Let us record normally without requiring “record and summarize”
Can’t figure out a way to record without the dumb AI features. Unknowingly used all my credits in the span of an hour because I couldn’t just record audio and it forced me to do the ai summarize too. So annoying

[Audio Recording] Fix issue where audio stops or disappears in split-screen mode
When using GoodNotes in split-screen mode, I record audio on one side so I can listen to it later, while studying for a test on the other side. However, if I close the screen I’m studying on, the recording disappears. The same thing happens when I try to open a different document on the study side — the recording stops and disappears.
This feature worked fine before the update and also in GoodNotes 5, so I really want this issue fixed immediately. It’s seriously affecting my test preparation, and I’m having a lot of trouble because of it. Please fix…

Make the voice imported or exported within the file or alone
My idea is make the voice imported from voice memo or export it alone or within the file itself ( as in the pdf expert and document app ) as shown in the photo below
Please voice this as it is crucial for every persone to save there files for the future

[Audio Recording] Allow recorded audio to be attached next to handwritten notes
音楽の授業で、先生のお手本のフレーズをメモするために録音機能を使っています。手書きのメモの横に録音した素材を貼り付けることが出来たら、振り返りがもっと簡単になるのになぁと思っています。
In music class, I use the recording function to write down the teacher's sample phrases. If you could paste the recorded material next to the handwritten memo, it would be easier to look back.11 votes -
[Audio Recording] Allow Manual Scrolling While Live Transcript Is Running
As a college student who uses audio recordings in lectures to ensure I can write exactly what the professor says, it is frustrating that I cannot scroll up while a live transcript is going. Each time I try to scroll up, it automatically pulls you back down to what is currently being transcribed. I would like to be able to scroll up, it keeps my place, and click a button when you want to resume current transcript.

Writing while audio is paused.
I use audio recordings to complete my notes afterwards. However, when I pause to start writing, the audio jumps to the beginning. In previous versions, as far as I remember, the audio stayed paused and my notes were added at that point, so when I replayed the audio, the notes appeared exactly where I wanted them to.
(It works when the sidebar is large, but not when it is minimized)

Audio recordings improvement for new Update
The new update is not user-friendly at all. The toolbar is difficult to use, and this is especially evident in the audio recording feature. When you start recording, a separate window appears outside the toolbar, taking up screen space and getting in the way. In the previous version, recording was indicated only by a small discreet icon in the toolbar, so writing wasn’t interrupted.
In addition, when you play back the recording, every time you want to stop it and play it again, another unnecessary panel pops up on the left side of the screen, making the process time-consuming.Overall,…

Recording issue
There is no feature of changing page templates all together,we have to change separately, this is annoying.Another thing is that pdf quality can't be determined,if there will be option for changing quality of extracted pdf, it will be more good,
And please add a calculator in the app.During extraction of pdf, page range should be added. Also there is problem in recording procedure, once open a record,it becomes minimized, can’t take full screen again.Again once I tap on one of my annotation and select play recording, there is no slide bar appears and can’t close, pause etc which is annoying.please fix these problems

[Audio Recording] Text-to-speech Reader
I use a different app (speechify) to read off pdfs, etc to me. It works really well and helps me get through readings in in uni I would struggle with other wise. However, I much prefer to highlight my readings, etc as a doc in goodnotes. I think such a feature would be immensely helpful for college students in good notes.

Audio
A dedicated tab where all audio recordings from different files can be viewed in one place. This would make it more efficient, especially when freeing up storage space, since users can easily see and delete recordings without having to open each file individually to check for audio content. Additional tab like the ones below.

Audio
Would be nice if we are able to access all recordings from different files in one tab. It would be more convenient to be able to access all recordings, from different files, in one single tab. When freeing up space, it is such a hassle opening files one by one to check if there’s a recording. A tab where all recordings can be seen makes deleting the audios quicker.

MiniPlayer Opens on All Windows causing Lag
Before, when using Goodnotes with stage manager, if I started audio playback then the app lagged badly if multiple windows with the same notebook were open.
Now, if multiple windows are open, the app lags to a stop. This is because starting playback on any notebook from a recording (required to address another bug) opens the miniplayer on EVERY Goodnotes window, which causes substantial lag. This is insufferable.
This behavior has continued ever since the introduction of the New Experience.

Fix Timeline Bugs
Since the introduction of the GoodNotes 6 New Experience, Audio Recording began exhibiting several workflow-breaking bugs.
Originally, upon starting playback in a note, the timeline would open. Now that does not happen, costing me minutes.
Originally, I could pause playback and then take notes, which would then be correlated to that moment in the playback. In other words, I could hold down on the new text and continue audio playback.
Now, whenever I write notes and audio is paused, the timeline jumps to 0:00.
Please fix this.

One Large Text Document for AI Generated Notes from Audio/ Pause Button
It would be really nice if we could have the option for the AI generated notes from different audio clips to go into one text doc/generated note. For example, if I had notes from one module but it took 2 lectures to get through, I could add them to the same text document. All the AI generated Notes for one notebook would be in one document. Alternatively, having a pause button for the recording (NOT STOP) so that it paused then continued recording in the same audio clips would be great. OR the ability to combine audio clips or combine…

Video & screen recording while taking notes
Currently, there is no iPad app that allows video (screen + optional audio+facecam) recording while taking handwritten notes in an integrated way.
Adding this feature would clearly set GoodNotes ahead of all competitors and turn it into a complete learning and teaching platform, especially for students and educators.1 vote -

audio recording accessory
Hi! After the latest GoodNotes 6 update, a small recording bar shows up on the top right when recording audio.
It’s fixed there, and since I’m right-handed, I keep accidentally touching it while writing — which stops the recording 😭
It would be great if we could move it or just have a small recording indicator in the main toolbar instead. That would make note-taking while recording so much easier! Thanks a lot for listening 💙

Request for More Flexible Audio Playback Speed Options
I often record my university lectures and listen to them later, but I find the current playback speed options a bit limiting. For example, 1x feels too slow, while 1.5x is slightly too fast.
it would be much more convenient if users could adjust the playback speed in smaller increments, such as 0.1 steps, or have additional options like 1.2x and 1.3x.
This would greatly improve the listening experience when reviewing recorded lectures.
Thank you.1 vote -
[Audio Recording] Speech-to-text / Dictation
I use goodnotes in uni and have audio recording turned on during notes in my lectures. The thing I have noticed is that while helpful, for many of my classes, when I go to make refined notes it means i have to go back and listen to the whole lecture again (often pausing alot write down and catchup with things the prof said). This means that I often have to spend 2-3 hours on a one hour lecture just to get everything the prof said written down so I don’t miss anything. Thats alot of time dedicated to a class…
