  2. Hello,

Thank you for your great app.

I would like to suggest a feature that could improve the user experience.

Currently, Goodnotes displays documents in a single-page view. It would be very helpful to have an option for a two-page spread (double-page view), similar to reading a physical book.

Additionally, it would be very useful to view two pages side-by-side or work in a dual-page (split) mode while taking notes.

This feature would greatly improve studying efficiency and overall usability.

    Thank you for your consideration.

  3. It'd be very useful to be able to change the thickness of writing after I have already written something. I often forget to change the thickness when I write and when I go back to edit. Just expanding the written text is NOT the same and makes it very difficult. Often, I have to delete the text and rewrite it, which wastes a lot of time. I have a friend who complains about it too, so it's good to know it's not just me. But please... I need this.

  4. Built-in browser or web search panel

When working on a note, project, or research database, I often need to look up information on Google or check the reference on the website.

With an in-app browser or a small search panel, users can browse and take notes without leaving good notes, creating a smoother and more efficient workflow.

  6. Hi development team, can you develop a swap function between question and answer in flash card (suggest to add when you take the practice or smart learn)? It could help us a lot to learn new word

  7. Instead of having a separate color pallet for pens/ highlights/ text, have the option to use colors from one pallet on another tool. Ex: using pen color presets for text or highlighters. I often use the same color in different tools for my notes but in doing so I have to create the same color pallet for each tool.

  8. The existing shape tool uses a "draw and hold" feature to automatically recognize shapes. While useful, this can lead to incorrect shape detection, especially when drawing quickly in time-sensitive environments like college lectures. The tool may select the wrong shape, causing frustration and slowing down workflow.

Implement an option to pre-select specific shapes (e.g., rectangle, circle, arrow, straight line) before drawing, similar to the shape selection tools available in Microsoft OneNote or Word. This would allow users to choose their desired shape in advance and draw it more quickly and accurately without relying on the shape recognition feature.

  9. It would be great to have an option to convert typed text to handwritten notes in your writing style using AI. This could be available in the select bar above the text field when you press on it, with a button labeled Convert to Handwritten Notes.

  10. When you convert handwriting into text it would be great if every time it converted the text with the same font and color you have saved as default options

  11. The experimental math conversion tool for Goodnotes6 is fairly good. It can convert most of 1-liner math handwriting satisfactory!
However, it seems that the color of produced math formula is black only and can't be changed.
Please make it possible to change color of the produced formulas, like other objects such as lines and typed texts. Assuming LaTeX as the conversion backend, it shouldn't be very difficult to make it by inserting a preamble \color{colorname} just before the math script.

  13. A basic word processing format is multiple columns that can hold text. Currently, even though in the paper choice section columns are offered as an option, when using columns, there is no way to actually put text on the adjacent columns. Text will not flow over nor can a simple cursor touch move text flow over to the next column.

  14. The ability to preserve the links that are added to notebooks when exporting to PDF. This would help immensely to continue to be able to navigate the documents with the hyperlinks that were created in the Goodnotes app. Obviously this would only apply to URLs and the links within the same document, not links to other notebooks but it would still be a huge help!

  15. Instead of searching indexed text, I want to be able to search with a handwritten phrase/drawing. The result would be whatever looks most similar in my handwriting. This would be a game changing feature.

  16. I wish I could choose whether to see the answer first or the question when I study. Alternatively, I wish I that when I duplicate the card and flip it over

  17. Having an option to disable the smart learn mode for a given study set feels essential. As of now, a study set that I used Smart Learn mode on one time keeps notifying me in the menu forever, while I don’t need to learn it anymore.

This also risks keeping me from finding the sets that I need to study now, in the midst of all past study sets.

I don’t want to delete them, I just wish I could disable the smart learn mode/notifications for specific sets.

  18. I would like the highlight tool to work as a copy select tool works. When moving the pen along page we will be able to highlight. As well as implementing tapping to remove highlights.

Instead of having to lift pen to move down a row to highlight you just glide over the selected text you would like to highlight.

It would be much more efficient this way. I noticed this inconvenience when switching to apples book reading tool and highlighting in there was much more seamless. Thank you for taking the time to read this if you did.

  19. Currently there are two ways to highlight text from an imported PDF: using the highlight tool and highlighting freely the document with the aid of a pencil, or manually selecting the text and clicking on the highlight option.
The latter method is more flexible for tasks such as studying on a textbook, as the highlight adjusts in size with the underlying text. Unfortunately, it is a very time consuming approach as it requires to first select the text, wait for a menu popup and then select highlight.
It would be convenient to have an alternate behavior for the highlight tool,…

  20. Similar to the old school paper notebooks, I am having difficulty writing at the bottom of any page, as my hand is out of level from the notebook (iPad goodnotes) and I do not like leaving my pages half blank just because its a digital notebook.

It will be very helpful to write with the same comfort level on the whole page if the bottom of the page can be pulled to the middle (at least while in Zoom) with non-writable blank space to put my palm on.
