Different colour pallets/ groups for writing and highlighters
Have the pen colours and highlighter colours be able to be organised into different colour palettes. Also be able to have different presets for different notebooks!

PDF Accessibility
When exporting PDFs into and out of Goodnotes, accessibility features like alt text on images, reading pane orders, etc. are totally lost. As an instructor, I have been using Goodnotes to annotate pdfs of notes in class, but I cannot post those annotated pdfs because they do not meet our University's accessibility standards. Exporting as editable or flattened files does not help with this.
Creating a PowerPoint and setting up accessibility info. in it is not difficult, and those translate perfectly to Adobe Acrobat and are recognized by Canvas. Ideally, it seems like Goodnotes handwriting recognition could essentially add alt.β¦

Create a workspace alongside the current document
Have you used Liquid Text?
Thay have an amazing feature where it is possible to pull extracts out of documents and display them on a workspace then link the ideas together with drawn lines or links.
Something like this, not the same obviously that worked with extracts, links and tags would be amazing.

Hi, as a language learner, i love the flashcard feature so much! But can you make some features so we can instantly dump our numerous list of vocabulary into one file? Maybe by a simple coding, where we can just copy-paste our list of vocabulary into flashcard. Cause now, it is taking so much time to navigate and make it one by one.

Request to Move All Pen Tools to Fully Floating Toolbars for a Wider Writing Area
I would like to request that all pen tools be displayed as floating toolbars to provide a wider and more comfortable writing area.
I apologize for mentioning other apps, but these days, most appsβsuch as Notability, Noteshelf 3, and Scrawlβuse floating toolbars, which makes writing feel much more comfortable. In contrast, GoodNotes has pen tools and tabs that occupy fixed space first, with an additional floating pen toolbar displayed below them. This results in a lack of writing space and makes the writing area feel narrow and uncomfortable.
I hope GoodNotes can also move all pen tools to fully floatingβ¦

MORE options for study sets please
As a student I very much miss some options for the study set feature:
For example needed are features likeβ¦
- overviewing ALL of the study sets
- Moving cards from one study set to another/putting sets together
- Changing layouts for flashcards
- Import study sets in bulk from e.g. CSV files
- Plan when which study set should be learned
Use tags in study sets and filter for them
Choose which study sets are currently interesting and a βpauseβ function

Straightening for the Highlighter Tool
Since the newest update, the straightening of the highlighting tool has been "improved", i.e. when highlighting and holding at the end of the line, the shape resembles the original handwriting with more details. But that brings a rather glaring downside: when marking, one usually does not highlight in a perfectly straight line but rather with multiple bumps etc. When holding now, the highlighter often is not converted into a straight line through the text but rather a bumpy line with multiple edges and curves. It therefore does not go straight through the text anymore.
It would be lovely, if GoodNotesβ¦

The color of the pencil tool
For some reason, after the recent update, the pencil tool's color has become very light, and there's no setting to adjust it. I hope you can make the pencil color darker, or add an option to adjust its darkness/opacity.

Release iPad storage after syncing
The current version only provides iCloud synchronization function, but after synchronization, the storage space on the device cannot be released like iCloud file management.
It is recommended to add the function of releasing hard disk space after cloud synchronization is completed.

Remove auto-hotbar when using lasso
When you select something with the lasso, and the hot-bar of options immediately comes up, it gets in the way when you're trying to move things to a specific place, it would be much better if it went back to what it was - selecting using lasso, then tapping the selected area to pull up the object options.

erasor tools
After updating goodn0te tools bar in Sep2025 I found one issue which is after changing back from the lasso tools to writing tools, it's always the eraser. Nomatter what writing tools i used before lasso ( such as pen highlight etc), it is always become erasor

Quick access to all pages marked as favourites
Before the latest update there was the option to access an overview of all pages I marked as favourite pages after clicking on the βfour rectangleβ buttom at the top left hand corner.
There the first tab displayed the overview of all pages and THE SECOND TAB displayed the option to quickly access all my marked favourite pages.
Now the second tab is the document outline (which was the third one before) and the third now is an overview of audio files. I almost never need audio files but I need the quick access of ALL my favourites sometimes justβ¦

How to Recover an OST File and Convert It to PST Format in Outlook?
I am facing an issue with an old OST file that I can no longer access because my Outlook profile or Exchange account is no longer available. I have tried opening the OST file directly, but Outlook does not allow it. Can anyone guide me on how to recover data from an OST file and convert it into PST format so that I can access my emails, contacts, and other mailbox items in Outlook again? I am open to both manual methods and third-party tools βjust need a reliable and safe solution.

Select text in a PDF across pages
We should be able to select (i.e., highlight) text from an imported PDF across multiple pages. Not being able to is very limiting.

Stickers placement
Return the way you can place stickers from goodnotes5 into goodnotes6. Itβs weird that it was possible in goodnotes5 to select the sticker tool and then when I press on the page I can choose which sticker tool place but in goodnotes6 I need to create a sticker and only then I need to move it where I want it to be.

Bring back the draw and hold for the highlighter (apple)
Before the update you used to have the option of draw and hold for the highlighter. No you canβt switch it on or off. And the βmandatory draw and holdβ that you provided the highlighter with now is bad. It doesnβt correct the actual wobbles and curves itself but just the last part that comes after the wobbles or nothing at all and it just makes the wobbles more appealing and aesthetically. But its nerve wracking if you mark things fast during lectures and have to fight with not straight lines that sometimes cover the lines below or under. Iβ¦

Format the text and set it as the default style on mac
The option to change the default setting on Goodnotes on Mac DISSAPPEARED. Doing my state exams rn and I need that option back.
