This drives me crazy so I'm raising it to critical. My suggestion was combined with this one, so I'm adding a comment to this one. I don't think the suggestion of initially doing a double-tap followed by successive single-taps is a good idea. Muscle memory will want one or the other. Additionally, that means that if it's only a single use, you still have to double-tap. I don't want to have to think and break my flow. Just set an option to let the user pick double-tap or single-tap and be done with it.

Change the undo gesture from double tap with 2 fingers to just one tap with 2 fingers, much like in procreate. Because it happens too often that i try to undo several times in a row and it gets like 25% of the undo I try to do, so i have to go and use the undo arrow button, which makes the gesture completely useless.
The Redo gesture should be the same but with 3 fingers. This change will make the undo/redo action a lost faster than the actual. -

Iām sure Iām not the only one that has had countless words erased by this feature. All a lot of us need is a way to disable it, the feature doesnāt even have to be removed completely. There is no position on the iPad where you can avoid it while writing.

Hi.
May I know if we have any ways that we can undo or redo for multiple times once? When we frequently erase and write things, if sometimes we realize the things go wrong and we need to get back to the original text we wrote, we usually need to press undo for loads of times.
If there is currently no such a function can we set, for example, long pressing the undo for a continuous undo action so that we can easily stop nearby the past moment we want?
Thanks!

Simply add more options, for people who would use those.
Like one tap undo/redo instead of double.
Option to hide or move Marketplace button in Notebook templates.
Size of toolbar buttons.
Even color of poiting tool. Also simple Layer System would be nice it would make notes, easier to organize, selection tool an eraser wouldnāt interact with things on other layers.

Adding this option would be really appreciated. I stopped using goodnotes two years ago ONLY because this feature is not available. It makes the writing experience really slow, and as someone who writes a lot, and uses the undo feature a lot, double tapping is really frustrating and that's why I switched to another nota taking app.

I'll really appreciate it if you add these options:
One-tap with two-fingers: Undo.
One-tap with three-fingers: Redo.
Much more easier and convenient.
Thank you! -

Needing to double-tap is an RSI nightmareāshould be an option if only for accessibility purposes.

Totally agree.
Please add this option.
One-tap with two-fingers: Undo.
One-tap with three-fingers: Redo.
Most note-taking and art applications offer this option for us so why is it still not available here in Goodnotes which I consider as the best note-taking app? -

You know there is an undo button, but what if when you tap it becomes a slider, how cool and fast would that be to edit your note.

I use other applications that have the features of single-tap 2 or 3 fingers for undo / redo. It would be REALLY nice if Goodnotes had an option to choose whether to consider single or double-tap choice for the user. Muscle memory goes to heck when I switch between apps. And using the toolbar to select undo/redo is too slow.

And it would be nice to disable the "undo" and "redo" messages when they are applied since it's obvious what is happening and each time just inserts a delay in your flow.

Like Notability, one two finger tap should be able to undo.

When you tap in an iPad with three fingers, a bubble with redo and undo buttons will appear on the top of the screen. It could be useful, however, GoodNotes seems to support only the undo function, while the redo button can never be activated. Iām wondering maybe you can fix this problem.

We can edit what we want to do with the gesture. For example, a two-finger single tap can do something, and two fingers double taps can do something. For myself, I like to undo with two fingers single tap (I always forgot when I use different apps like procreate...)
