Move and rotate paper freely for Left Handed writers.
I'm left-handed, I cannot physically write on the left side of the screen like the whole left third is uncomfortable to write on as the edge of my iPad gets in the way. The inability to move the page around freely beyond frustrating - It doesn't let me move the left-hand side of the page to the middle of the screen so a lot of the time I have to write something on the right-hand side and use the lasso tool to move it to the left.

Images could be mirrored within the edit and cropping options. Allows for symmetrical designs.

Colour coding file
Colour coding folders!! Maybe just a tab or something in the corner, but it’s so much easier to find a folder by colour than by skimming the names.

Tool Position-ing on the side(s) AND Undo button
To be able to position the Tool Bar AND the Undo button on the sides; the newest versions allow to position it on the bottom or top only. I think side placement is more helpful for Apple Pencil Version 1 users as I’m sure we quietly use the undo or eraser button quite a lot.

Erase by specific pen color
I am using GoodNotes and drawing a table with multiple rows and columns to practice for a test. The last row’s change with each exercise. I use a unique pen color for those. It would be great if I could erase by pen color so I can erase the values with a quick swipe and not have to fix the cell borders each time or be more precise with each cell. Thanks!

nightmare editing | improve, text paste | that spans multiple pages
Pasting text which spans more than one page is very difficult to handle as the text which is beyond the bottom of the page, disappears.
So the only way to currently handle this is to :
(a) measure how much text can fit into the page, then
(b) somehow, 'cut' out the text at the bottom which does not fit within the page ( this is not easy to do ).
(c) go to the next page and repeat the above process till all your text is pasted across multiple pages.

For the geometry function would it be nice if we can draw halve circles or bows or something like a sinus-function.

Choose Colors and Pen thickness on iPad Pro in the navbar
While working with an iPad Pro 12" the navbar i kind of empty please add a fast option for color changing. It would be great if you would place about 5 colours directly between the boxwriting and the pen symbol and the pen thickness on the other side!

create own templates and share with others
Give the possibility to create own templates such as project plan, meeting minutes or any other use full template. Just provide a empty page, where users are able to draw/create their own templates with the existing tools (Handwriting, Lines, Boxes, Text, ...). Give the possibility to use that page as privat template.
Additional to the creation of own templates, there should be the possibility to upload the privat templates to a platform, where users can share their experience with others.25 votes -
Please make the "Resize" selection with and unconstrained proportion drag ability
Right now if I try and resize a selected object, the only option is to resize the object on both dimensions (length and width), but I'd like to be able to resize on only one dimension sometimes.
For a good implementation example, see the app "Inkflow"... they have both abilities there. But overall I like your app better so... please implement this feature!

Auto text wrapping from one page to another while copy-pasting
Pasting a large text copied from another source into goodnotes doesn’t automatically moves to the next pages. Only workaround for this is to copying small parts and paste and then move to next page and continue like this. Text should automatically move to next pages if the area is insufficient for that page.

Scribble function on Apple Pencil (handwrite to text) autocorrecting capital letters
Using the Apple Pencil Scribble function to convert handwritten words to typed text in realtime works very well, but it automatically converts capital letters (particularly the first letter of a word that is meant to be capitalized) to lowercase letters. For example, writing “Energy” with a capital E changes the word to “energy” with lowercase e. It also underlines the autocorrected word in blue. Tapping or selecting the word underlined in blue gives no option to change it back to the intended capitalization.
