Bring Back the option which allowed you to not select Text Boxes unless you had selected the Tool
Palm rejection often fails. If you are annotating with a pen over a text box it constantly selects the text box (Sometime while I'm writing a word!). There used to be a setting where you could prevent different objects from being selected unless that specific tool was being use (i.e. you could only select a text box when you were using the text box tool)

Feature Request: Display Thinking and Reference Steps in GoodNotes AI Responses
When asking questions to GoodNotes AI, I noticed that during the beta version, the AI appeared to show a visible thinking or preparation process while generating answers. However, in the official release, it only displays “Preparing answer…”.I would like to request that, similar to the beta version, the AI shows more detailed thinking and reference steps, such as what it is referencing and what it is preparing, during the response generation process.

Tip Sharpness, Pressure Sensitivity, and Tip Flatness Options to the Highlighter
I would like to request the addition of tip sharpness, pressure sensitivity, and tip flatness options to the highlighter tool.
With these features, the shape of the highlighter stroke could change depending on the tilt of the pen tip, and setting the tip flatness to 100% could produce a more angular, chisel-like highlighter shape rather than a rounded one.
These controls are essential for achieving more precise, realistic, and professional highlighting behavior, and they would significantly enhance the flexibility and usability of the highlighter tool.

Central task list on user workstation for all ‘selected’ workbooks
I sometimes work with several workbooks in parallel, for example, several projects. I maintain one workbook per project.
It would be great if there were a task function (task type, task, task description, responsible person, deadline, status, task category, relevance indicator in the central task register) that would converge centrally on a user workstation, regardless of which workbook it is in. This would make work much easier. It would allow to-dos recorded in meetings to be managed more effectively without losing track of the big picture.
If it were also possible to synchronise by task type (calendar entry, task entry)…

audio recording accessory
Hi! After the latest GoodNotes 6 update, a small recording bar shows up on the top right when recording audio.
It’s fixed there, and since I’m right-handed, I keep accidentally touching it while writing — which stops the recording 😭
It would be great if we could move it or just have a small recording indicator in the main toolbar instead. That would make note-taking while recording so much easier!Thanks a lot for listening 💙

Making the toolbar floating and removing the option for a fixed version seriously hurts the user experience. Students like us spend hours taking notes and need focus, but the toolbar constantly moves, sometimes overlaps our work, and it slows us down.
There’s a simple solution that makes everyone happy:
• Floating toolbar
• Fixed (classic) toolbarLet users choose what works for them. It’s really that simple.
Please add a “Classic Toolbar Mode.” This change would make a huge difference for many users.

Formula collection "Formelsammlung database"
To be able to create databank of formulas, like a knowledge database of formulas to each subject and also a “mindmap” where you can combine the formulas to see which are connected with each other.
so when you solve a math problem you can link a already created formula so next time you look at your notes you see what formula was used and if it doesnt exist yet you can add a new formula to the knowledge data base of formulas.

Add Two-Page View (Double Page Spread) & Split View for Note-Taking

Thank you for your great app.
I would like to suggest a feature that could improve the user experience.
Currently, Goodnotes displays documents in a single-page view. It would be very helpful to have an option for a two-page spread (double-page view), similar to reading a physical book.
Additionally, it would be very useful to view two pages side-by-side or work in a dual-page (split) mode while taking notes.
This feature would greatly improve studying efficiency and overall usability.

App off while using Windows Good Note
If I adjust the size of the screen immediately right after taking notes, the screen stops instantaneously and is forcibly terminated. These errors occur frequently

Option for Static Text Editor Bar rather than Moving with Text Box
The text editor bar now moves with the text when you type with the new update. This is very distracting due to the constant shifting of the items on the bar while trying to type and blocks the other information on the page. PLEASE FIX URGENTLY.

Added detailed thickness adjustment
I’m currently using an Apple Pencil tip that’s optimized for 0.38, so I usually set it to that thickness. However, the available options are only 0.3, 0.35, and 0.4, which feels a bit limiting. It would be great if we could set more precise values like 0.38 or even 0.28 for finer control!

PDF export with outline
I know that using "editable" PDF export, the outline is appended. But this type of export is absolutely huge and provides no use for someone to whom I just want to send my notes. It would be much appreciated to be able to export "flattened" PDF with outline.

Download only the document you want
It would be nice if I could download only the documents I wanted. I have a small iPad mini capacity, but downloading all the documents makes the capacity so much that I can't even update the iPad os.

Return underlining button
GN recently took away the ability to do straight underling in favor of holding the pen until it snaps into place. I do a lot of underlining of study projects, and that was my most used feature. Now it is gone and it takes much more time to have to hold the pen for a straight line to snap into place. What is wrong with adding that button back into the annotation mix? I am sure I am not the only one who was dissapointed in this automatic new version. Is there a way to go back to the earlier…

Additional tape function is recommended
It's really annoying to erase the tape one by one
There must be a lot of people who use it exclusively for learning
Covering the entire tape It would be really convenient to put a function to cover the entire tape in the place of the tape tool, but it's a shame that there's no simple function like this.
