When filming live, white backgrounds are too bright and interfere with the live stream, so I want to invert white to black.

Revert Back Some Item
Need to change back to the way it was before the latest update. Drawing straight lines became really ******. The text box sucks big time. Text box before and how you saved the text box settings was way better before. I do like the drawing arrow features. The way it jumps automatically from text box to lasso sucks big time. I use goodnotes a lot at work (electrician) and ive been pushing more and more people to start using goodnotes in the past. But if this continues the way it is, i highly cant recommend people to jump on goodnotes.…

New Shape Tool: Ability to disable auto-connection of shapes
Please create the option to turn off auto connection of connector lines to pre-defined shapes drawn with the shape tool. I understand this was designed for diagramming but I am picky about my notes being neat, organized, and symmetrical so I really like using this tool to draw my own figures as well as perfect arrows/shapes. However, the auto connect makes it very frustrating and annoying to use because my lines are redirected to connect to nearby shapes and there is no way of detaching them to still draw the lines where I need them to go. Automatically set Highlight to back layer
I noticed that the recent update allows highlighter and other objects to be manually selected and then “send to back”. I like that this feature allows for highlighter to be positioned behind text, but it would be useful if there was an option to have that automatically done or to have the highlighter tool set to automatically send highlighter to back layer once a line is drawn using it. Adding a toggle on the highlighter menu so users can select to automatically have highlighter “send to back” would be amazing.

OneDrive Syncronization (Automatic Backup)
Please add an option to Automatically backup files of folders in OneDrive in Goodnotes 6 as it was before in Goodnotes 5.

Pen thickness adjustment
Allow the pen thickness adjustment have plus or minus options with/without slider
Everytime it's annoying to adjust the slider for 0.05mm thickness with accuracy. It's time consuming to adjust stroke with careful slight movement.10 votes -
Automatic adjustment of internal links
When duplicating a notebook, the internal links should be automatically updated. Currently, you're redirected to the original notebook. It's very time-consuming to have to update each link individually, for example, in an annual planner.

multiple choices for users on cloud synchronisation
actually I use baidu cloud instead of iCloud, so it is very important for me that if it has other choices to synchronize my notes, especially if there is a choice that I can synchronize to Baidu cloud.

Feature Suggestion – Auto-adjusting Highlighter
Hello Goodnotes Team,
First of all, thank you for the amazing app. I use it daily, and it really improves my medicine study routine.
I’d like to suggest a new feature for the highlighter tool:
When I draw a highlight over text, Goodnotes could automatically detect the height of the text (based on the difference between two points) and adjust the highlighter size to match it.
This would make the highlighting process much smoother, since I wouldn’t need to manually select the thickness each time. It could work similarly to how text selection already detects line height, but applied to…2 votes -
Camera for Sharing screen
I would like to be more specific in what I share over a screen. It would be great to have a Window in my file, especially now with the whiteboards, to Zoom in on an area and drag and drop in Items from outside the view of the shared screen. It's like in the App "Whiteboard Explain Everything".

Double toolbar for pen
In the recent update they have some changes in toolbar, by choosing pen another bar will appear below the original blue toolbar, which will take more space for drop-down and leave fewer space for writing. As someone who often have pop-up video view while writing, it’s make me have to work will less space and have to often move the pop-up around a lot. Why don’t they just put the addition pen bar close-able or just put them back in the blue bar originally. 🤷🏼♂️

Text and drawings
I believe it would be amazing if we could have a document such as a text document and be able to draw on top of it. Now with all the new updates you cannot do that except with text boxes. For example, when you are following a class and need to put explanations and grafs or anatomical drawings etc. you must switch from one doc to another or even from one app to another. I believe text boxes aren’t that practical.

Please disable this automatic line changing or increase the limit of words for line change. It doubles the work as again we have to stretch the box to make while text appear in single line.

i can see people use the tools in different sequences - I need the eraser to auto-deselect off pen menu when i

LASSO something, then go back to

[Oct 2025 Update] - Geometric figures
Add the possibility of remove the object area that anchorages writing, forms to a form.
This new feature doesn't allow drawing over some figures and makes the drawing experience terrible on goodnotes.
Let the user choose in he needs the area or not.It would also be nice to be able to draw geometric shapes that are more similar to those drawn by hand.

Hold and Fill Color, Deletion of the outlines
When you draw something and hold, there'll be a faded color of your pen inside the shape. The latest update make me couldn't delete the outline of the shape and that makes taking notes way worseee. I love those more than highlighting. PLEASE BRING IT BACKKKK I BEG.
