked with '*' can be considered extra):
Window/Tab management:
- Cmd + W: closes the current tab
- *Cmd + Opt + W: closes all tabs
- Cmd + Shift + Esc: exits document view
- Cmd + Opt + Left/Right: Go to previous/next tabFile management:
- Cmd + Opt + N: Creates new File
- Cmd + Opt…1 voteAdminGoodnotes (Moderator, GoodNotes) responded
Keyboard shortcuts for quick new notes creation are live 🎉
Hello,
Thank you so much for sharing your suggestion! We’re happy to let you know that new keyboard shortcuts are now live on Apple devices starting from version 7.0.32 released today.
You can now use:
- Cmd + Shift + N to open QuickNote
- Cmd + Option + N to create a New Notebook
- Cmd + N to open a New Window
Feel free to share your feedback and let us know how it works for you!

Full support for keyboard navigation using Tab and Shift+Tab on MacOS
I use keyboard shortcuts quite extensively and would like to see some better support on keyboard navigation, especially in the documents view. So opening, renaming, etc. files can be done without a mouse/trackpad. Maybe implement a toggle for this option, so regular users are not affected by default.

Easier Text Coloring in Txt-Doc.
In a Txt-Doc there should be more tools in the toolbar for important actions like setting the background color of selected Text to a color by just clicking on the color symbol.

Turn off iPad screen when on Goodnotes
When I leave my iPad on Goodnotes it never closes by itself despite my iPad being on the 2 minute shut off time. On every other app it shuts down by itself but Goodnotes. Can we implement something that hinders this? It wastes a lot of battery

margins
Please make the templates editable. For example I like a margin but I find it's too wide. I'd like the templates to be editable such that you can have a smaller or larger margin as needed.

Text Box Issues
When I use the text box, the line height keeps changing. I have to and adjust the line height for each sentence, despite having a set default. I also hate how it goes to Lasso all the time, I never use Lasso. I miss Goodnotes 6 as it was easier to use for someone who struggles with technology.

Flashcard Improvement Suggestion
Enable the full toolbar on flashcards
Allow users to use the same tools as on regular pages: highlighting in color, underlining, bold text, and free writing/drawing. This would make it much easier to emphasize important content and quickly add notes or markings.Support combined text and images on a single flashcard
Make it possible to place both images and text together on one flashcard for better visual learning and more flexible study methods.Detect and indicate duplicate flashcards:
Show a clear warning or indicator when a flashcard is created twice, to avoid unnecessary duplicates and keep decks organized.

Change the text box when you say it in a good way
This update is seriously frustrating.
Why does the tool automatically switch to the lasso tool after using a text box?
The previous version was much smoother and easier to use — now it just feels unnecessarily inconvenient and irritating.
It honestly looks like this change was made without any real consideration for users. And if you’re not even reading App Store reviews but just telling people to “send feedback,”
it really makes us wonder if you actually care about what users are saying.2 votes
