Better Support for typing (on iPads and Macs)
It would be amazing if text colour and size can be changed through keyboard shortcuts, and more advanced text features like Markdown can be brought in here. (Please learn from google docs and notion - thanks!)

scanned documents aspect ratio
When Scanning for example an A4 document, it is „placed“ on the GoodNotes standard aspect ratio, creating white unused space next to it. It would be nice to either be able to select the aspect ratio or that the document is simply imported just like a normal photo (not placed on any white background with the wrong aspect ratio)

Hashtags!
Allow for hashtagging (much like Apple Notes). This allows for easy searches, etc. GoodNotes is great, but hashtags will make it better!

Notification
Hi, passion planner release a digital version of their planner (www.passionplanner.com), they recommand to use goodnote 5 to have the best experience. I love your app and my passion planner, but it will be very very veryyyyyy usefull, for a person with ADHD (me :D), to have a notification calendar function in goodnote 5. Even for other fonction in goodnote 5, like flashcard and notebook. Sorry for my bad english writing, is not my first langage.

edit curved line angles, not just points
I would like to be able to change the angle at the end of a curved line and not just the position of the end point. I used to have a similar tool in Adobe Illustrator. I find myself often wishing for something similar in GoodNotes. I would be able to draw a wider range of curves and I do not think it would be so difficult to implement. we have some ideas for GoodNotes. First of all, we find a protractor very helpful for mathematics lessons. Next, a kind of pen, so that we can choose a color on a picture or paper and then paint or write with this color (I really hope you understood!)

Keep the text configuration
Every time you enter a Text into a text field and leave this particular text field, and create a new one at a different place. The previous configurations about the text field are set back to standard, and don’t stay the way you set it.
This is really inconvenient, because if you want to create a note with various text fields which are all in the same style, you have to configure the text settings again and again for every text field

Allow real-time sync with cloud storages like Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, etc so that files occupy less storage on the ipad, while allowing for editing and annotation of the file stored in the cloud. This would save a lot of space for those of us using lower end devices.

Would you please add the minimal API (AppleScript, JavaScript, command line interface, or other) required for App Name to work with Hook? Resize group of shapes but keep original thickness of the lines they are made of
I often re-use arrows and all sorts of frames (lined shapes without filling) that I need to immediately adjust in terms of size but not in terms of thickness.
Another user case is that I hand-write some text with a pen (not text tool) and then I need to make the whole of it a bit smaller or larger BUT KEEP THE THICKNESS of the lines.
Let’s say I drew an arrow with a pen 2 mm thick and then I need to make the shape bigger - longer in this case - BUT I STILL WANT IT TO BE…

Option to remove the hold to zoom/add comment menu
Whenever I’m writing my finger is held down on the screen and opens the menu shown in the photo. It’s extremely distracting and makes it impossible to use this app.

Option to fit all pages to one width
When rotating a page in a PDF document, the width of the single pages varies from the upright to the horizontal ones. This causes vertical scrolling to also scroll left or right sometimes. Double-tapping to zoom also doesn't feel as natural anymore.
I'd like to have an option to display all pages in the same width. That would solve both problems.4 votes -

It's straightforward.
Create a set of tools like found in Photoshop ( or any design software ) which allow objects ( text, images, shapes, stamps, etc.) to be selected and aligned to:
1. an object
2. the canvasAdditionally, add a tool for grouping and ungrouping objects and one to "send to the back" or "bring to the front" (practical when objects overlap ).

Zoom window line-break fix
When the zoom window extends past the edge of the page, the next line should appear inline following a grey area to denote the page boundary.
Currently, the zoom window handles line breaks inconsistently. If the blue 'advance' region is too long for the remainder of the line, it sometimes continues with a carriage return/ line break. However, the auto-advance does not always perform this line break. Sometimes, the blue region appears but only attempts to advance further within the same line. Enhance tab logic and text tool
Sometimes when users want to open a new document. They have to tap return multiple times to all folders if they have more folders inside folders for classification, and finally they can open the document they want. This severely decrease productivity and annoy users.
To make tab logic easier to understand, one tap for the “+” button can open a new tab for all documents and open the document they want faster.
Also for the text tool, we hope that users can set three default style for better visual hierarchy in text notes.

Support other formats - preview
All the things at one place - in GoodNotes
Please add support to as much formats as you can. Even links with just preview would be awesome. I don’t want to have some type of stuff in files and other in GoodNotes. I all the time struggle to find what I have and where.
