For pianist or musicians who often notates their music scores and need VOICE RECORDING BASIC FUNCTIONS.

(These are competitive with notability recording feature, i really like goodnotes’ files organisation and hope to stick with it with upgrades…)

1. Ability to trim / edit / split recordings
>- for Musicians
>- for students
>- To record certain progress/lectures on certain topics

2. Ability to have voice record LINK on notebook page itself
>- so as to not scroll through recordings list, hassle to find audio…
>- Example: part of my notebook chapter topic is hand anatomy, the page can implement an temporary/permanent button to play the audio assigned to it

3. Organization of audios
>- audios panel can add categories/topics with audios assigned/unassigned.
>- I have certain parts of the piece that is difficult to play and i can track my progress with it based on past recordings. Organisation will help me track my improvements.

4. Choose recordings icon interface settings (to hide it or unhide it)
>- sometimes you just want record in secret, but also sometimes you need convenience.
>- implement a settings where you can choose to place the record button on the top menu, or a hidden action (gesture or you embed it in one of the bar navigations)

5. An audio menu on the top bar with sub items icon
>- Currently i press record, i struggle to get out of interface to see full page of the notes…
>- just like the pen, upon clicking the icon, theres a dropdown with subitems, good solution for audio settings, seperate the recording button with the audio list.

So far none of any notebooks i find online is useful. Goodnotes already has templates for music scores and it will do wonders to also cover the audience for musicians.

I sometimes forget to stop the recording, ending up with 8+hours of recording and a non-shareable lesson.

I can't believe there is no way to crop or segment audio, if we could at least separate a single clip into two then we could remove extra unneeded audio, =p

It's fantastic to hear that GoodNotes has introduced audio recording! This feature will surely enhance note-taking during lectures and meetings. To make it even better, adding functionality to split recordings would be helpful to manage content more effectively. Custom naming options would streamline navigation, and the ability to export recordings in bulk or individually as .mp3 files would be incredibly convenient for organizing and sharing notes. i agree! i often forget to turn it off and it ends up recording for 613 min and then it becomes really hard to find the location of the current notes🥲🥲

Editing Length of Audio Recording is especially helpful when one forgets to stop the audio, or the audio recorded was interrupted by the surroundings

Yes it needs to end automatically after a while. This is really important.

Also would be helpful if the recording would automatically end when the iPad is closed.

I accidentally didn't turn off my audio recording on my iPad and it has been recording for 5 hours. I want to edit it so that it's only the length of my lecture but there's no option to do so. Please add a way to shorten the length of the recording. Thank you.

Sometimes we users forget to stop the audio recording, and wake up the next day to a notebook that has been recording for 12+ hours. Currently there is no way to trim the audio recording. It would be great if it were possible to trim it so only the part we're interested in remains in the notebook :D

I wish we could edit recordings!! Sometimes i forget to stop the recording in class and after a few hours i notice that it has been recording for a while, I think it would be pretty useful to enable a feature to at least trim the audios we record, thank you.

~It would be better to have multiple audio recording split up, instead of having one huge line of recordings. Having them split up will give the option to pin point exactly the part of the recording you want to go back to.
~Improve the audio recording to go pixel by pixel so the notes are better synced together with the voice.

For those who forget to stop the audio recording there should be a way to crop audio ASAP like in the next update so we don’t have to delete audio or have a really long audio file that has nothing on it.

I agree, a trimming option would be helpful. I just forgot to turn off the recording and remembered 3 hours later, so right now I either fill my storage or lose the recording completely.

Sometimes I forget to stop the recording when a meeting takes a 15 mins break…I then end up with an extra long recording that could be shortened if we had the ability to edit. This ability would also be useful if there are sections of a meeting that we don’t need and want to bookmark the important sections.

Sometimes I record an audio accidentally or say something that is not useful or maybe record class audio and forget to stop recording while mid class breaks in such cases not having a deleting option and a trimming option ends up adding to my storage unnecessarily.

You can simply forget to switch off recording, ending up with a long audio recording between lectures or meetings - it would be nice to have a functionality to split an individual audio recording in 2. Therefore it will be possible to delete needless ones.

Custom naming of audio recordings will make it easier to navigate between them.

Exporting audio recordings within a single notebook in bulk and individually as .mp3 file would be very convenient as well.
